Woot has a great variety of quality products at good prices. I check their website first thing every morning while eating my breakfast. Some of their items are such good deals, they may be sold out by lunch time.

Five business days to ship and another 10 days for the product to arrive. This isn't a fluke, it's normal. This is unacceptable considering the deals are not that great and other companies like newegg ship the same day and arrive within a few days.

I absolutely love Woot! I check the site daily to see what sort of product they have, sometimes even checking at 1:00 am EST when the new deal goes up for the day.
The descriptions of the products are usually hilarious, even the pictures of the item can be funny as well. Kudos to Woot for hiring such entertaining writers.
I've bought everything from a Dyson vacuum to SD cards. No matter how big/heavy/little an item is, you'll pay $5 for shipping. They utilize Fedex SmartPost which can be slow since it's handled by USPS. The great deals more than make up for that in my opinion.
Also check out Shirt Woot, they sell a t-shirt of the day (usually with customer designed art) for $10 and free shipping (again with Smartpost).
Woot-off's happen occasionally as well (look for the two flashing yellow lights), maybe once a month or so. They usually have small quantities of products that they cycle through to sell during the day, and once it's gone... it's gone. You usually have to jump on it if you want something, things can easily sell out in under a minute. On the flip side, it can sometimes take hours to sell through a product.
Woot once oversold an XM Radio I had ordered, and canceled my order. It wasn't something I really needed of course (more of a impulse buy than anything), but it was a minor annoyance. To make up for it they did email me a $5 coupon, which I think rectified the situation just fine.
All in all I really love the business model of Woot, I always make sure I know exactly what the specs of a product are before I buy, if it will work with my system, and I know my sizing in American Apparel for their t-shirts. Woot will absolutely continue to get my business! This review was modified by its author, bellina, on

Great concept, like 1saleaday, but better. They have a funny website, great deals. Many brand name items, like i-pods and zunes. Wonderful customer service, fast shipping, good prices. I don't think I can say more. Would definitely order again.

I LOVE WOOT!!!
I have researched just about every item they place on the site and find they are always between 1/4-1/2 the price ANYWHERE on the internet.
Their return policy is good and they package everything well. It takes a little longer than I would like to get it to the shipper. Shipping can sometimes be a bit bit slow but hey, it is ONLY $5 for everything. Higher priced items are usually shipped FedEx and come a lot quicker than Smart Post items. I have always been notified when it is shipped along with the tracking info.
I am still working getting the all illusive BOC but remain hopeful.
Bottom line, YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH WOOT!
Now all we need to do is get more products targeting women instead of men. :-D

I think this response to my inquiry about returning a wrong size and purchasing another is enough of a review:
Unfortunately, we don't allow for exchanges or refunds on shirts ordered in the wrong size. The reason for this is because a sizing chart is offered on the order page. Sorry.

1 Kingston 16GB USB 2.0 Data Traveler Thumbdrive for $28.99. It took almost a month for the item to show up. During that time, the Woot! folks could not come up with the order status.

Fun site to check every day for deals and the side deals. Seems like woot is getting more commercial, but I still like 'em

Paid $3 and got a broken dvd/vcr combo in a bag of crap. I got other things that made up for it and I love them still, but this makes me worry about every bag of crap now. lol

I am very pleased with the Lexmark X9350 wireless all in one duplex printer. I have very rarely been disappointed in any of their products, and when I am, they immediately replace the item with one that does work.

Woot is a pioneer in the one-deal-a-day concept and it can be quite addictive, and damaging to your wallet, especially during woot-offs.
If you need or want whatever they're offering on a given day, the price will (normally) be at least competitive, if not great.
Their user community can give you some additional (and useful) insight into the day's deal before you commit to buying.
Only gripe with them so far is that it can take them a week to get an order out the door.

Even when there are no mistakes, woot is terribly slow in shipping out merchandise. I have ordered 3 items and the quickest I ever received a purchase was 16 days. That is unacceptable. Recently they provided Fedex with the wrong zip code twice (two different wrong zip codes!!!). Now, 3 weeks later my purchase is in Texas and I'm in Alabama. Fedex provided me with the documentation proving that woot was at fault. Guess what, woot says "we didn't do it". So now I have to hope that it actually gets returned to woot at which point, sometime in 2009, they will send it to me. They refuse to cancel and refund.
Do not do business with these con-artists. The customer service is rude, incompetent, and ineffective.

UPDATE: I started a RMA process with WOOT, and they have yet to refund my account. I sent the item back (to my expense), and either they are not accepting the package or USPS tracking system is incorrect. From my experience dealing with WOOT up to now, I suspect that there is something not quite right with their processes. And their customer service is VERY poor! I am out approximately $80, and have absolutely nothing to show for it. I will NEVER order from them again. I will recommend everyone else to stay away from WOOT, unless they like drama and hassles.
I ordered an item from Woot. They state that my order would ship within 5 days. After waiting 10 days and no shipping confirmation, I emailed Woot asking them to just credit my account and not ship the item. I would just purchase the item elsewhere if they could not ship it. They sent me an email a few hours later basically stating that they just shipped my item. So...what...you have to remind them that you placed an order and are waiting for it to arrive before they ship it to you? First thing...I asked for them to credit the money and not ship. Which they did not honor. And, they didn't even attempt an explanation or apology. Not very professional. And a little sneaky, if you ask me. This review was modified by its author, monsterjta, on

I have not had a problem with woot, but I did receive an empty box instead of a box with an mp3 player in it. The box had been re-taped during shipping. I sent an email to woot about the problem and they sent me another mp3 player. Although I never did get the tracking number for it as they had promised, I did find the new box with an mp3 player in it at my back door a few days later.
Everyone complains about their shipping and I agree fully. I hate woot's shipping method (smartpost). It sucks as stated on their site. It also took 6 days for them to send out one of my orders and then over a week for me to actually receive it. But, I can't say their customer service was bad. I had prompt replies on the three occasions that I have sent emails.
Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchases from woot and currently awaiting another purchase from their recent woot-off.
