I ordered a Macbook Pro from Canada, and the experience with Portable One was awesome. Shortly after I placed an order, I received an email from Scott letting me know they had to do some paperwork for it because it was in international order, and gave me a date of which he said they would ship it out overnight. They shipped it out when they said they would, and it came well packaged. Will order from again.
Ordered a NC10 netbook. Very friendly and helpful customer service, shipped quickly, product came in perfect condition. Would buy from them again, no question.
Guys at P1 are very very helpful, I bought a Vaio Z750D/B from them, and I sent like 18 emails, they respond immediately to my questions and concerns, plus, what do we buyers care for most???
Well, PRICES, and surely their prices are more than great, given the professional type of Support you get along with your gadgets.
I feel safe and sound that I invested a huge amount of money on a mind blowing laptop that I bought from P1.
So, Prices are great, Support is great, what do we expect more?
really P1 is most recommended seller I dealt with, and will definitely return to them for all my future purchases.
If customer service is an artform, then the folks at PortableOne are Master Artists.
I bought 2 computers and 1 netbook from Portable One over the past 18 months. The number of questions I made the sales crew answer could probably get them entered into the Guiness Record Book... yet they always managed to stay friendly and helpful. I can not give Scott and crew nearly enough praise.

Customer service after the sale is unbelievable! I had a problem with an Asus notebook that was resolved imediately and in a better than expected manner. I have purchased two notebooks from them in the past and will always return for the best in price and the very best in Customer Service! The sales staff are very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with as well.
I just ordered my second computer from Portable One. I have never had anything but excellent support from them, before, during, and after the sale. They are friendly and knowledgable and it's nice to know I have them there for any followup. They are great folks!
One of the best companies I have had the pleasure of dealing with for my online purchases. The level of customer service they have is extraordinary, every question I asked was answered fast and precisely, no beating around the bush. I must commend Portable One for the excellent service provided when I ordered 2 Sony VAIO laptop computers in June 2009. I was a bit nervous about buying these machines online and also, because I am based in the Caribbean, I was afraid of receiving faulty machines from the US at such a long distance - well overseas, you know. Scott was very good at understanding my uneasiness about the overseas purchase and the fact that I needed to get the choices right for my 2 teenaged daughters. He responded promptly and to the point each time I sent an email query and there were countless of these before I finally made up my mind! Very importantly, Scott was also chatty and tried to suggest what girls might like in laptops, and he did not ever make me feel that I was just a statistic in his day! When my laptops were ordered and finally arrived, one did not start up - panic set in, but I had faith in Scott and Portable One, and emailed Scott immediately. Patrick took over and via several quick email communications, Patrick had identified the problem - I forget the details now but something to do with the op system and Windows version not being in sync. - anyway, once Patrick had worked it out, he knew I had to get a new hard drive. I pleaded for this new drive to be delivered asap, and Portable One responded to this plea. I had my new drive within a few days (better than I expected, having to wait on it in the Caribbean), and my 2 VAIOs have been working very well since. Thanks to Portable One, Scott and Patrick for ensuring that I made the right choices and also did not get left in the cold after delivery.

