Beware!! Do not fall for all good reviews that they have for their products on their website.

I bought laminate from them last year and it bubbled after 1 year. I called them but no recourse was offered and instead I was told this may be due to installation issues. So now I am sitting on 1000 Sq ft of floor which I will need to pull out and install again (something new)

Do not fall for their online reviews. They do not post negative reviews on their website. Reviews more than 3 or 4 stars are only shown. Has it occurred to anyone that there are 1000's of reviews on their website but very few 1/2/3 stars - only 4 or 5 stars. This is impossible when dealing with even the best floors out there.

Do your homework before you buy at LL and do not let their online reviews affect your buying decisions as they are only 1 sided.....

Bought 1300 sq feet of Quick Lock Bamboo flooring. After installing it within 2 weeks it buckled. Contacted Lumber Liquidators and they said "to bad" it is your problem. A search of the internet shows this is SOP for Lumber Liquidators. My advice is to avoid this company like the plague. Poor quality products and no warranty at all.

We purchased $8000 worth of 3/8" tongue and groove Bellawood Brazilan Koa from Lumber Liquidators in Albuquerque NM. This is a solid wood plank, not laminate. Professional installation was glue down over grade level cement and the installer was a known individual with over 15 years experience with Bruce hardwood flooring and we had personally seen and utilized his past work - it was excellent, so installer was not the problem. This wood was often warped, milled horribly with uneven sides, rough edges and boards cut the wrong way. After installing the master bedroom we seriously considered returning the whole lot, but decided it couldn't all be this way. Well, it was and the whole house is covered in a wood floor that would be a disaster if it were anything but the streaked colors of the Koa. Because it was a glue-down install, it was impossible to pull the boards together tightly as one could do with a nail-down job. Apparently quality control at Bella is nonexistent. We will not purchase Bella wood for our next home and not sure we would go to Lumber Liq. again. Also the installer would not recommend Bella wood because of poor milling.

I went into the L.L. on Beltway 8 and W. Little York to buy 10' of oak transition strip. The piece was brought out and I asked the salesman "is this 10' because I need exactly 10'" he said yes but with a quizical look on his face. While I was being rung up the Lady asked me how long the transition strip was and I said it's 10' but could you please measure it because it needs to be at least 10'. She went back to measure it and came back and said 10'. I get home and it's 9'8" that's not 10'. I called them and asked if they would ship the correct size which I would pay for the extra feet if need be but I didn't think I should pay delivery. They said customer pays delivery even on their mistake. Not good business.

I purchased a Builders Pride Brazilian Cherry floor from them 2 years ago, I was very happy with the product and laid the floor myself.

Recently I returned to the store (in NJ)to purchase 4 Brazilian Cherry floor registers which they did not have in stock. I paid them cash for them and was told they would be delivered in 7 to 10 days. After two weeks I called back and they still weren't in. I then waited another two weeks (they were supposed to call me back) and they still were out of stock.
I then called yesterday and no luck, I asked about a refund since I didnt want to wait any longer. I told the cromagnon there on the phone I paid cash and he said no problem. I then drove 40 miles to the store figuring I would run to Lowes or Home Depot on the way back grabbing what I needed to replace the vents.
I arrive at the store and the same caveman I spoke took about 40 minutes to enter the refund into the computer. I was then told I would get a check for a refund. I explained to him that I paid cash for the grilles and he told me he didnt have the cash nor could he give me cash back and then handed me a piece of paper saying I would get a check in 1-28 days.. It was 4 o'clock in the afternoon, surely someone spent 100 bucks cash in the 9 hours that the store was open.
I called the headquarters to complain about the service but it fell upon deaf ears. The service stinks and their policies are deceptive. I was never told that I could only be refunded by a check, nor did it say that on my receipt. There were no signs in the store and there was never any attempt to substitute another item for my trouble. This moron made me drive 80 miles for a piece of paper that could have been mailed to me with my check. Stay away from this company, d yourself a favor, if they would rook me out of 106 bucks, imagine if it were a whole floor.

Never again Lumber Liquidators, I will go elsewhere.

