I hope these "retailers" are brought up on charges with the Federal Trade Commission. During the call to confirm my order, he said that I would need another baterry because the one that came with the Canon SD630 only lasts half an hour. Why? The product was refurbished & only came with a temporary battery, which wasn't mentioned anywhere on the website. To which he responded that it didn't have to mention that. I told him that I would like to cancel the order.
"Unfortunately, we're going to have to charge you a 25% cancelation fee."
I thought he was kidding. To which he began telling me...
"What. You think i'm kidding with you?"
me: uhhh... yes
him: Well i'm not. Welcome to the real world.

I would not recommend anyone ever trying to order anything from them. Good luck if you do.

Do not under any circumstances order from this store. I placed an order for a digital camera. When I called to confirm my order, I got the same pressure as many others have reported to order additional equipment like an extra memory card. As soon as I hung up I had a bad feeling about the transaction so I immediately called back to cancel my order. This guy became irate and started yelling profanities at me. He said "I have your credit card information right here and I'll post it all over the internet to ruin your life!" He also yelled at me "Don't f*#@ with me, I'll f*#@ing destroy you!" I immediately hung up and called my credit card company to cancel my account. I also filed a police report. These people are completely insane, possibly violent, and under no circumstances should be allowed to remain in business. I WISH I had read all these bad reviews before placing my order!!!

Avoid this on-line retailer like the plague. They are the epitome of "bad business." This was the first time in 8 years of purchasing on-line that I have run into such fraudulent practices. There should be Internet authorities to take these types of sites down and throw these people in jail where they belong.

I recently finished ordering an item online from Wawadigital. But wait; there was a surprise!

Nowhere on the web page was anything mentioned about this being a refurbished or repaired product, not even in the smaller print of the product description near the bottom of the web page.

When I called to confirm the order, I was surprised to be asked, “Why did you order the refurbished model?” When I told them I would accept the refurbished model, they said, “OK.” I also told them I didn’t need a memory card as I was replacing a lost camera and already had memory cards. The salesman accepted my order. About 15 minutes later I received an email: ORDER CANCELLATION.

When I called the ‘customer service’ extension instead of the ‘confirm sales’ extension, guess what? I’m talking to the same salesman. When I pointed out that his web site indicated ‘In Stock: Yes’ and that during the ‘confirmation call’ he said, “Yes, we have that camera in stock,” he proceeded to call me a “loser” and followed with expletives.

Is this a business you want to support? These folks erode the confidence of online consumers. Other online businesses should have an organization that will actively police businesses like Wawadigital.com.

STAW AWAY from this company. They will call you to sell you some extras and tell you what a fool you are for ordering what they had for sale, since something more expensive would be so much better. Then, when you send them an email, you'll find their return email address doesn't work. This is without a doubt the worst Internet shopping experience I have ever had!

HOLY COW!!!

I was about to enter my credit card info for buying a sony hc42. The price seemed to be the lowest online.
However, the 1000+ reviews on everyprice.com for wawadigital seemed so sweet, it was almost unbelievable, which made me suspicious. Also the Verisign image on the wawa site seemed to be fake and there was no 'lock' sign on the IE statusbar which should be present for any verisign certified site. Also they asked me to enter all my credit card information to even create my account, which was again a little funny.

I did a little more research on this company and came across this site(reseller ratings), with hundreds of people who had been duped by this online site.

Thanking my stars that I did not go ahead and enter my info and buy from this site.

Thank you guys and am sorry for the people who had to go through this crap!!!

I will keep others warned.

crook, very rude, disrespectfull. call in to cancel order and they never did. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. They don't have anything on stock, always in back order. the first time you call in they will tell you it gonna take 2-3 weeks, second time you call in, your order takes 6-8 weeks. they are buying times to rob your money.

I was ripped off. My internet invoice was for $217.30. They called me, tried to sell me more features which I declined, then billed me $329. They did not respond to emails, and refused to refund my money by phone without a 20% restocking fee.
Stay away from these crooks.

I placed an order with wawadigital online for a canon SD630. Their web interface sucks as it did not tell me the grand total which would be charged to my credit card until I submitted my order!
I was not happy with the total so when I tried to call them to cancel my order they were closed all day saturday eventhough the website says they are available in the afternoon on saturdays.

Next time I called them was on monday and the first person I talked to was very rude on the phone I had no clue as to the status of my order when he discontinued the conversation and ended the phone call.

I called back again and got in touch with a different sales person who then was able to cancel my order.

(I did email them the same day I placed my order and have yet not anyword if they got my email or not!)

BEWARE! This store is a sham. I experienced exactly the same encounters as others who have bought from this store.
I received a phone call to confirm my purchase. The sales man told me I was buying a great camera, but I should buy a SD card. I told him I already had one. He then wanting me to buy an upgrade kit, but I told him all I wanted was the camera. He then told me that the order is cancelled and then hung up. I called him back and he again told me that the order has been cancelled and he did not want to sell it to me. The ratings on Everyprice.com had this company at 5 stars with over 1,000 review. But, after doing some more research, it appears that this company is a FRAUD! If you don't buy more, then your order is cancelled. What's worse, is that they now have my credit card #. This is a scary company. STAY AWAY!

