Joseph called to tell me there was a glitch in my order time due to malfunction in their credit card processing. NOT TO WORRY! Joseph agreed to send everything overnight (all right--so while I was ordering, the camera sold out and I had to wait for 2nd day delivery--and even helped me order some other "necessaries" to complement my initial camera purchase. He threw in some goodies to make it worth my while and was VERY patient (as a former New Yorker myself I know how difficult that can be sometimes!) I have been shopping around for price on a Canon EOS 1D Mark II on the net. Before I place an order with anyone, I check here first, then I call them just to see if I can get through quickly and easily. This is how I came across Priceritephoto.com. I hadn't ever ordered anything with them before, so I was a little nervous on such a high ticket item. These items tend to be imported and grey market without US warranties. I was super pleased with the way I was treated. Being from California, I sometimes feel pressured by New York shops, but not this time. I was helped by a gentleman by the name of Joseph. Although he tried to sell what all these shops sell (non-OEM battery, warranty, etc...) Once I informed him of my preferences, he was great. He understood me wanting to have all OEM accessories, and even matched the price of the non_OEM stuff. I was completely impressed. I don't think I've ever had that before. I would definitely do business with them again, and recommend them to my friends.

Bought a Canon Digital Rebel Camera Body. Excellent price, and prompt response to all my questions. Talked to Harvey in customer service. and am very satisfied with my order.

PriceRitePhoto.com had the best price on the Internet for the black canon digital rebel xt lens kit that I bought from them.  
 
I had to deal with customer service because my shipping address was different then my billing address. I was surprised that they use personal customer service. In my case a guy named Joseph was responsible for making sure my order was sent out. They sent me a 1-888 number and his extension in an email. He was very helpful and offered a permanent solution to the shipping/billing address problem. I had to call my credit card company and have them add an alternate shipping address.  
 
I have just place my order so I do not know about their shipping.  
 
If this review is not revised you can assume it arrived on time and everything correct. Also if there is a problem at least I will know who to call.  
 
I would definably buy from PriceRitePhoto.com again as well as encourage others.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! AVOID this company! I've been working w/ them for 2 months trying to get my simple order completed and shipped (although they processed my payment immediately). VERY POOR customer service. They give empty promises WHEN they answer the phone (which is very rare). TERRIBLE SERVICE/empty promises/JUNK packages. Camera ok, but accessories are low quality JUNK and they don't even work w/ the camera they were sold with. Extra accessories and extended warranty overpriced. Watch for "free shipping" scam always offered on their website; I got charged $29.99 for shipping! It's businesses like this that make buying over the NET risky and very disappointing! I was patient for 2 months before finally submitting this review...next step is filing a dispute with my credit card.

Don't use this website....Price Rite lied about the rebates available, shipped camera and equipment late, then there was a backordered product, never told was backordered until I called...this too was shipped late. Customer Service is horrible....they never answer the phone!!! Noone calls you back when they say they will. They do not respond to e-mails or faxes. Buying camera equipment from Price Rite Photo cost us $390 in lost rebates and much lost time on the phone!

It was a good experience shopping with you guys. Very good rate for my product. Am very happy with it. If at all anything I would have liked to have my product shipped a bit sooner. It got delayed by 3 days!!! Still a very good deal. I would recommend to shop here for the reasonable rate and ease of purchase.

When I first called this company, "J" answered and seemed very helpful when I was interested in buying a kit. He even told me that he could ship a Canon XL2 out to me that day for next day receipt and that there were 3 cameras left in their Brooklyn warehouse. When I called back later that day to order just the video camera without the kit, he changed his tune. He tried to bully me into buying an 8-hr battery, stating that the one included with the camera was a 20-min. battery. I said I didn't care and could buy the battery elsewhere if needed. He said, "What, you don't believe that we have the lowest prices? How much is this camera retailing for? How much are we selling it for? If you're going to buy a battery, we would expect that you would buy it from us." I said I didn't know where he got that expectation and in fact hadn't researched whether their price on the battery was the lowest. I also gave an example of the Canon 3x wide angle lens which they were selling for $1599 and B&H was selling for $1179. I told him that the fact he was pressuring me like this made me extremely suspicious. He seemed to put the phone on mute for about 20 seconds while I tried to figure out whether we had been disconnected. I was about to change my mind about the purchase entirely when he came back on the line and gave me an order confirmation number and said I would get the camera in 2 days by FedEx and that it was being shipped directly from Canon (instead of their warehouse in Brooklyn). He said I would get an email with the tracking details, which I never received. I tried to call their customer service number and was told that this department was closed even though it was clearly within the operating hours they describe on the message. When I called a different extension, the person told me that "the system was being updated" and to call back in half an hour. Eventually, I reached someone at a sales extension who told me that they had no record of my order. When I posted negative reviews, a supervisor called and tried offer me a $100 gift certificate to change my review. When I refused, he said he was recording the conversation (which is illegal in NY without the other party's consent), charging my credit card and adding a 15% fee. Stay away!

When you walk into a store looking to buy a certain product, in this case it's a camera, how many times have you asked a person for help and all he/she does is just read the description card next to the item; and when you ask them a serious question they say things like "I'm not so sure about that", or "If you go to their website" ... they simply are just no help at all. They don't know what they are talking about! With Price Rite Photo, this is not the case. Joseph, the salesperson, courteously took my order and kindly suggested items that I might need without being aggressive at all. He explained to me why I needed certain accessories (in plain English) which made complete and total sense since I'm just a person who doesn't know much about cameras but looking to buy a good quality one that will last me for years. Perhaps the most important aspect with this company is that the products they sell are the least expensive than all the other stores that I've shopped. I would highly recommend Price Rite Photo to anyone looking to buy a camera and camera accessories because, in summary, the prices are low AND the quality of their service is high.  

I am very happy with Price Rite Photo. Customer service is very friendly, knowledgeable and very personable and was able to clearly answer all the questions I had in helping me decide on my purchases. They went above and beyond when they contacted FedEx and gave specific instructions at my request. Joseph & Kenny were great. :) Thank you both!