I purchased 325sq ft of laminate at a good price from LL. I opted for the cheaper laminate because I had a feeling this company that sells odd lots would not back their full warranty. I am happy with the floor but had 15sq ft of bad planks. Not to bad so I did not complain. I would like to mention however that the sales guy tried to sell me expensive under-layment that I did not need as I am well aware of what to use. He then went as far as to say you will void your warranty if it is not used. I told him I am not buying something that is not needed for my application. I ended up using 15lb felt. (worked great.)

So after I laid the floor I gave it a few days and went to the LL website and wrote a honest review of the product. Guess what? It has been 10 days now and the review has not shown up. They are screening the reviews and only letting the best ones be shown on the website. I wrote a honest review 3 out of 5 stars and did not expect it to be banned.

If this has happened to me I would expect it is happening on a large scale. What are they hiding anyways? I would not put one cent of belief in the reviews for their products as they are positive only, while the honest opinions are being banned…. .

I am also another victim of Lumber Liquidators. I purchased on March 4, 2008 the 12MM Embassy Mahogany Laminate flooring St. James collections. I was sold on laminate because of the 30 year warranty and the incredible durability with regular wear and tear. We installed the floor according to their specs and followed the instructions to a Tee. My friend is an experience crafstman and has intalled around a dozen of these floors. We are now 9 months into it and the floor is beginning to show bubbling in several places in the living room. Nothing unusual has happened to the floor other than normal use. I called the customer service to put a complain in. They said somebody would call me back within 2 days. It took 3 before I heard from somebody. I then spoke to the person and gave her the details and said that it woul take 7-10 business days before I would hear something from the claims department. After 11 days I put a phone call in and left a message with no return call. I put another call in the following day as well aa an upset email and they finally emailed me back a resolution saying that the issue is non warrantable.
They never send anybody to my house to look at the floor. They based their decision in some pictures that I sent them that poorly showed the problem, because of the lighting issue. They basically left me hanging and they never told the details as to how they arrived to their decision. The just issued a blanket statement claiming inproper maintenance and or installation, without any details. I just cannot believe that a floor with a 30 year warranty would fail within one year, without any unusual circunstances and they are doing nothing about, but they claim they stand behind their products.
Do Not let them sell you on the warranty as they will find a way to screw you. And YES their customer service is about as bad as I have ever experienced.

on 8-23-08 I purchased 325 square feet of wood. a little over a month later when the installer came to my home he informed me that I was short one box. I actually only had 300 square feet of wood. I called the store and left a message. by the end of the day I still had not received a return call. I called again and explained the problem. I was told it was over 30 days and I picked my order up and they did not sell that product any more but they would find something comparable. I received a call back stating that I was welcome to purchase the replacement box. I immediately went to the store and spoke with an assisstant manager. he stated nothing could be done. I asked that they review the cameras in the loading areas so they could see that I was shorted one box. I was told there were no cameras and all their inventory was on point. the only solution they could offer was for me to purchase another box and they would split the cost. I assured the assistant manager that I had no reason to lie as I live an hour away and did not take pleasure in making the trip. I also stated taht I'm sure the loader did not intentionally leave the box off. now I'm out of $90. stay away from this company they are not honest

The product was ok, but the customer support was horrible. We ran out of wood near the end, so I ordered two more boxes. They came delivered all broken so I contacted customer care. They took my info and said they would call back in two to three days, which they did. They took more information and said they would call back in two to three days, which they didn't. A week went by and I left multiple messages. After two weeks and over 30 phone calls they finally shipped two replacement boxes. I have yet to see what shape they will be in.

It seems that almost no one in their customer care can actually help you. Also, I guess the product we bought was a one time deal and so they barely had enough wood to send us two more boxes. It turns out, they sell a lot of product that is limited in supply and if they run out you are out of luck- Oh and they don't tell you this on their sight.

One last thing on their web site reviews- I posted an honest review without extremely harsh criticism, but they didn't post it on their site. It didn't even affect the average customer rating. So don't trust the reviews on LL's site as being accurate.

If there is any chance that your product will come damaged or you will run out, DON'T RISK IT. Buy somewhere else.

