I bought a used Laptop off of eBay, the battery was pretty much dead - gave me maybe 15 minutes when off of AC. BatterRefill.com had very clear instructions on how to identify the right battery, and made ordering very easy - they sent me a label to ship in my old batter as a PDF file I could print right on my printer.

The Battery works extremely well, I've had it for over 6 months now - never a problem, and it *still* gives me more time that the original specification for the battery of this laptop (IBM Thinkpad T20).

The battery was shipped well within their estimated time, the price was better than from any other company that looked reputable, I am fully convinced that I could not have gotten better service from anyone else. I'm extremely satisfied, they delivered exactly what they said they would - a battery better than the original.

I will definitely buy from them again.

I ordered a replacement ThinkPad A20p battery on June 3, 2005. I called to inquire about the status of the order two weeks later and received an email update on June 21, 2005. The battery was shipped June 27, 2005 (24 days later).

The battery worked as advertised and actually worked better than the original battery. Unfortunately my old A20p died a couple of months later. When I inquired whether the store purchases old batteries I never received a reply.

Overall my battery was excellent quality however the store's customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

I don't wish to use this site as I see not point to responding, but will out of frustration. I've recieved a replacement battery for a serviced battery that lasted 3 months and now will not charge fully.( I did follow the given instructions to the letter) This replacement battery came and will not even charge at all.I get no lihgts on this replacement batter even after charging for 2 days. The instructions(to the replacement battery) it came with were completely wrong anyway for my operating ssytem. It seems to me that it should have checked whether the replacement battery would charge or not. Lucky for me I didn't send my original back till I waited to see if the replacement would charge. I felt that at least having a battery that charged only to 50% was better thatn having a battery that didn't at all. I've sent 2 e-mails pretaining to this matter and now all I get is this crap ass please rate site. What I would really like is a battery that works or my money plus shipping back so that I could put it toward a laptop battery that actually works. I was at first impressed with their seemingly nice customer service. The e-mails I've recieved recently have been blank with no instructions or explaination as to what is to be done.
Truth is I'm done with you. I will be filing my own Better Buisness Bureau complaint. I will never recommned this company to ANYONE EVER. Even if I get satisfaction.

Because of my not wanting to operate my laptop without the battery in place (to avoid potential power-line transient damage) they generously consented to send the exchange battery first, and then trusted me to have my friend mail back the depleted unit when he returned to the States. As I have only the laptop, it gave me great peace of mind to know it wouldn't be accidentally damaged during the exchange period.

The refilled battery works extremely well and will add years of useful service to my Panasonic Toughbook.

My impression, after my own RATHER FRUSTRATING AND NEGATIVE experience with BatteryRefill.com, and after reading the numerous complaints on this ratings-page, is that they send out just enough refurbished batteries to make it appear as though they are actually a reputable business. But my feeling is that THEY ARE NOT.

I found this seller online through a web-search, and it seemed to be a good alternative to have 2 worn batteries refurbished for a lesser-used laptop/notebook, rather than buying a new one. WRONG. DON'T DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE.

I paid online for 2 batteries to be refurbished. I received instructions on how and where to ship them, which I did via USPS Priority (with tracking). It took me maybe a week to get them shipped out.

I was actually rather satisfied when an email arrived on Oct 25, informing me that "Your battery has been" shipped. It'd been probably a week since they'd received it. I recieved shipment on Nov 2nd.

But my concerns regarding "YOUR BATTERY" were confirmed when the package arrived -- it contained ONE OF MY BATTERIES, BUT NOT THE OTHER. I'd even supplied the serial numbers for each battery, when I shipped, in order to avoid any confusion for them.

Since then, it's been all downhill. I emailed, several times-- NO REPLY TO EMAIL's. Then, maybe 2-3-4 weeks later, I received rather fancifully-designed email "non-replies" from them, simply stating, "Due to a system e-mail routing error, the following e-mail was not received in a timely manner to our support representatives." IN OTHER WORDS, THEY HAVE A PRE-FABRICATED METHOD OF PRETENDING THAT THEIR ONLINE-SYSTEM IS MESSED-UP, as an excuse for not having replied to your email. FRAUD ALERT! They apparently even update it seasonally, because it closed with, "Happy Holidays from all of us here at BatteryRefill.com!!"

I didn't receive one of these FAKE-ERROR emails for about 6 weeks after my first email to them-- but they sent numerous, at the same time, in reply to each email that I'd sent to them-- but not with a copy of my original email. SAVE ALL OF YOUR CONTACT-EMAIL AND DETAILS in regards to these FRAUDS.

