I ordered a Canon Elura 100 and did not recieve it until after almost 20 days. It was meant to be for the birth of my newborn child and it never arrived.
Poor poor poor customer service. I was hung up on multiple times and given a tremendous run around, as well as promised rebates which never actually materialized.

Always, I check the resellerrating here because I had ever taken terrible experience fishing bait online store.
electrodiscounts.com is HORRIBLE with good rating score.
I had to check other dissatisfied user's comment.
I wonder how this company get this score. Very interesting... This company looks like traditional fishing and bait company. I called to electrodiscounts.com and he asked me other accessaries more than 1 hour. Finally, I didn't want to buy any other accessaries because, this is for my company and my boss don't want it. Suddenly he hang up the phone. What a rude.
You guy have no chance to buy your merchandise from this horrible store. They closed the door.

charged my amex never shipped tv would not confirm shipping no or follow up with an invoice promised the item was in stock

My wife was about to give birth any day. I needed a video camera asap, and ElectroDiscounts had the best price. I called to confirm it was in stock and would ship the next day (I chose next day shipping cause I needed it quick). The order was cancelled the next day (I was notified via email; no phone call), so I didn't realize it until I checked my email the next day. I had to call to find out why. They said it was not in stock and would not be replenished (i.e. they discontinued carrying the item). I wasted 3 days with them. I'm not happy! So, I ordered it from another retailer I used in the past and had no trouble. Be careful ordering from ElectroDiscounts if you need an item to arrive without delay or hassles. This was my first experience with them, and it will be my last. Your children only get born once, and I can't believe I might miss getting it on tape because of ElectroDiscounts' hollow promises.

Lets see, I ordered a canon A520 from electrodiscounts.com thinking it would be a good deal. They are cheaper than any site out there, but there is a catch. They send u an email saying " Contact us and 1 800 blah blah for additional information",
I think they raise the prices on there memory sticks, cases, waranties, and batteries to make their money, and prices for those products were unbeliviable prices ( $99 for two batteries and a charger).
So i called them and the Guy I'm supposed to talk to wasn't even working that day. I ordered my camera on Feb 2nd and its now Feb 6th, four days without sending me a confermation number nor delivering my product.
I'm more than likely happy to cancel my credit card, and buy the camera from a local store, and spend 30 bucks more than deal with this untolorable business. This review was modified by its author, cpgrren, on

I do not recommend this store to anyone else. I did buy from this store in order to save $20 of a thousand dollar digital camera (dsc-r1). I should have bought it from other online store. The customer rep calls back and wants to sell memory and extended warranty by lying. Customer rep, Ken G, has told me that Sony does not sell extended warranty if product is not purchased from their online store which is not true. Moreover, he then changes his story and says, since electro discount is NOT an authorized dealer, Sony will not take if I try to purchase extended warranty which is NOT true. I have numerously asked Keven G not to badger me because I have purchased the memory from some other place (it's the high speed series 80Mbp/s which electrodiscounts do not even carry) and have explained that I will purchase the warranty directly from Sony. Now he threatens that the product will not be able to be delievered on Friday (had phone conversation on Friday) and I have purchased with 2 day UPS air. I purchased on Wednesday, and they took three business days to process of a package that's 2 day shipping air. He tells me that the product will be shipped on Monday. Today's Wednesday and now UPS has made an exception because ELECTRODISCOUNT did not put my apt number and I have to go and pick up.
takes almost 10 days to receive UPS 2nd day air and being told lies and lies and more lies and threats. I do not recommend this online store if you are trying to save few dollars over other competitors. Business comes from trust and I'm surprised that a store with this type of customer service still exists.

Absolutely horrible! I feel as if I have been cheated and ignored. I will never do business with them again, and would highly recommend no one else take the chance of dealing with such an inconsiderate and unreliable business.

I ordered a 42" phillip plasma TV. A sale rep called and tried to sell the warranty coverage. I decided not to buy it. He kept pushing it by saying the product is not under manufacturing warranty since they are not an authorized dealer. This scared me out of the deal. Too much headache with this store.
Stay away from them eventhough they're a little bit cheaper.