I was going to compose a scathing letter to LL about insulting and ignoring us but after reading all the web sites and blogs I could find, I see they have ignored, insulted and abandoned most everyone who has any problem with their products. That said, I will point out: I am a woodworker. I got a letter & packet from LL explaining how nail down and glue down floors buckle. Our floor is FLOATING. Installed exactly per written and verbal guidance from LL. Upon close inspection (LL wouldn’t know about that process) we found several boards cracked and split. I am sure the LL technical staff will find a way to explain how those splits and cracks are my fault. Know that the wood (Jatoba or Brazillian Cherry) will darken (2 or 3 X darker than the box). I will spend the next 25 or 30 years doing my best telling folks to avoid LL,Inc. Unfortunately, I did not read the negative emails, blogs and/or customer comments already posted on several sites. I will add mine to the mix frequently. When you walk out of any Lumber Liquidators Store, make sure you have exactly what you need ‘cause there ain’t no customer service or care from that point on. Buyer beware

Bought Supreme Bamboo Horiz. Carbonized with 15 yr finish warranty. The finish has worn off in 8 months. Sought the help of customer care to settle a claim. It literally took 3 months for them to resolve the issue and finally send a letter denying the claim. Lumber Liquidators was the worst customer experience I have ever had - and the ONLY online vendor that has prompting me to submit this type of e-review.

Bottom line, buy a nicer wood from another vendor if you want long lasting beauty and quality. Their price was great, but now I have a worn scratched, dented floor that will have to be removed and replaced much earlier than I'd ever imagined.

I purchased the Bellawood 3/8 by 3 select Brazilian Koa. I could not be more than happy with the product. I had this professionally installed so I cannot speak to the ease of installation. I can say that the product had very little waste. During the install process some of the boards tended to scratch easily. I kept a close eye during the install process so that I could be sure that those boards did not remain on the floor. The floor would have cost much more if I purchased this same floor at one of the major home supply stores. With Lumber Liquidators I was able to get the floor I wanted and still remain in budget my project. For others reading these reviews to figure out if you should buy from Lumber Liquidators or not, go for it. I am posting this review because I read so many negative reviews when contemplating my purchse as well. I wanted to let others know about a great experience. If I had to do it again, I would go back and purchase the same product again.

This is not a store for the average person to be buying from. They have incredible prices on the lower grade wood. If you are capable of installing yourself, and have the skill to do some fill work, I highly recommend it. You need to know what you want, and the customer service is non-existent, but their prices do make up for it.

If you are using an installer, I would recommend getting your wood from where they recommend. I am the son of a flooring installer, and many simply lack the skillset to deal with less than perfect planks. I'm not saying they are bad at their trade, simply that they deal in a different niche of it than lumber liquidators should be used for.

We just bought and installed the rustic red oak, and it is beautiful. I like wood that has some knots and character to it, so your mileage might vary.

This company is worse than a used car company. Bait and switch is their specialty. We placed an order and then they called and said that was not available, but we could buy something more expensive. The website that says current stock numbers is not really their stock numbers. Avoid at all costs!!!

Lumber Liquidators, unfortunately, has been a BAD experience. I do NOT recommend purchasing wood flooring from this company. READ other negative reviews carefully to save yourself the pain of a bad experience.

I have to admit that I did read negative reviews before choosing to do business with Lumber Liquidators, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I ordered Brazilian Cherry Wood flooring in good faith.

Lumber Liquidators claims that shipments are packed with "random" sized flooring. Herein lies the problem. Lumber Liquidators is deceptive on this point, a kind of bait and switch. The MAJORITY of my shipment was composed of small pieces of 9 inches to 31 inches in length of planks! My contractor was unable to use most of the flooring as a result. Again, in good faith, I complained to the Lumber Liquidators store and bought another 7 cartons to compensate for the first bad shipment. Again, this new shipment arrived with mostly shorts, like 9 inch pieces! The store was unhelpful and Lumber Liquidators officially declined my complaint for any resolution.

Buyer BEWARE--read the reviews from unhappy customers before you think of doing business with Lumber Liquidators! Sometimes it is wise to believe what you read.
