This is absolutely the worst buy I have every made. Your technical guy was wrong about the size that my speakers were after I told him what crutchfield said it was. I shipped the product back in return for the right size and you people still sent me the old shipment. I will never buy from you guys again. When I saw that you sent me the old product I just said its not even worth re sending again because it took 3 weeks before I got the same speakers re sent back to me. Horrible service and your technical people dont know what they are doing.

I am sending this because I have again made a bad choice in who I deal with. I bought a Pioneer AVIC-F500BT gps unit. I had a few problems with the first Pioneer update but it worked after talking with Pioneer about the problem. Today I received the new maps and firm ware upgrades. This time the unit loaded all the data but failed to operate after the update was complete. Pioneer service said it sounds like a complete processor failure. So I called SonicElectronix where I bought it from. I was told they didn't have a replacement in stock so my unit would have to be sent back to them and they would sent it to Pioneer for repair or replacement. Down side to this is I bought it for a trip and now it will be between 2 to 8 weeks before I get it back. I am retired and buy a lot of electronic equipment in the future I won't be going to this company again.  
 
Unhappy is a under statement

Like you were told, we don't have another unit in stock at the  
moment so we need to send it back to Pioneer for repair and if they have  
a replacement available they might send us that. They are usually quick  
on the turn around time, so it's more like 2 weeks waiting rather than  
6-8 weeks.  
 
Now, if you are not willing to wait for it, then you can get refunded  
for the price of the unit since you are within the 30-days of receiving  
it. You could also exchange it for another product if that would be a  
better option for you.  
 
Please understand that we are not in control of manufacturer's defects,  
such as this; but we are definitely willing to do everything we can to  
make you happy and satisfied with out service. Due to the large volume  
of products we handle on a daily basis, we can't do quality control on  
every item shipped; for that we rely on the manufacturer. Unfortunately,  
in this case the problem was something that would've not been visible to  
us, unless it was tested. Our products are new and sealed in the  
manufacturer's box, so we abide by our promises and guarantees. If that  
product would have any signs of being open you would've conclude that it  
was used or something like that.

Do not use this company. SonicElectronix is a scam. I was sold a Jensen unit that used and not new. After installing the product we noticed scratches and the remote as not working. After inspecting the box carefully a disclaimer on the box stating this is unit was opened and not used for Sonic Electronix to use as a display model for there website. When I purchased this product I was told it was brand new. If a product is opened and tampered with that is considered open box. After contact Sonic Electronix and being told that I would be getting a discount or a free steering wheel control I never got a call back. I was constantly told that a manager would call me and this never happened. I have submitted numerous tickets to there RMA department without any luck. Here is a fair warning when prices are cheap there is a reason why its cheap. Alot of companies out there are selling refurbished or used equipment as new. And http://www.sonicelectronix.com/ is one of them. Because I have already spent over 250.00 installing this unit I am pretty much stuck with a stratched unit and a remote that doesn't work. I suggest you search "sonic electronix scam" and you will see alot of bad reviews about this company. I believe all the good reviews were written by the staff at Sonix Electronix. If you end up having a problem with this company they will never return your call. Save yourself the headache and buy from a reputable dealer! THIS COMPANY IS WORTHLESS!!!

I purchased an Eclipse AVN52D, iPod Cable and Bluetooth device. The order arrived on time, I had it professionally installed and found that the bluetooth module was defective. Requested an RMA, sent the module back (at my expense) and they shipped another module (but in the same box as my original). I paid for the re-installation but the second unit did not work. Then the iPod unit failed. AT this point I've spent $400 for installs and uninstalls. I asked to be refunded my full purchase price and they refused. Customer service reps are unqualified, rude and will not work with you after the sale - you may save some cost up front but you will pay for it later. Please do yourself a favor and buy locally. This company is a ripoff. I'm out over a thousand dollars and still have my factory system.

I ordered a part from them and it was defective. I decided I did not want to use a product that was prone to being defective so I asked for a refund. They charged me a 20% restocking fee. I understand charging restocking fees or returns, but not when the item is defective from the get go. I won't be doing business with them again and I suggest neither do you.

Very dissatisfied and disappointed! Your web site said WE SHIP TO CANADA and the shipping calculator showed a 19.95 charge which I thought was expensive but I nevertheless accepted to buy from you. When UPS delivered the package, there was an additional 57.92 charge for custom brokerage which was totally unexpected! Note that for a 14.95 cable, the total fees were close to $100! I thought the 19.95 shipping charges would cover ALL shipping fees. I would have never bought a 14.95 cable if I would have known that it would ultimately cost me $100. Again, I am very dissapointed and pissed off as I feel I have been ripped off!

* UPS Canada: 7-12 business days, average + 24-48 hours processing time  
o Brokerage fees, duties and any other applicable taxes or import charges are the sole responsibility of the customer and are based on rates provided by your country and the shipping courier. Sonic Electronix cannot control or quote you on these taxes, fees or charges. Please contact your local government for more details.  
 
On the other side, USPS WILL SHIP TO THE SAME LOCATION WITH A SMALL OR HIGHER RATE (DEPENDING ON THE ITEM) AND WILL NOT CHARGE SUCH FEES LIKE UPS.  
With this said, customers from Canada opt to use alternate methods to reduce fees from customs.

