On November 20, 2008 I ordered a refill for my PowerBook laptop battery.
Their website stated:
“Fast turnaround time.”
“We can finish the refill service and have your refilled battery sent back to you in 7-10 business days after receiving your battery. Please allow approximately two weeks to complete the process. (After placing your order one week's time is needed to have your battery shipped to us and returned to you. It takes on average another week to refill and properly test your battery before it is sent back.)”
I received no word from them other than the computer generated email notification of December 2nd, stating that my battery had been received. I assumed that because of the holidays, it would take longer to complete the process.
What follows, is the email correspondence with eBattery, A.K,A. BatteryRefill.com from the last four months. To date (3/29/09), I have not received a refund! I will update this complaint when and if I receive a refund check.
You must BEWARE of this company!

Dear Mr. G. R.,
We are informing you that the new shipment of Powerbook battery cells
have not passed custom hold as of yet. We recelled your battery, but the
cells we had wasn't compatible for your circuit. We need these new cells to
recallibrate and to reset the circuit components of your refilled battery
that we are going to ship back to you. Our technician have to make sure all
testings for mah, capacity, voltage, and data comes out with the right
information. Our shipping department manager has authorized that we will be
receiving the shipment (Jan.17). It will take up to 3 business days to
recell and finalize your battery. We are so terribly sorry for the delay of
your battery. For the long delay, we'll have you on top priority list for
shipment. Thank you for your time and business with us. Have a great day!

Dear Mr. G. R.,
We are so sorry about the long delay and inconvenience. We did get new
shipment of cells in, but however our technician is having a hard time with
your circuit component. Our technician have to make sure all testings for
mah, capacity, voltage, and data comes out with the right information, but
somehow your battery keeps showing low mah (low capacity charge). Give our
technician up to four business days to see what we can do for your circuit
component. We might have to order you a new circuit at no additional cost
for the long delay. Once it's serviced and completed, an email confirmation
will be sent to you. We really appreciate your patience. We'll email you
with an updated notice within four business days! Thank you for your time
and have a blessed day!

Please return the $59.00 deducted from my Visa credit card on 11/20/08
in payment for the refurbishment of a PowerBook 180 battery which was
not done and which I did not receive. You may keep the dead PowerBook
180 battery I sent to you, to be refurbished and recelled. All I want
at this point, is to have my money returned and to end the business
arrangement I made with you.
Thank you,
G. R.

So, I have to wait on top of waiting for months, to get my money
returned for services you were unable to perform? I do not want to
wait to get some check reviewed by anyone nor do I wish to wait for
your CEO to look at it and later sign it. Two weeks is unacceptable! I
want you to issue a check this week or return the money to my Visa
account.
I was patient with your slow service. At the time, I wished to give
you the benefit of the doubt. But at present, I feel you are taking
advantage of me. Please return my money at once. I do not wish to wait
weeks more!

March 6, 2009
Dear Mr. R.,
We're sorry, but it's passed 60 days since you've placed the order, so
theres no way we can issue the refund through your credit card. The refund
check has to go through the process of review before we can get the check
signed off, and mailed out to you Mr. R. Please be a little more
patient and you will receive your refund check shortly. Thank you for your
time and have a great day!

I paid ebattery $79 on 11/25/08 via an online order to replace the battery cells for my hp 3 year old laptop. They immediately sent me a pre-paid overnight package to send them the battery. After not receiving anything from e-battery by 1/15/09, I called them and was told that my battery cells were on back-order and it would take a couple of weeks to complete my order. As of 2/23/09 I had not received my battery or any information regarding the status of my battey. Attempts to contact the company resulted in finding that the phone numbers I had for ebattery were no longer in service nor were the many other numbers I found for ebattery online. The one active number I could find only had a recorded messgage about their hours of operation. I got this message during the hours of operation. I filed a claim on with the California Better Business Bureau on 2/25/09. On 3/6/09, ebattery returned my battery. However, the battery is in the same condition as when I sent it in November 2008. ebattery has not refunded my $79.

Tried to get an update on my order today. All the company numbers have been disconnected. Last week I finally was able to talk to a live person and was told my order would be shipped Priority Mail on Thursday. Now, I doubt I'll ever see my battery again. I did find several websites with warnings about this company. It appears they are out of business for good.

I mailed an $89.00 check and the battery on December 2, 2008; the check was cashed on December 9, 2009. It is now February 15, 2009; they will not answer emails, no phone calls; they were enthusiastic and returned my call before I sent the battery, now that the check has been cashed, not a word. This is a scam! It is a rip-off! BUYER BEWARE, THERE ARE OTHER COMPLAINTS ON LINE.

I needed a new battery for my 6yr old laptop. I checked everywhere but nobody sells at reasonable price. I found one guy sells it for $189. With that much money, I rather buy a new laptop. I decided to try refill service. It worked out great for me. I am happy with this company’s service.