LAW ENFORCEMENT NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS STORE.
I never received a receipt or confirmation number/tracking number. I wish I had seen these reviews first. I tried to cancel my order the morning after I ordered when I discovered they gave me false information on the digital camera I was ordering in order to get me to buy additional items, and like others, was told I had to pay a 20% cancellation fee or they would send a collection agency after me. I was threatened, called a "moth**f****ing c**t" among other things, and told that they knew where I lived, had my address, all my info, had my credit card info, so we would just see what happened to me, and to my credit. Pretty scary -- if you were victimized by them, CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD, PUT A FRAUD ALERT ON YOUR FILE WITH TRANSUNION/EQUIFAX/EXPERIAN, AND REPORT YOUR INCIDENT with the Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov or 1-877-382-4357), the Internet Fraud Complaint Center (www.ic3.gov), the state attorney general's office and the Better Business Bureau and anyone else you can think of. This needs to stop.
Thankfully, they refunded my money after I threatened to take legal action.

I've complained about these people before from my previous purchase but I recently found that they have attempted to put more than $2000 in charges on my credit card at electronic stores and gas stations around the new york area. I'll overlook the fact that the local stores are accepting a fake credit card or just allowing "James" to charge my card w/o the card or ID. I've turned them into the FTC, District Attorney, FBI and BBB all of which have done little to nothing to shutting down this operation...it's a complete fraud and they're stealing identities and money from honest people, they're criminals and should be behind bars and it makes me sick that they are getting away with it.

I placed an order with wawadigital.com for a Sony DSC-T9 camera. I received a confirmation number. That confirmation requested that I call (866) 722-7209 to confirm that order. The male person that I spoke to thanked me for the order and told me that he needed to confirm my billing and shipping addresses, which he did.

He then told me what a wonderful camera the Sony was but there were two essentials that I needed. He told me the battery that came with the camera was only good for thirty minutes and that it would take overnight to recharge. He offered a five hour fast charge battery at a great price, he said. He said I also needed a memory card because the one that came with the camera was totally inadequate. And he went on and on as to why. I finally interrupted him and told him that I only wanted what I had ordered for now and that we could add the accessories later. He said that he didn’t want to lose a customer and because he was the supervisor and the one that set the prices he was going to make me a very special deal and sell to me below cost. (Why would anyone want to do that?) I tried to tell him I wanted only what I had ordered but he just kept talking over me. Finally, I raised my voice enough that he could hear me say that he was going to lose a customer if he didn’t stop pushing.

At that point he referred to me in several vulgarities. He then punctuated a stream of obscenities by telling me that he was going to come over and F… my wife. He then said I don’t want your F….n business, I’m cancelling your F..n order you Pr… A.. hole.

A few minutes later I received an e-mail as follows:
5/4/2006 2:48:24 PM

Thank you for placing your order with Wawa Digital.

Unfortunately, the product you requested is currently unavailable.

We try our best to fulfill your order as we appreciate your business, and your business makes our business successful.
We feel it is in your best interest that we cancel your order, so that you have ample time to source the product from
another supplier. We do not benefit from turning your business away and apologize for any inconvenience. Unfortunately,
we do not accept backorders because the manufacturers provide us with unreliable ETA's (estimated time of arrival) for
their products. We would not be providing the best service to our customers by holding an order and not knowing when it
will be available to ship.
We have attempted to source the item from all our suppli! ers across the country, but we were unsuccessful. On occasions,
we receive more orders than we have products before our website is updated. Also if you ordered over the weekend,
there is no one to physically research the order until the following working day. Please note that we are closed
on Saturday and Sunday.

We have not charged your credit card. In the event that we have charged your card, we will
reverse it immediately.

Our Deepest Apologies,

I just cancelled my credit card.

I don’t know anything about this company but I am amazed that such respected names as Sony, Olympus, Minolta, Canon, Casio, Pentax, Nikon, Fuji, Kodak, Panasonic, JVC, Hitachi, Toshiba, Apple Computer, and Verisign, are associated with it.

I owned and operated a business for many years and just the thought of having any employee speak and treat customers or anyone else in that manner makes me feel sick. I know that I would not want my name associated with such a company. I am writing them to let them know that their names are being dragged through the sewer.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Warning - Poor Customer Service and Credit Card Theft....
I purchased a Canon Powershot S500 frow Wawadigital.com. The website indicated that this was a new camera for $196.10. The order did not arrive, and I had received some pre-recorded messages asking that I call an 866 number which I did. The website also indicated that my order was on "hold."

Upon calling I was told that I had ordered a "refurbished," camera. I was told that I should order a "new," camera or I would not have any warranty, and that the camera would likely be "scratched." I fell for it and eventually ordered a camera which cost me $249.99 + $25.60 for "Shipping Handling & Insurance," for a total of $275.59.

The sales person also tried really hard to sell me another battery and a memory card. Thankfully I was able to refuse those!

Shortly after completing the transaction I had two fraudulent transactions made on the same credit card which I had used to order from wawadigital.com. I have had to cancel my credit card and am now working on reversing the charges.

The company whose name is on the invoice which came with the camera is:
The Camera Whiz
83 AVE. O
Brooklyn, NY 11204
866-722-7209

A friend had exactly the same camera, and a warranty confirmation card, with the serial number for the camera pre-printed on the card. My camera box had no such warranty card. I really hope I can get warranty service if I need it!

Bottom line.... Don't do business with these people. If you're reading this and have already ordered from them, or given them your credit card info. then watch your credit card statement like a hawk!

I ordered what I told was a new Panasonic FZ30 Camera from WaWaDigital's website. They called me the next day to "confirm my order" then tried to pressure me into buying overpriced accessories. When I didn't buy they stated the camera was refurbished. When I challenged them about their website not stating it was refurbished, they declared my order cancelled and hung up. No one should buy from this company.