The FAKE-ERROR email also contained their 800-number. I see that some others who have posted on this site have somehow managed to talk to someone HUMAN at BatteryRefill.com. I've had no success-- I hear an automated pretend-greeting, and then about 30 seconds later, I get an apology that NO ONE IS AVAILABLE. I leave a message, I GET NO REPLIES TO THE MESSAGES LEFT ON THEIR ANSWERING-MACHINE.

Federal Consumer Law dictates that a merchant must either 1) ship within 30 days, or 2) give you the option of a refund or to extend your order for another set-period of time. Apparently, BatteryRefill.com does not wish to comply.

In essence, THEY HAVE STOLEN MY PERSONAL PROPERTY by retaining my second battery. They show intent to avoid any contact with or from me. Their track-record on this ratings-page, seems to indicate that BATTERYREFILL.COM IS A LESS-THAN REPUTABLE BUSINESS.

For me, TIME IS MONEY-- and these people at BATTERYREFILL.COM have cost me about 4 hours of wasted energy, time and frustration, so far. I'm now taking action.

I searched http://whois.sc to see who the contact person was for the website, and I emailed them at the shown-email address. Again, NO REPLY.

I emailed this Kyung Choi at the above email-address, several times. Today, I emailed both Kyung Choi and support@batteryrefill.com again, to inform them that I am about to take the following action. I'm sure I will receive a prefabricated "error" apology (with Valentines Day Greeting?!?!) from support@batteryrefill.com within the next 2-4-6 weeks-- AND NO ACTION ON THEIR PART.

My email states:
Within 12 hours of this email, I will have

2) posted yet another negative rating for you on your growing negative-ratings-page at

3) filed a FRAUD complaint with the FBI's internet-fraud taskforce.
4) contacted the California Secretary of State's office for the name and location-address of your business.
Within 24 hours of this email, I will have contacted your Sheriff's office, to file a FRAUD complaint and to ask for the arrest of Kyung Choi and/or the owner(s) of the business, registered with the California Secretary of State's office.
Pending the outcome of the above, I will be petitioning the California Secretary of State's office to REMOVE YOUR BUSINESS LICENSE.

This is our 11783th customer. According to our database, the customer placed an order for two Sony Vaio PCGA-BP1N battery exchanges which cost $42 each on 10/11/2005. The last status on our database is that the battery was shipped on 10/25/2005. The summary of this long posting is that the customer sent us two batteries and he received just one, not two. The customer tried to contact us by e-mail and phone and both didn’t work.

We were really in the middle of the company re-locating process during the end of the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2005. We apologize for all the problems that were caused by this moving process. Pre-paid postage labels can be manually generated online at http://postage.batteryrefill.com. Our automatic phone attendance system gives instructions regarding this matter. We have no idea why this customer received just one battery. If we made a mistake in shipping, there would be no problem sending out another battery to the customer or refunding the missing battery. Please call us during our office hours Monday thru Friday, 9AM to 5PM Pacific Standard Time.

After seeing this company's website, i thought that they looked like an honest and legit company, so I didn't hesitate to send my battery in for replacement cells. After about a week from sending my battery in I got an e-mail notification that they had recieved it. Their site says 1-2 days turnaround time, but in reality it took about two weeks. I sent a couple of e-mails and got the same automated response back on all of them. Finally I called them and asked to cancel my order (due to other reviews I read about the company), but the rep said it was ready to be sent out today and he just needed to clarify my address because it wasn't in their computers. So I decided to give them one more chance. My battery came a few days later, I stuck it in my lappy, and off it went! It works very well and I am happy with the product I recieved, but their speed and customer service was horrible!

This is our 15218th customer. We apologize for the confusion. We state on our website that we have a “Fast turn-out time, usually within 7 days of receiving your battery.” We have never stated that 1-2 days turnaround time anywhere on our website. Seven days of receiving your battery doesn’t include delivery time back and forth. If it took around 2 weeks, it’s around average. It may take a little less or longer depending on delivery time, weekends and holidays, and type of batteries.

I placed an order for a replacement battery (battery swap) for an IBM Thinkpad on Dec 5,2005. I was going to order a Ni-Mh (that is what I have) but was told a Li-Ion would perform much better. I reminded the salesperson that I had a Ni-Mh, (not an even swap) but the salesperson told me it was OK. (Great Deal!) So, when I receive the new battery, I just place my old battery in the same shipping box, affix the included return shipping label and drop it in the mail. Seems simple. I was told that I would have the battery by Xmas (it was a present). I called them on the 22nd looking for a tracking number and was told the battery will not ship until Dec 26. Then I called them on the 27th looking for a tracking number and was told the battery will not ship until Jan 2 2006. Again I called them on Jan 4th looking for a tracking number and was told the battery has not been shipped, and they have no idea when it will ship! I have waited one month. They have my money, and I have nothing. Are they a scam? I don’t think so. Are they a poorly run business? Perhaps. Form your own opinion. I will be contacting my credit card company.

