Terrible service! First issue was they emailed me with a tracking number that took me to the Fedex website and the item that I did finally recieve was shipped by a private company. Next problem was the rear bumper shows up by itself no front bumper, I waited a few days and still no front bumper. When I called the company they said that the bumper should be there any day now... two days later I recieve an email telling me that the front bumper was not in stock and they would offer me a refund after they had already told me that it was on its way and when I ordered the part it was listed as in stock. I will never deal with this company again terrible terrible service.

This is an update on my review written on 1/21/2010. After posting my review on 1/21/2010 a manager called me, told me that my canceled order would not be shipped and my account would be credited.  
I found that there was still a charge on my credit card of $276.79 even though I canceled my order on 1/21/2010, when I reviewed my account on 2/9/2010. When I called on 2/9/2010 I was told it would take a week to process a credit. When no credit appeared on my account by 2/16/2010, I called again and was told that the customer service person had arranged with a manager to credit my account immediately. There was no credit noted on my account on 2/17/2010. I called again, the customer service person didn't note that any refund had been processed, but told me he would contact accounting immediately and accounting would send me an email documenting my refund. As with my attempt at ordering an auto part, I've gotten 3 different responses from 3 different customer service representatives. In this case, each promising me a refund, unaware of earlier refund promises, and describing a different refund procedure. I'll update this review if a do get my refund.

terrible experience with this company! never received item, tried to file a lost claim and process a return and STILL don't have anything resolved 7 weeks later. I have called customer service about 10 times in total. Even though their prices are low, I'm not re-ordering from them ever again! A company who doesn't know how to treat their customers and provide actual service does not deserve my business.  
 
Beware if you aren't 100% sure of an item, as you'll probably face the same people!!

Placed an order for floor mats, which were meant to be a Christmas gift. I immediately received an email confirming the order and it stated I'd my order was processing and I had not been billed yet. It also said I'd get a second email when my payment was accepted or declined and it could take 48 hours to receive a tracking number. I was billed the next day but never got the email or a tracking number. Called after a week, they said they had to get the order from a 3rd warehouse and they'd email me the status.  
 
The next week, after hearing nothing and receiving nothing I called back and cancelled the order. Would not recommend using Car Parts Wholesale unless you have a couple months to spare and don't mind being billed for something they don't even have in inventory!!

I would describe my experience with this retailer as rather negative for the following reasons.  
 
1. Online customer service did not do an effective job at understanding and responding to my questions.  
2. After I placed an order I attempted to contact the same aforementioned customer service using the online option. Only after about 15 minutes of conversation did it become evident that they would not be able to cancel/modify the order.  
 
In this day and age not being able to modify/edit/update an order once its submitted -- using the same online tools that you used to create the order itself is, from my perspective, lacking in very basic/essential functionality. I have not been to any website that does this, other than this one.  
 
3. Mysterious "handling" charges that are not in any way explained or rationalized. Most retailers, if they have handling expenses, figure out a way to price those costs into the cost of the item itself. This way when you get to the end of the transaction there isn't any "sticker shock." Again, your company deviates from this norm for reasons that aren't made evident to the user.  
 
4. The items I ordered ended up not being available and the entire order itself was canceled. This is particularly puzzling considering that the website showed the part as being "in stock" and available. Even more puzzling is the fact that after my order is canceled, I came back to the website a few days later and your ordering system still shows it available. This means one of two things: either your site developers have no concept of how to manage a retail database -- or that the item did, sometime after my order was canceled, become available.  
 
Neither explanation is acceptable.

THIS ORDER TOOK 5 DAYS TO SHIP,5DAYS TO DELIVERWAS CHARGED 11.00 HANDLING CHARGE PLUS SHIPPING,TO PUT INA BOX WITH A LITTLE PAPER ,CHROME WAS BENT,BUT DON'T HAVE A MONTH TOWAIT ON ANOTHER.POOR PACKING AND HIGH HANDLING CHARGES WOULD NOT RECOMEND!!!

worst sevice in industry. they say parts are in invintory and create a tracking # but no parts are shipped out. when called about part they said they have to have part rebuild before sending it out which could take two weeks

I was lied to and told what I wanted to hear just so I would place an order. When the order never arrived, I called to find out what was going on. They had lost my information (everything but the credit card number). They wanted to re-place my order and told me it would take up to a month to receive it.

STAY AWAY if you want to receive your product. They ignored the correct "Bill to" and "Ship to" information that I entered in the online form that they require, and instead dug an old address out of my paypal account and shipped the product there, without informing me of the change or taking me to the paypal site for confirmation. I live in South Carolina. My radiator went to iowa. I paid $44 to have it forwarded. THE WORST. THEY SUCK. It was ludicrous.  
 
That said, after the fact they bent over backwards to help me. Apologized up and down, reimbursed me the $44, offered a discount on a replacement part. That was admirable. I guess the point is, if you want to take a chance and you are patient, they are conscientious enough to really want to take care of you and to make it up to you after the fact if they screw up. It makes them worth taking a chance with, but not if you need assurance it will be done right the first time.

I have contacted customer service before I placed an order from them for a bumper and I have asked them 3 times if the bumper is OEM and NOT an aftermarket part. They told me that is is OEM repeatedly so I went ahead and made my purchased. Needless to say, when I received my part, it was not OEM. Shipping was decent but they should train their employee to be more knowledgeable.

July 30,2009 I was asked to write a review for my order. As today I still have not recieved my item, payment processed over a week ago. contacted company by email on three seperate occasions and was told that when infomation becomes avalible they will let me know. In the meantime they have my money and i have an email with someone word that information regarding my order will be sent when they know. If my part s not her by the end of the month I am going to challenge the charge with my bank and shop some where else.

I placed an order on a blower motor resistor 3 and half weeks ago and still have not received it. They did charge my CC right away.  
 
I called them 4 days ago and they keep on telling me the order is in progress yet can not provide an estimated ship date. Basically they either have no clue of the availability or they know they dont' have it yet but won't let me cancel the order. I requested the order to be cancelled and the lady over the phone assured me I will see my refund in 3 to 4 days.  
 
They sent me an email today saying the order is "in progress" and can not be cancelled. I called again and they gave me the same run around, basically they have no clue if the item is in stock. I was told they can not give me a firm refund date because they are not sure if the item has been shipped or is already on the way out.  
 
Basically, they don't know if they have the part, they don't know when or if I will ever get the part, they refuse to give me a refund.  
 
I will dispute this with my CC company and never ever do business with them again!

I ordered a part they claim to have in stock and promised a tracking number withing 48 hrs of purchase so I could monitor progress in shipping. I called costomer service after the 3rd day and was told to allow another 24 hrs for the order to be processed. To date is has been a week since I placed my order and I still have not gotten the product I ordered much less a tracking number. The last time I used them my shipment came in about a week. I have emailed the sales and customer service department and asked that someone contact me regarding this order and I have still not heard anything back. I have requested a refund and will not recommend this company to anyone if this matter is not resolved. There are too many other people out there looking for new customers both online and in my local area. But all I can say about my most recent purchase is that I am very disappointed in Carparts!

Shipping was fast. Chat on line with representative was the worst. I ended up getting something else besides what I have ordered.  
Tried chat again to complain , I was told send it back, they could not go an extra mile to try to help.  
Sent an email complaining , as of yet no response. It has been two days.
