I order a Sony HVR HD1000 USA kit form these guy. I look at several of there packages they where advertising on line. I decided to order the package that they had avertised that best suited my needs. I called place my order and get more information about the camera before I placed my order. I was assisted by sells person Bernardo ( which turned out to be the worlds greatest liar) He ran down the list of everything that came in my package as list online and I agree. He upsold me on what was suppose to be a better lens. (which also was a lie). Once I recieved my package it was 7 item short of what was sold to me on the phone and listed on the web. When I called to see what happened Bernardo was nowhere to be found. They put you on hold forever, spin you around from person to person and everyone has a lost of memory. I talked form Stan, to Vinnie to Rich and they all think it is a game. I paid over $2400 for this package and I've been shorted over $800 worth of Items they did not send to me. After hours of back and forth on the phone I decide, hey I decided to just send the mess back. Now they want to charge me a 15% restocking fee plus shipping. Which comes to over $300. It is almost three weeks later and I still have not gotten the rest of my items. These people are theives and crooks. DO NOT DEAL BUY FROM THEM

DON'T BUY FROM THEM!!! Simple as that. I should have read the reviews for bestpricecameras.com before I ordered. Granted they haven't charged me for my order or sold my info (as far as I know). They called a few days after I placed my order online and tried to upsell a battery charger and other things that were unnecessary and unwanted for my order. I declined. After a month of not getting the camera I ordered I called to see why. "It's currently out of stock." was all they could tell me. So after another month of waiting I'm sick of it and going to cancel my order with bestpricecameras.com and order from someone else that has better reviews, doesn't upsell anything, and will deliver product ordered!

If something seems too good to be true......

Same experience as others - all bad - ordered a Panasonic Projector - when I made my mandatory call I was put on hold forever to then be asked "what kind of battery I wanted"? When I asked the obvious I was told - "oh did I say battery, I meant what kind of bulb do I want (as the projector didn't come w/ a bulb)". When I changed my mind and wanted to cancel I was put on hold and (shockingly) cut off.

Long and short, 10 calls/emails later and one canceled credit card, my order was canceled. Before my card was canceled, several fraudulent charges appeared. Now I can't say for sure where those charges came from but.......

Stay Away!!

Whatever you do don't make a purchase from BestPriceCameras.com!!! I only found ResellerRatings.com after I got in trouble with Best Price. I found their website while searching for the best price on a Canon Powershot digital camera. It was only $28 lower than the next best price but $28 is $28. I placed the order and then the next day I received a phone call from a fast talking rep (Ken) that was well into his speech about how they were a wholesaler and so the only way they could sell the camera for the listed price was if I added a different battery and charger for $89. I asked him if that meant that the camera wasn't complete at the advertised price and he said it wasn't. I immediately told him that their website didn't say anything about that, so after a little belligerent back and forth on his part he told me that my order was cancelled. I told him that I thought that the Better Business Bureau would like to hear about this sort of business dealing and after a long pause he said that he would go ahead and send me the camera and that it would include everything needed to work. Well, I was pretty proud of myself until I went back to the website to make sure that I wasn't mistaken about their business status or what was included with the camera and thats when I found ResellarRatings.com. I couldn't believe all of the negative reviews or that the New York Better Business bureau wasn't doing anything about this business. I immediately cancelled my credit card and fortunately there hadn't been any charges applied to my card. I'm going to try to lodge a complaint with the Better Business Bureau anyway but I wish there was something else that could be done about this company.

Best Price Cameras, bestpricecameras.com
I just placed an order with them over the phone. I found them doing a search and they were listed under one of those shopping web sites that compares prices. Turns out the shopping site is owned by them also and it's a scam to get you to buy from them - they had a 5 star rating. ShoppingCartUSA.com is the scam site where I found Best Price Cameras. Beware of both. I ordered a lens, they asked for CC first so now it's too late, tried to sell me a "mount" for the lens to my camera, something that does not exist! Then they only asked for the first part of my shipping address, no city or state - I had to remind him. After all the I was very nervous and did some research and found this site. SO WHAT I DID.... I tried to call back to cancel the order, but even so they still had my CC and address. SO, I called my CC company and canceled my CC before they could place the charge and put a fraud hold on the company name with my CC company. End of story, I now have piece of mind back!!!!!

I want to thank all of you for sharing your experiences. I did place an order for an Olympus E-510 kit w/2 lens. I did get the email as follows:

Dear Customer,

DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL NO ONE WILL RECEIVIE IT - THIS IS A SYSTEM GERNERATED EMAIL.

We are attempting to contact you regarding your order. Please call us at 1-800-281-1823 or 1-718-998-2975 and speak to Jason at Ext.256 in regards to your order.

I called and spoke with "Jason" who tried to sell me all sorts of extras... I just told him I'd have to get back to them and to just ship what I ordered.

The voice on the other end abruptly ended the call with "enjoy your new camera".

I then found this site, researched this a bit more and called my credit card company to cancel the card I used to place the order. No charges had been placed from "bestpricecamera", they were able simply re-issue me a new card without canceling my credit account with them.

I also emailed best price camera and told them to cancel the order.

Thanks again.

BEST PRICE CAMERAS.