I paid $30.26 to have my order shipped 2nd day air but it did not arrive for over a week. I was promised a shipping refund on the phone but after three emails and a paypal complaint, I still can't get my money refunded. I understand mistakes happen, but something like this should be quick and simple to fix. I will never do business with this company again.

Who the heck knows... you guys sent me the wrong wiring harness. After an hour or so putting it together and wow... wrong harness. I'm sure the product is good but you guys need to rehire your "electronic experts" or "packaging" department.

If the incorrect harness was sent, we can resent the right one free of charge. Customer must contact our warranty/returns department for instructions

I cannot recommend Sonic Electronix in any way. The email asked me to wait for them to make any errors right before I left negative feedback. I made them aware that they charged me for UPS 3 day shipping but received standard 5 day ground UPS the day after I ordered and it shipped. That was 21 March, 2008. They overcharged me $26.22, yet they have failed to return my phone calls, emails, or support tickets for this. I WANT MY DAMN MONEY!!!!!! Additionally, I ordered a new Kenwood model DNX5120, I asked the sales associate to add the required XM cable and tuner that will work with it. He told me which to order. Upon receipt it is the wrong cable as the new Kenwood cable is not even on the market yet (they are the so called experts huh?). I had already opened the cable to try to install when I found out it would not fit. Upon calling and waiting 45 minutes I asked what I could do? They said return the XM tuner but I would pay a 15% re-stocking fee and would not receive a refund on opened merchandise. Now I am steamed as THEY, THE SONIC "EXPERT" sold me what I thought were the right components but were not, so why do I have to pay 15% for THEIR ERROR???? Plus possibly not getting a refund for the XM adapter cable that THEY said was the right one. But I would not find this out without opening it. I have now returned the items and received a standard email to allow them a week before asking any questions. A week? I know of bigger companies than them that grant refunds on returns the day they receive merchandise back.  
 
My overall opinion is Sonic Electronix is just like those mail order camera stores in New York that once they have your money you play hell trying to get any service out of them. I just hope I have no warranty issues as I expect no help at all. I would not buy from these people, I would look elsewhere. Sonic Electronix President Nathaniel J. Victor, it is your company, you asked me to write this review, correct what is properly owed to me and I will say you fixed it. Otherwise I stand by these words.

bought 2- headrest screens and a dvd player, after installing everything i found out one of the screens is bad. they want me to drive around for a couple weeks with a big hole in my headrest while i have to pay to ship this screen back and wait for another. bad service.i refuse to be embarassed and have more money out of my pocket because they sent me a dead screen.

They got my order wrong 2 times in a roll. and it took almost a month for me to get my order. I will never buy anything from them again. I just how they can get it wrong so mant times. I am so fed up with sonic electoinx.

very disappointed in return policy i thought the site stated 30 day return with possible 15% restocking fee but after waiting 10 days of the automated rma request not working i called and was informed that they would only give store credit  
so instead of going else where and not saving the $80 i am now out the $300 so unless you know exactly what your getting i would buy else where

I placed my order on 2/15. On 2/19 I called to get details on when my order was to be shipped and person on phone told me that it shipped that day and should receive on Thursday(2/20) or Friday(2/21). I did not receive my order until Monday the 25th. After opening the box, I noticed that there was no mounting plate and the wiring harness was different. I called and asked where was the mounting plate and was told that I would receive it on Tuesday the 26th. On the 26th I received another wiring harness but no mounting plate. Upon trying to see if this subwoofer worked I hooked it according to instructions and found that it did not work. This unit is a plug and play sub. I have another car with same sub in and decided to trouble shoot and found that my sub worked. The sub received was either defective or damaged (packaging left to much room for shifting). I decided to do an RMA and get another but was told that I need to send this back on my dime. I DID NOT LIKE THAT but I did it anyway so I could get my new product ASAP. In speaking with the warranty people, I asked "couldn't you send another to while this is transit back to you" (seemed like the best customer service thing to do)but was told they could not and that I would have to wait for you guys to receive and then it would take another 1-3 days to be processed then another unit would be sent. So the way I see it is that it is going to take another 10 days!! THAT SUCKS! NOT HAPPY WITH SONIC! Follow through is not good. Audix needs help keep get sent warranty dept. I think more could have been done to make and keep a customer.

Service was great getting the product. The product did not work as expected. touchscreen controls do not always operate the correct command when pushed. From the main menu when switching from CD to Radio would not work with a cd playing. I could stop the cd and remove it then press the radio button & get to the radio, Very frustrating! When I did get to the radio menu I would select a station but it would play the station on an adjacent button. Often when I press a command it executes a different command.  
Not happy with the unit and have already requested return. When it does work correctly, which it does not do very often, it is a functional player.

As a canadian, I would never order from this compnay again. Toll free number is nt accessible from canada. Brokerage fees (which they only tell you about in small print) make the costs of small items ridiculously expensive. No option to ship via postal service. Very poor response to concerns (it took 5 days to respond after a generated e-mail stated 24 hours). Return policy sucks and isn't explained well. Response was cold and unsatisfactory. +++++ poor customer service.