Purchased a refill service through Ebay. After two months and 4 emails, they have yet to respond or to send my battery. Paypal says that it is after their "magic" 45 day period, so it looks like I'm out $109. Something has happened to this company recently because they provided good service to a friend of mine two years ago. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. THEY ARE CROOKS NOW.

I sent my battery for a Sony Vaio laptop (purchased 4/2002) in December. They were the type that were recalled due to overheating, but mine weren't recalled. I contacted them a few months later, and they said there was a short delay. I lost track of it, because I bought a new laptop in April. I didn't realize until now that they had charged my credit card already. I contacted them about my battery and they said they would send "one of their own(?)" right away - never received anything. Still trying to contact them now that I have found my email and my charge card charge. Very unsatisfied - based on seeing what everyone has been through.

People, I am feeling your pain. Just about every complaint I have read is exactly what I have experienced. I will keep this short. The only way we are going to get any results is to hit this company Ebattery in the pocket book. We need to put them under. Here is what I did. I made the purchase through paypal so that is where I started. I searched the PP website for my transaction ID number. I did not find it. I called PP and was told that when you send money it does not give you a Transaction ID number unless you are signed on to your account. Word to the wise, if you are going to sned money sign on. SO if you staring at the PP home page and you click on sned money be sure you are logged in. Nuf said. Because I did not have a transaction ID number I open a "non receipt case". This does not garuntee you will get your money back. What it does is place a hold on ebatteries account for the amount of the refund which PP said would make them more inclined to pay. In addition if PP gets enough of these complaints ebattery says goodbye to there PP account.
I then spent the time and made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I think I spent about 10 min filling out the form online. Not sure what to expect from that. PS that are rated an F company. Shame on me for not checking.
I then hit a home run by contacting my credit card company. This will take no more that ten minutes, 5 if you don't bs with the person on the other end of the phone. Again the credit card company gets enough complaints, there goes that option to pay and it hits them where it counts. What I cant understand is how come this company does not get shut down. Most frustrating doing business with them. Out of the hundreds of online and over the phone transactions I have made I never wanted to punch anyone in the throat before I called ebattery. If you have had any reservations please do not call these people there are other options. Keep googling them.

To reiterate what dchanin said, I have had the same problem as him, they have my battery, since oct 4th. I have a confirmation email to prove it. I though have received NO replys to my many emails and phone calls. Their automated answering service is a joke. I am not Happy with these folks. A paypal dispute has been opened. I am escalating the dispute if my dispute isn't addressed by them. They still have my battery though, and its for a Amrel Rocky RT 686 EX Laptop, and those are rare batteries to find. I wouldn't recommend them.

It has been two months and "Battery Refill" aka eBattery has not returned my battery. They lie to me and tell me the work is done. They have stopped answering their phone. I have repeatedly asked for a refund and for a return of my battery and I get no response. They have done the same to my mother who ordered at the same time.

This company is the absolute worst I have ever tried to buy PC hardware from. Their website said they had a refurbished Panasonic CF50 battery available and they would ship it out and I could return the old one in a supplied return package. I paid them by PayPal but they never sent me any order acknowldgement! I made up the invoice number because they never sent me one! Also, they never answer the phone, call back after voicemails or reply to emails. Two weeks after they had been ignoring my emails and phone calls they called to tell me that they had obtained a battery to send me. I told them it was too late and they should have replied to me earlier. I told them I mno longer needed this battery and wanted a refund. The man kept pestering me asking where I had found one and "how much it cost." I refused to answer the irreleavant questions and reiterated that since they had sent me nothing and not replied to my inquires, I wanted to cancel the order and wanted a full refund. That was 3 weeks ago. When I looged in to my PayPal account, I was flabbergasted to find that they had not issued me the refund. SO i initiated a PayPal dispute and PayPlal is giving them until December 8 to reply to my dispute claiming non-receipt. Don't SEND THEM YOUR MONEY! They are not honest. They should have refunded my money three wekes ago and because they failed to do so I have to wait and see if PayPal will refund my money.

I sent my old power tool battery to be recharged. It took about 2 weeks to get it back and it works excellent. I saved at least $80 by this service. Battery Refill is a good idea. I don’t have to worry about not fitting onto my tool.

I needed a replacement battery for my Gateway tablet. First, I contacted Gateway. They sell battery for my tablet at $145 and it is not even Gateway brand. They only sell batteries from some other company’s website. I don’t understand why Gateway doesn’t sell or manufacture batteries for their own laptop models. I tried search and I found Batteryrefill from Google. Batteryrefill.com price is $89 but I need to return my old core. It was the lowest price I was able to find. So, I ordered a battery. I received a package about a week later. Battery works great. It is better than I expected. If you have Gateway tablet, I highly recommend this company.
