We ordered the OPT-RADIOCAN Opteka Wireless Radio Remote Release for our Canon Rebel. After reading several reviews on various remotes we decided on this one since it was the radio controlled. The ordering process was very easy. We ordered it on Aug. 23 and received it Aug. 27. My husband has a new toy now. He's very excited about it and says it works great! This is a very good site to order camera accessories and equipment. I will definitely come back to this store for the next item I need. I have enjoyed working with Roee (sorry if I spelled it wrong brother) and have found him, and everyone I've dealt with at 47th Street, to be good-natured and knowledgeable. What's even more refreshing is they admit when they don't know something and help find the answer instead of lying or changing the subject.
47th street offers equipment and shipping that beats their competition hands down. That seems to have caused a bit of jealousy with the other retailers. However, when I called Sigma to check if there were any negative reports I was informed "Problems? No, as a matter of fact 47th street is probably our biggest and best resale partner". That's pretty big praise from a company like Sigma and what's even better is it's easy for you to check up on as well.
I'm not really sure what others are complaining about when discussing customer service. These guys are quite possibly one of the best I've dealt with. I have a hard time believing complaints about unresponsiveness and honestly feel that there is something deeper going on in these few complainers.
I have had 3 orders recently that were handled with courtesy and professionalism that left one of the big two in the dirt. As a matter of fact Adorama lost my business and that of the majority of my photography club because of one salesman but, that's for my adorama review not this one.
Horrible experience thus far. Ordered a Sigma 17-70 F/2.8 for my Canon 40D. Really needed it for the weekend, so I paid an extra $10 for 2-day shipping. Seven days later ... still no camera, though the charge had hit my CC account. So I called, they offer to overnight the lens, only to receive the Sigma in a Nikon mount. Still waiting to hear back from them ...

Firstly, they're very Professional.
Your order is taken care of very quickly. All your items are dispatched in one package [where possible] thereby offseting the postage costs. [I live in Tasmania, Australia-so this is significant]
[2]47th St. keep you informed of what they are doing. I'm always fully in the loop. There is no guess-work as to what's going on. [also important, as I live so far away].
[3] They have a great range of goods. Many marvellous kinds of products. So many of which, I've not seen before. Precisely manufactured products, that are incredibly useful. Not frivolous gadgets that are solutions looking for problems.
[4] Great Quality. Their items are, & do, exactly what it says on the box. There's been no incompatability problems twixt my photo equipment & their accessories. The lenses and flash-guns I've purchased so far..[another order is in the works at the moment-because I'm so impressed with them!!]...have worked beautifully. Producing truly Excellent exposures.
[5] Very Keen prices. I've been under the impression that the best bargains would be found buying from South-East Asia. Not So. 47th Street have Provided me with some of my Best Buys & many of my nicest accessories..EVER!
I intend to do most of my purchasing from this merchant in the future.
In fact, I feel a little disappointed in myself for not having made the great majority of my purchases from these great people in the past.
47th Street Photo have not only met all of my expectations, they have soundly exceeded them!

Ordered camera lens thru Amazon. Purchased and shipped from 47th Street Photo. Order shipped in less than 24 hours...Surprize! Waiting for delivery...so far, so good. Will use again.
Terrible service, rec'd wrong items, no response to 3 emails and phone calls. Items rec'd were cheaper and inferior to what I ordered and paid for. Company will not respond to repeated requests to call or email me back and no one answers the phone there when I try to call. I will never use this company again.
I would recomend this company to anyone.