THIS ONE OF THE WORST STORES I EVER DEALT WITH!
THEIR staff Roy L.(ext. 228) told me that the camera i have ordered was in stock and will get to me in 5-7 days. It has been two weeks now, November 30th. i ordered it on November 15th. I still have not received my order. I called their customer service number (899.300.0615), put me on hold for a very long time, and they told me that the camera have not been shipped out yet due to the fact that they do not have it in stock. Well, Roy L. appearantly told me that they did and charged me for that order. Now, they said that they have not received the item from Sony. Sure... i did not receive any email regarding that they were out of stock or anything. I was left in the dark pondering when will my package arrive.
This store is one of the worst ever! and i think its a fraudulant company also. First off, when you call them, they will say that their company is some other company listed on the site, second, you will have to call them back to confirm your order, and they will bride you for about 15 minutes to add on uneccessary items, EVENTHOUGH you told them a million times that you dont want it. a famous line they kept saying was "you know what (YOUR NAME) i feel really sorry for you that you are not getting THIS and THAT, so i'll tell you what..." i'll add this on and that on and this on and all for 300 dollars.. blah blah blah.

Bait and Switch!! I ordered online. Placed item in my shopping cart. Shipping was added. I confirmed order and placed on credit card. Order accepted. They sent me confirmatory e-mail with the sale and the price. The following day I receive an e-mail asking me to call. I am told that the price "went up a bit" and the new price was $1000.00 more than the price on the site!
WHAT A CROCK! WORST COMPANY EVER!

Electrodiscounts.com (a.k.a. Marine Park Camera and Video) is a fraudulent company, and should not be dealt with. BUYER BEWARE, do your research on this company. Check the New York Better Business Bureau (this company is based in Brooklyn), there have been dozens of complaints filed against this company under their Marine Park name. I purchased a camera from electrodiscounts.com, then canceled my order as I became uncomfortable with their business practices (e.g. no invoice Emailed, delays in shipping). They sent the order anyway, and denied that I had canceled my order. I bounced the camera back to them when it arrived. More than ten calls to the company, three trips to the police station, and two trips to my bank, were required to get a refund. And, this refund was NOT issued by electrodiscounts, but the bank reimbursed me via their fraud insurance.

Product was listed as in stock, I placed order, credit card billed, merchant cancelled order due to unavailable item, given the run-around for a week trying to get my credit card refunded. Credit card credited 8 days later. I will never do business again with Electro Discounts!

Why do we go online for shopping? For me, 1) to get a lower price, and 2) to avoid the pretend-to-be-an-expert sales representative at the store. This store completely failed me for the second reason. I ordered my camera on 9/3 and they have not shipped my camera until today, 9/8. The reason? To confirm my address according to them over the phone. They sent me an email to call them for 'additional information needed to process my order.' And the person over the phone started to explain all accessories and warranty plans that I 'should' have. C'mon. I have used this camera for over a year (borrowed from my work) and know this one pretty well. And this person treated me like a 5-year-old who never had experience with any camera. I will now see how fast my order will arrive. If you have to buy from this store, make sure that you call them first and ask them not to delay for any marketing purposes.

So far I am not impressed despite the positive reviews for this company. I placed an order with them four days ago for an item that they claim is in stock. I received an e-mail saying that they needed to speak with me before they could process the order. When I called, I got the pressure sales pitch to purchase accessories and an extended warranty (they had all of my correct information which they acknowledged so the only reason for the call was the sales pitch). I broke down and bought the warranty thinking that it would speed the process along. No such luck. Now several days after the call I find out that my item still has not shipped despite the fact that Scott L. told me it would ship that same day and would arrive in 3-5 days. The person I spoke with this morning said that when it does ship (supposedly today--but I have heard that before), it will take 7-10 days. They still say it is in stock. Maybe they are getting too much business because of the positive reviews and can't keep up with the orders. Whatever the reason, I am not happy so far with the delivery speed and customer service (or lack thereof).
I called again today to check on my order since it was supposed to ship on Friday and I did not receive an e-mail saying it shipped. I was told the item was not in stock, but should arrive in a couple of days. I cancelled the order because in the week that I waited for them to ship my item, the price on the item went down at more reputable dealers, so I am purchasing the item elsewhere. Sold goods they did not have in stock. They used misleading techniques to have me call them, under the asumption there was a problem with the order. The only point of the call was to give them a chance to up-sell more goods. They have made mistakes (in their favor) in billing my credit card (multiple times) and now are not acting in a timely manner to issue the credit. This review was modified by its author, alanvee, on