BEFORE YOU BUY, CALL THE 800 NUMBER and listen to the voice over and how they pride themselves with customer service, also, please note all the scam icons referring to their "trusted seller rating" Give me a %$@#!? break. Unfortunately, the NY and NJ Better Business Bureau are as bad as these guys. There have been thousands of complaints and the BBB simply turns their heads. As you can see by the hundreds of comments below, and more importantly, this company's ratings over the last 6 months, along with their lifetime rating, this organization is nothing but garbage, like the people who work there. Best Price Camera, along with many of the companies out of Jersey and NY with the name camera or photo in them, are nothing but scum, thieves and scam artists, (artist is used figuratively here) If you plan to proceed to place an order, my first suggestion to you is "USE YOUR AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD." AMEX won't put up with these ripoffs if they fail to provide you with a product. If your fortunate enough to receive your item, you may find your bill much higher than you agreed to to, Let AMEX know and you will not be charged for what you did not agree to. Secondly, some of us have begun to turn the tables on these guys. With a little bit of time on our hands, we have been calling them acting like we want to place phone orders, asking all kinds of questions on different products, after about 20 minutes of questions and pissing these guys off, we let them know how pathetic they really are. It totally catches them off guard and I love to hear the silence from these guys. What's most interesting is they are so caught off guard that they forget to hang up on you like they usually do with there other customers. Their pride won't let them hang up. Give it a try, give these guys a run for their money!

I thought just on the off chance I might be able to get a Sony A350 for their advertised $499. I even warned them in the comments that I did not need any additional accessories. They still called and claimed the box contained a bare camera with no included accessories. There is no such thing, and if I had agreed to that deal, they would have taken everything else out of the box just to spite me!

Incredibly rude and not helpful. Tried to pressure me into buying more accessories, and when I said that I wanted to do some more research and call them back, they said that I had to make a decision NOW! I told him that I had read reviews of how they try to pressure people into buying extra things and that I was just trying to make sure I got what I wanted. Then he said, "Well, I am just going to cancel your order and you can buy the camera from somewhere else." Then he hung up on me.

Stay away from this company. Any savings you might get just aren't worth being treated like crap.

I am VERY VERY mad at this company. It was a complete waste of time. I called the customer service 4 times, and was hung up on 3 times, and when I did get through to a "representative" they were ridiculously RUDE, and when I asked them a question they simply replied they did "not have time for this garbage" and hung up. I ultimately canceled my order, because I found out that somehow my Canon EOS rebel XTI was out of stock for 6 weeks, and the fact it didn't come with a battery. Its ridiculous if they didn't have it in stock and I was paying for overnight delivery, and I never got a notification. STAY AWAY from this company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a joke. I tried to order a "New" "Factory Fresh" Cannon hf10. Got a call today telling me it didn't come with a battery, etc... All the things a factory fresh camera comes with. FRAUD plain and simple. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! I have canceled my order I suggest you all do the same and shut this scam site down.

SCAM-ola!!! I like many others, attempted to purchase a Canon XTI at the unbelievable price of $319. Got a confirmation then an email the next day that "it's out of stock for 6 weeks" and that my "order was cancelled." I went to their site and yep, there was the camera, NO MENTION OF IT BEING OUT OF STOCK. THESE GUYS JUST LIKE TO COLLECT YOUR NAME AND CREDIT CARD INFO. WATCH YOUR CREDIT CARD FOR UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES. THIS IS A SCAM OUTFIT...IF IT'S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS!!!!!!!

I ordered a Cannon Rebel XTI (body only) online from BestPriceCameras.com for $319.00 including shipping and taxes. The same day I received a phone call from them attempting to sell me accessories of which I declined. I was told it would be within two weeks for delivery. I called today (March 7, 2008) to inquire about when my camera was sent to me. I was told it was on back order. I received no notice of a backorder but he insisted he sent me an email. He then asked why I didn't purchase the american version of this camera. I told him I was not aware there was a Japanese & American version. He explained the American version has all the accessories with it and the Japanese version does not. I reaffirmed my position that I only need a camera body. Clearly I was not going to get it and he had been using bait & switch tactics from the start.

I ordered yesterday a digital HDD Sony camcorder from BestPriceCameras.com, which had a very good advertised price for the Sony HDR-SR11 High Definition Handycam Camcorder with 60GB Hard Disk.

The price advertised was 699.99. I purchased the additional "bronze package" which brought the total to $789.00. I was contacted today by the dealer, indicating that I needed several additional accessories, such as a battery charger (not an upgrade, but the basic charger) and a few other gadgets such as filters and lenses, which would bring the total up to over one thousand dollars. If I did not buy, I would not be able to use the camera. As I declined the additional expense, they said they were going to cancel my order, which I said it was fine. I just wanted you to know that these guys are not serious business people, and they give buying on the web a bad name.

Thank you,

Bait & Switch. I ordered a Sony DCR-VX2100 MiniDV Digital Handycam Camcorder for $1,099. Jason (the "sales rep") told me that this was the basic model, which didn't include battery, charger, or firmware! Immediate bells go off. I don't like being led to believe (by vague or misleading websites) that you are purchasing something that you can use right out of the box. However, when he said the firmware was not included with this model, to me, that means the "operating software" that any microchip driven device musst have in order to be functionial. And when asked that question, Jason confirmed such was the case. I've bought a lot of camcorders, since I teach media tech, and use them myself... but I had no idea that any reputable vendor would sell such an item without the "operating software". Jason said he could fix that for me if I wanted to include all those things... for only $2,800. What a SCAM! needless to say, I'll never do business with Best Price Cameras, a.k.a., Photo Dynasty, or whatever they call themselves, and I intend to make it my personal business from now on to widely broadcast my dissatisfaction with this group of bait & switch scam artists.
