ON 12-31-2004 I CONTACTED ACCESSORIESLAND BY INTERNET AND BOUGHT A CAMERA UNDER ORDER VARIFICATION NUMBER [ ACCESSORIESLAND -5306 ] I USED MY VISA CARD IN THE AMOUNT OF $251.45.  
ALL WENT WELL AFTER THE TRANSACTION , UNTIL I RECIEVED A PHONE CALL FROM A REPRESENTIVE OF ACCESSORIESLAND WHO left me a message to call him. I called on Mon. 1/3/05 and he tried to sell me accessories and when I said I was not interested he immediately hung up. Later I called to see why I had not received a confirming email and he told me it would be 72 hours-even though they were to ship the camera in the first 24 hours. I called back to see when they were going to ship the camera and the customer rep hung up on me. I than got worried that I was being scammed and on line to check out this company-even though I had done some checking before I orded the camera-and found many other people had the same problem. Please check this company.

My wife with good intentions ordered a Nikon 8700 for x-mas for me. She is not camera savy but knew what I wanted. After ordering, she was contacted also and talked into a "package" deal. She made the order. Original offered price of camera: $489.99. Package contents: Two Merkury accessory lenses (market cost ?), 3 piece Merkury filter kit (market cost ?), Merkury camera bag (market cost $10), 256 MB compact flash card (market cost $25), spare battery (market cost ?).  
TOTAL package cost $1,150. You do the math.  
 
After talking to Bob Silver (he says he is the owner), (after a week of trying to talk to Eric Anderson, store manager), I was told there would be a 20% restocking fee ($230) and I would have to return the complete package intact.  
 
I offered that I might dispute the charges and Bob threatened (as he rasied his voice) that I would get sent to collections.  
 
Finally, I knew what the scam of these companies was, having read the reviews while doing my research. (I didn't expect that my wife would get mme the camera seeing as I have two other film type Nikon's, a Kodak digital and a Mamiya 2x2.)  
 
The moral of the story is read the reviews. Don't be taken in by the scam artists. When you click on the "buy" icon on the order page for the item you want at the barest advertised price and it doesn't work, you know something is wrong. They are tring to lead you to buy something you don't want. It is your basic bait and switch.  
 
I like the camera but the lenses, filters and bag (worth about $100) can just as well go in the trash.

I have issues as to the integrity of this company. Each time I have called customer service I'm asked for my acc't number, I state I don't have one and each time I have failed to receive one, I then give my zip code and they reference my name, reply is all is approved and will be shipped. I ordered a cannon A95 Digital Camera, extended warranty and speed delivery 3 days. From all indications from dissatisfied customer reviews, I'm falling in the same trap late delivery if delivered at all, phone calls to buy other merchandise, delivery will not be in 3 days more like 8 weeks,reports of merchandise box is pre- opened, missing accessories and I wonder if the product was received from manufacturer, an Asian warehouse or this is a fencing operation of stolen good. Most review advise to contact the AG New York, I hope you will research my complaint before you purchase.

Do not order from them. After placing my order for the Canon SD200 they called me.  
 
The guy tried to get me to buy a battery. I declined, but he kept trying. Finally he says "ok, your camera will ship in 8 weeks, BYE" and hands up.  
 
What the heck? 8 weeks? I had paid for much faster delivery then that. Now i cannot get ahold of them to cancel my order.  
 
Whish i had read the postings here first.

"Hello". This was how Customer Service answered their phones...I was adviced: "Your order is cancelled. How's that, my friend? Please don't call back anymore O.K., Can?!".  
Prior to this call, I made four attempts to find out the status of my order (Canon A750), but I was told to call back another day and got hung up twice.  
I am very glad that my order was cancelled due to 'out of stock'. I'd rather pay $20 more at Circut City than doing business with AccessoriesLand.

I ordered a Canon PowerShot S500 Digital Elph from this store online via credit card & was told to call the store for a confirmation in prevention of fraud. Upon calling I was told it's about to ship and that I would love my new camera.  
The next day I received a message they wont be sending it and I should go to B&H. I called to complain and they said they would not do a thing for me and hung up. When I called right back to speak to a manager or owner they slammed the phone down on me again. Do not patronize this store, you are only hurting yourself!

Supplier named Bob called my home within 30 minutes after my purchase on the internet and complemented me on the product choice. However, he insisted that I buy additional memory for the digetal camera. When I chose not to, he said he will put the camera in the box and ship it out immediately. I never received the camera. When I called to inquire the order, Bob answered the phone and was very rude to me when I told him what camera I had ordered. He said they are out of stock and hung up. I repeatedly called back to lodge a complaint, but every person that answered the phone hung up. They would not let me talk to any supervisor or alow me to explain the problem I was having.

The customer service for this store deserves a 0 rating. Customer reps was so rude, they don't seem to want to talk to the customers and hung up on me twice. With this kind of customer service attitude, I'm sure the store will be closed down soon.

By 12/15 the camera had not been deliveried. When I called Customer Service (8:15PM EST) the person answering said CS is closed call back in the morning and hung up.  
 
Delivery is terrible and they are equally as rude.  
 
I would never consider a purchase from them again.