I'm admittedly picky when it comes to notebooks. I heard about Portable One on a laptop forum I read from time to time when trying to find a new device; the comments were all glowing, so I tried the company for myself.
Scott at P1 has been nothing short of wonderful. Their online store's prices are generally reasonable as is when compared to what you'd see from the manufacturer, but he was willing to go the extra mile to sweeten the deal a bit, so to speak, on some fairly high-end machines. Even when I had to return a computer because I wasn't entirely satisfied with it, Scott/P1 was willing to work with me and help me find something else to fill its place.
Their customer service via email and chat was quick and to-the-point, addressing exactly what was asked.
I generally stick to the big, trusted places online -- Amazon, NewEgg, and the like -- but P1 is definitely on my list for any relevant purchases down the line. I have already referred friends and others to Scott for their laptop shopping, and I'll continue to do so.
After a long and intense research I wanted to get the cool looking Sony Vaio Z540. After hearing so much good about PortableOne (P1) I placed an order for an Vaio Z540NAB with SSD and clean OS upgrade the 20th of april.
Unfortantly the last one was grabbed the day before but i was promised sony would send new stock within an week. The stock never came and I started to get worried since I needed the notebook badly for an special event by 9th of May.
Scott from P1 did a great job spotting an alternative for me, and he actually found a BETTER alternative for me with the Vaio Z 540NFB, which have a faster CPU and more RAM than the original Z 540NAB I ordered.
The notebook was shipped by Fedex the 1st of May and arrived the 7th of May in Denmark.. well almost! The truck from Fedex had an accident and never showed up at my adress. Fedex told me I could get my packard re-delievered by the 11th of may (since the 8th of may is a hollyday in Denmark) - seriously bad luck! (I still needed the notebook for the 9th of may!) Luckily Fedex custom-service was flexiable and I was able the pick my packard up around 30 km from my adress.
Unfortantly when i opended the packard I noticed the one corner of the Z was not attached properbly. Scott and Patrick offered great support via e-mail, and after some reading in the service-manual of the Z I managed to fix the problem myself and the notebook was ready to use on the 9th of may!
I have now had this notebook for around one month and it has worked PERFECTLY - the machine is simply amazing! The custom OS Image P1 installed on my system is great and the SSD they installed into my system as well is performing like a dream.
I am the type who always has had desktop PC's because I didn't believe notebooks would be powerful enough for my needs (Photoshop and other graphic applications)-but this notebook is just great and works excellent for my highly demanding needs.
I must say I am highly surpriced by P1's fantastic customer service and very fast reply-time. Scott answered my (MANY!) questions within hours (even minuttes!). He also did a great job in finding an alternative Z540 when sony let him down on the NAB-model. Also Patrick guided me beautifully when I should fix my problem.
I will recommend this seller to everyone looking for a notebook and I'm going to be a returning customer.

My experience with Portable One is one in which tremendous customer service turned a small problem into a great blessing. I recommend Portable One wholeheartedly, and I will look to them first for future laptop purchases for myself, my family, my friends, and others whom I advise on the purchase of a laptop.
I wanted to purchase for my mom a Sony Vaio SR with an upgraded 7,200 RPM, 320 GB hard drive. Having read on notebookreview.com about how great Portable One (P1) is, I decided to make my purchase through them.
When I first received the SR from P1, it lacked an integrated web cam, which the specs indicated would be included. I got in touch with Scott at P1, and he was able to determine that Sony had published inaccurate specs. Scott immediately went to work on my behalf, exchanging at P1’s cost the SR I received for an SR with a web cam.
To make a long story short, because the class of SR I ordered was in fact no longer being produced by Sony, in the end Scott got Sony to give me a $100 discount off my purchase price while at the same time, in fact, upgrading my purchase to a newer version of the SR that included not only the web cam but also more RAM and, significantly, a better processor. Moreover, Scott threw in free overnight shipping to expedite the laptop to me. In the end I paid $928 for about $1,400 worth of laptop.
I am very grateful to Scott and the rest of the staff at Portable One for their outstanding customer service. I will look to P1 first for future laptop purchases, and I highly recommend you do the same.
Portable One did an amazing job of fixing my under warranty computer. My laptop had a broken hinge and the monitor was not working. They immediately replaced the lcd and even replaced my faulty touchpad without me asking them! My computer literally looks brand new. They went above and beyond my expected level of service. Definitely get your machine serviced with these guys.
Portableone has a very nice, easy to talk to customer service. It was almost unbelievable because I never had to wait on the phone or felt like I was going through a maze of automated machines. I received an upgraded Sony Z540 which I love to death and has worked the last few days like a dream. I had a delayed notice on the shipping of the laptop from Sony to Portableone that I had to call and find out about, but they were able to receive the laptop and expedite the shipping so I could receive my laptop on time. I'll have to see if everything works out for the next couple of years, but it's worked out great so far!
My sales agent, Scott, was well-informed, efficient and very helpful. The computer, a Sony "Z," arrived earlier than promised and (so far) has exceeded my expectations. I would use them, and enthusiastically, too (and by personality I am generally disinclined to write such laudatory comments.
I just ordered a netbook from them, they shipped it when they said they would ship it, and I got it on time, and love the product. Best thing about this store is they really give you personal attention, when you email them you actually get a real person replying the same day (your mileage may vary), who truly wants to help! That's a rarity in today's world of nameless customer service reps. I feel like you can trust this company and its people to give you great service. They have a great selection of stylish notebooks, and the price was pretty competitive too.
