Ordered a universal remote from Woot.com. Two weeks later, no sign of the item has been seen. It took two weeks to get a tracking number from the company. Once I tracked it, it was stated the item had been attempted to be delivered on a weekend and a notice was left. Two days later the item was undeliverable. Customer service is next to worthless. All they said was keep tracking and call your local post office. I'd rather pay more upfront at a physical location than have to jump through hoops to find out if I will be getting my purchase delivered.

In a word. Don't. If you use Google Shopping you can usually find the same goods for the same price or slightly more and you'll get customer service.
I'm all for the new businesses and the up and comer but a company that won't even respond via email within 10 business days is not worth your business.
I purchased a refurb camera and it died in my hands. I sent them an email, per their snarky FAQ (which I do enjoy) and they never even bothered to respond. I've worked for many a company. I can understand its tough but if you're willing to not even respond to your customers you don't deserve a profit margin.
I sent a further request to cancel my account. And they appear to have, but no further feedback. Just a silent good riddance. They are not worth the purchase at any price and have not care or concern for their customers. No thanks!

I've ordered a number of things from Woot! Electronics, Shirts, Booze, etc....
I've also done all of this quite aware that when I do such an order once I get it I'm pretty much on my own. If you look at their site, you'll see that they actually say as much. It's not hard to find in their FAQ.
I like that they really do say (once you dig through the fluff in the description (often amusing fluff) what is bad and what is good about a product. I also like that in the user forums they'll call your attention to negative reviews of a product.
I'm confident that this is an honest, competent (though sometimes overwhelmed) site that is what they say the are.

I ordered the "little Bunny Foo Foo" shirt from Woot, and to my surprise it was shipped only 5 days later, despite what I had read about their slow shipping. It was only $10 including shipping, so being in transit for 9 days did not particularly bother me. The shirt is, to my surprise, made in the USA. It is quite comfortable and pretty good quality.

Woot is a great site to visit, but I'd think twice before buying anything from them. Their shipping is dog slow (I still haven't received my order that I ordered two weeks ago!), and many of the items that they sell are unreliable refurbished garbage. There is a reason why their stuff is so cheap!
At least the podcasts are funny, anyway!

I've ordered 6 things from woot including a Microsoft Zune 30 ($105), Altec Lansing speaker system for Zune ($45), kodak all-in-one printer ($65), and sandisk e250 ($35). Everything came in stellar working order. Woot has the best deals (with the exception of Buy.com that tends to mirror woot deals sometimes), awful customer service, and reliable; sometimes super slow shipping. With patience, you can get amazing deals from woot. The Zune and sandisk I got were refurbs and you couldn't tell they weren't completely new. Acceptable when everything goes smoothly.
Z-E-R-O service when there is a problem. Tried e-mailing the customer service e-mail address with my problem (didn't receive the item) 3 times with at least one week in between e-mails. No response. Customer service phone number was a voice recording directing you to the e-mail address. Ended up having to file a claim through paypal and Woot STILL has not responded.

I have ordered sevral items with woot and never had a problem. However my last order of three booster packs for my ipod arrived with one missing. I emailed woot asking them to please send the missing pack or if that was not possible if they could please refund my account. They responded quickly that the missing pack would be sent immediately and they were sorry for the inconvience. It arrive faster than my original order. I am very happy with how everything was handled. Thank you Woot Customer service.

Terrible service. Failed to ship my order twice and then failed to notify me of this failure. Ignored my e-mails and then blamed both errors on me, when all I did was simply wait for the appropriate business days to pass before I was forced to e-mail them and find out they lost my order. Will never shop from again.

Not a good experience in any way. The price for the product seemed good, and shipping reasonable at $5.
However, it took 3 weeks for the package to arrive. Customer support (by email only) did little more than thank me for my patience and refer me to the SmartPost tracking site (which is worse than useless).
Eventually somebody emailed me saying they would refund the shipping, but I have yet to see any refund on my credit card account.

I've been graced by the gods of woot, they have brought so much good crap to my life. Some of it I need, some not. I can count on three things from Woot, 1.) awesome prices 2.) hilarious product descriptions and 3.) Epic slow shipping. Who cares, woot has kept me out of overpriced stores like Best Buy for my impulse buys.

I had purchased items from woot on and off for several years, and had been happy up until the moment I got a defective product (Sansa Mp3 player) and needed customer service. They would not even reply to my email. I contacted them originally on 2/25 and they assigned case # W-74385-WEOK. Two subsequent emails were also given case numbers but never replied to.
I will never use Woot again.

They improperly packaged a very expensive order, FedEx mishandled it, and now I'm out a month without needed merchandise and money. They want me to return the items at my own expense, wait for them to arrive and be processed, then wait up to 10 more business days before I get a refund. Entire transaction is below.

Hi guys and gals of woot, I have a question. See my post here:
http://www.woot.com/Forums/ViewPost.aspx?PostID=1984714
This is per woot order number xxxxxxx. Is this normal for this batch of
drives? Were they all sent like that? Was my package adulterated by
FedEx? I've wooted 32 times, and only had this issue one other time, where
the WD 250GB drives of 2006 were shipped in a similar manner.
I am really worried about these drives, and really not looking forward to
testing them. Even if I test them, I worry about the stability of the data
I put on them. The drives were clanging around in the box look for a couple
thousand miles.
What do you think I should do? Invest the time in testing the drives? Ask
to RMA them untested? I'm in a pickle... but I know you guys will take care
of it.
Thanks,
-RogerX

Sorry for the condition of your order. Looking at the box, it looks to

We have processed a new order to be sent out to you. A call tag will be

Please allow a few days for the order to be shipped, as this process usually
takes about 5-7 business days. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience
this may have caused.
Thanks for Wooting!

We no longer have any of those drives, and thus your replacement order wasn't filled. You can, however return them for a refund.
Sorry to hear that you are needing to return your item. Your RMA number is xxxxx. Please make sure the RMA number is on the shipping label or written on the box. Please be advised, per terms of our website, that you will be responsible for the costs associated with return shipping. I would suggest using a shipping service that uses a tracking number. We are currently out of that item, so we will be issuing a refund back to you once we receive the product. Turnaround time for refunds are 7-10 business days from the receipt of the defective product.
Please ship to:
Woot.com
4121 International Pkwy.
Carrollton, TX 75007
Thanks for Wooting!

So ok, now the story has gone from "we're sending you replacement
drives" 12 days ago, with no further communication, to "we don't have
any, ship the drives that 1) woot didn't package well and 2) FedEx
clearly abused back... at your own expense?"
Yeah, not cool. Not cool, folks.
I'm shipping the drives back, and if I don't hear from you promptly
about a refund, I guess I'll have to contest the charges with my
credit card company.
Thanks so very much for a month of headaches and inconvenience. It
makes my 31 prior happy woots seem kind of hollow.