I received the order on the 22 Dec 04 (18) days after I made the order, the day before Xmas eve. Accessoriesland AKA Starlight Camera. When I received the order I did not receive all I ordered but was charged for it. Missing was a 32Mg. Card, as advertized, and the Larger battery. I was screamed and yelled at and the person JAMES hung up the phone (4) times on me. It was getting close to Xmas so I attempted to cancel ther order,which was to be received in 5 bussiness days. James began Yelling at me and said NO. You can send it back when you get it at your cost + 10%. Accessoriesland order was missing the 128Mg card which I paid for. Inv.#621665. James CLAIMED the order was shipped when I attempted to cancel the order but was not shipped. It doesn't take UPS 18 Days to deliver a package. I was charged $23.14 for shipping and UPS stated the cost should be $11.56 which I paid ,with $400.00 insurance, when I sent the camera back. This is a good scam order a camera from Starlight Camera they hold so you think your not getting it and cancel the order and the order the camera from Accessiriesland and then find out there the same company.

i purchased a camera from ACCESSORIESLAND.COM a couple days ago, and i am not sure what everyone is so mad about. The camera works just great and they sent it to me in an already opened box, no pesky paper cuts or use of razor blades. Also i would just like to say that "james" is my friend and he is going through a though time in his life and this swearing is just a result of his gf breaking up with him. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ACCESSORIESLAND.COM YOU GUYS ROCK

I ordered a digital camera and memory card on-line. About an hour later, I received a "confirmation" phone call, which was actually a sales solicitation to buy a more expensive memory card. When I refused the offer, I was transferred to a second person who also tried to hard-sell me; then he said he was calling to cancel my order, because the camera was unavailable! This is so obviously a scam -- I will be reporting this incident to the Better Business Bureau and anyone else I can think of! Beware -- this does not sound like a legitimate company!

I ordered the Olympus C-60 today for $246.68. I waited for a conformation order, since I gave them my email address. It never came, so I called the 1-866-712-536 and I got a knucklehead named “James”. I asked for a conformation e-mail and tracing number. He ignored the question then asked me if I ordered any accessories. I said no and I did not want any. He started to get very angry called me stupid and ignorant. Then he hung up on me. I called them again and when I began asking the same questions, they hung up on me. Therefore, I started looking for their store ratings. That is how I found this very helpful website. As soon as I read all the different companies Accessories land covers and their reviews, I called my credit card company and canceled my card. I keep on getting their call telling me to call them back and guess who it is that is right mysterious idiot “James”. I think everyone there has a generic name. Cancel your card it you have already bought from them. Go to dell or some company that you can trust.

After placing an order online on 12/6/2004, I received a phone call from a man named James asking me to confirm my order. On 12/7/2004, I called James back at the number he provided (one not found on the website) and he asked for my credit card account number, even though I had provided it via the website. When I balked, he then asked what I ordered, even though this information was also provided over the website. His lack of knowledge about my order raised my suspicions, so I did not provide my account number. At this point he became combative, told me to shop somewhere else, cancelled my order and hung up on me. Thinking James was trying to scam me and maybe not an AccessoriesLand representative, I called a different phone number found on the website. This number led me to a different storefront name, but the same combative individual. Before I could inquire about AccessoriesLand’s strange telephone confirmation policy, he shouted me down and hung up on me.  
 
These people are very suspicious and evidently running a scam, and I am worried they have my credit card information. I wish I had read the other users’ reviews prior to dealing with these crooks!  
 
I contacted the New York AG to complain about AccessoriesLand, which lists the following address on its website:

ALL WENT WELL AFTER THE TRANSACTION , UNTIL I RECIEVED A PHONE CALL FROM A REPRESENTIVE OF ACCESSORIESLAND WHO STATED THAT HE WAS JUST CALLING ME TO VERIFY MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER . AFTER I ANSWERED SEVERAL PERSONAL QUESTIONS THE REPRESENTIVE STARTED TO SELL ME BATTERIES AND A CHARGER FOR $75.00 WHEN I TOLD HIM NO HE DROPPED THE PRICE TO 50.00 I STILL TOLD HIM "I JUST WANT THE CAMERA ". THE SALES MAN KEPT PRESSURING ME TO SAY THAT I WOULD ALLOW ADDITIONAL CHARGES ON MY VISA CARD ON A RECORDED LINE . THE SALES PITCH WAS FAST AND STRONG , BUT I REFUSED TO GIVE IN .  
AT THAT POINT THE REPRESENTIVE ASKED MY " WHY I WAS WASTING HIS TIME AND CALLED ME STUPID , I WAS SHOCKED I SAID " DID YOU JUST CALL ME STUPID? " HE STATED "YES , AND YOU KNOW WHAT IM CANCELING YOUR ORDER , HOW YOU LIKE THAT."  
I HUNG THE PHONE UP , BUT NOW IM WORRIED THAT THIS COMPANY HAS ME CREDIT CARD NUMBER .  
 
I USED THE WEB TO SHOP BECOUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS SAFE AND CONVENIENT,THIS COMPANY HAS A GOOD LOOKING WEB SIGHT,WHO WOULD HAVE KNOWN .