I thought the idea of having my battery refilled to give me better performance than a new battery for less money sounded like a great deal. However what their website doesn't tell you is that the process takes FOREVER and their customer service is horrible.

I placed an order on September 29th, and sent my battery in the same day. It wasn't until October 7th that they sent me an email saying they received it. After having it for 3 weeks, they finally sent it back to me on October 28th. When I received it a few days later, it did not work. It was completely dead and would not charge.

I sent the company several emails which went unanswered. I left a few messages and finally got a call back. I asked how long it would take to get the battery repaired since it took a long time the first time they had it. I was told it should not take very long. I was emailed another pre-paid label and I sent the battery back in. They received it on December 14th, and it's been almost 2 weeks now. I called last week to check the status, and all they would tell me is to call again next week.

I'm sick of waiting, and I would caution anyone thinking of doing business with these people to reconsider.

This is our 11297th customer. The customer ordered a refill service for a Li-ion battery. According to our database, the initial refill service didn’t work so we got the battery back from the customer for warranty service, and unfortunately we were not able to fix the circuit inside the battery pack. We refunded the full purchase, including shipping. Even though we are able to fix the vast majority of the problems on the Li-ion control circuit board inside the battery pack, some problems we are just unable to fix. Obviously, manufacturers will not fully disclose their circuit designs. Once again, we apologize for the problem.

The battery on my Sony Vaio Picturebook was completely dead. I was looking at tossing the unit since a new battery was pretty expensive, when I found batteryrefill.com on the web. I placed the order and mailed in my battery. A week later, I got an email acknowledging the battery was received. A few days later, I got another email that the rebuilt battery was shipped back. A few days later, the battery arrived. It was wrapped in bubble wrap in a thin mailer envelope, but it was fine and more importantly, it worked great. I charged and discharged it five times per their instructions and now it works great. I know a lot of folks say they had trouble with this store, but my experience was great. This solution works better than new at half the cost.

I had the battery for a T20 for about 5 months when the case separated (poor choice of adhesives to re-seal it) and it stopped working. In response to 3 emails, I finally got a phone number. After repeated calls and messages with no response, I finally gave up on these guys. Once the sale is made, they are invisible.

eBattery / BatteryRefill.com appears to be a fraudulent supplier. I purchased replacement laptop batteries in October. My credit card was charged Oct 25th. I received email notice from company Nov 2 saying old batteries were received at plant, but no timetable for shipment of what I had been already charged. Company telephone numbers had been disconnected, then later re-connected. I was told Nov 11th that order would be filled over the weekend. It is now Nov 28 and the company phone go unanswered.

Our office was closed on Vererans Day and during the Thanksgiving holiday. The US post office was closed also. I ordered an HP F4809. They sent a battery that did not fit in my laptop because they had cut open, rebuilt it, and tried to seal it with silicone caulk. The caulk was to bulky and there were unfilled holes in the casing. It would not accept or hold a charge. I called, was promised a refund and that they would email me a shipping label. they never did. Subsequent calls to their 1-800 went unanswered. Their corporate phone is disconnected.

This customer did not post the order number or the invoice number on this comment. Therefore, we cannot locate the exact status of this order.

We open your old battery to replace the old cells with brand new higher-capacity cells and also to be able to run a test on the Li-ion circuit. Some batteries do not require being cut open, but others do depending on the case assembly. Although we try our best to close the case properly, there may be some defect. If there is a problem, we have a warranty with the orders and send replacements using pre-paid postage labels through e-mail. Customers can generate their own pre-paid labels through one of our servers at http://postage.batteryrefill.com. We do admit that there have been a few days of delay due to our company relocating. We have recently moved to a new 10,000 square feet facility. Our local phone number was changed to 909-947-3686, but our toll free number has not been changed. It is still 800-628-0121. After billing me for $80 about 4 weeks ago, I had not heard from the company since: No shipping instructions or pre-paid mailer, no responses to emails or phone calls. Their 909 numbers are bogus too, even the ones they give the credit card companies.

Ordinarily, I won't complain if the company fails to follow through with the transaction, IF they had not billed me, but this is outright theft. For those who have a similar experience to mine, the FTC has these instructions: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/billed.htm

Pity though, since they had a good review from a trusted member of a laptop forum I peruse.
