Purchased two Motorola SLVR cell phones. They arrived on time in new packaging. One phone worked fine, the other one crashed every time a phone call was placed or recieved. I sent the damaged phone in for RMA on April 29 2009. I have not recieved a response from the company or RMA center since that time. I have tried emailing the PLEMIX email contacts many times, there are only two addresses sales@plemix.com and support@plemix.com and they both give automated responses. There is no live operator available on their phone line.
Buyer be warned, PLEMIX provides ZERO support after purchase.

The "Credit Card Authorization" form requiring you to photocopy the front and back of your card, AND a bank statement, AND your driver's license, smells like an IDENTITY THEFT scam!
I only tried using them because they offered a price 15% below any other online seller. I know know why, because I now suspect that this "seller" is a SCAM!
I just hope I can get my credit card charge reversed without having to sick the authorities on them.

My camera didn't arrive by when it was guaranteed to arrive. No one in customer service would return my calls or emails. The camera finally arrived but didn't have the screen protector installed as it was supposed to. The merchandise shipped from Asia. I would never work with them again. Beware!

Won a Nokia N97 phone in an auction from his eBay store.
Sent him eBay messages and emails everyday for 7 days and not one was answered.
He has 5 phones listed on his website www.plemix.com and not a single one gets answered (try it for yourself) yet he claims to offer "24 hour Live support"..... The live chat on his site also does not work (try it for yourself :) ). In short this guy does not answer emails and there is no other way to contact him since phones are not answered and live chat does not work.
7 days later I filed a dispute on eBay/PayPal for a refund which he was forced to do due to PayPal rules
.. He did not even have the courtesy to apologize or even try to explain himself.
The address he claims to have in the USA is actually a UPS office. All the 5 phones he has listed get routed to the same place with the same very very short Chinese answering machine...
Take heed avoid this seller like the plague, you have been warned, read the reviews and try it for yourself.
Highly dishonest, non excitant communication.

I have just ordered samsung S8300 Tocco ultra. I recognised that product sold by plemix do not include any manufacturer warranty and I changed my mind. However, I can't cancel my order. There is not an option like that. There is "buying history" on the website and "pending" is written near my order. My money has gone away, I sent email this morning but nobody has responded yet! I hope they will refund my money. I don't understand how I could't cancel my order before dispatching or even confirming..
I am calling their UK call center and nobody answers the phone. Neither they don't answer the phone nor they don't respond my emails and even my order has confirmed. I think I was cheated. If they don't give my money back in 7 days, I will sue them. This review was modified by its author, arifb, on

The business is very shady. The site is created to look professional, but you will never be able to get a hold of a customer service after you have given them your money. The customer service department consists of only one guy named "Beck" (most likely fake name). He is some old Asian man with a strong accent. I have sent several emails and left voicemails to get an RMA number so I can return my product, but never received a single reply. Before I purchased the product, I was replied most of the time for questions I had. I tried calling the 1800 number again and was told by a machine that my phone number was "blocked". I tried the other number they had and it worked, but no one picked up so I left another voice mail. No one ever picks up on their number, and they don't have live chat support like they say they do. (They are currently "working on it" but it's been like that for a long time.
Don't be fooled. It's not worth saving that extra bit of money. There is a 25 percent restock fee, only 7 days to handle refund from the time you receive it too. You won't be able to get an RMA number in time because there is no way to contact any representative. (For USA at least. You won't even know where to send it because they are located in Hong Kong and "Washington state".
I thought I could save a bit of money by buying from them despite the bad reviews I have read. I even ignored BBB's F rating. The guy is a jerk. Don't trust this place. SERIOUSLY.
You might get what you ordered, but it's probably going to be expensive. If anything is wrong with it, NO warranty, NO customer service, and help. Any slight defect and you are out of luck. NOT WORTH IT. Learn from my mistake and many others.

I ordered a Fuji F100fd on May 25th, also encountering the infamous "Credit Approval Process" note. I refused to submit any sort of "living proof" and "driver's license" information - it has never been necessary before and I do not have the confidence in this seller regarding keeping my identity safe.
Poor customer service is shown through the fact that the camera is supposed to ship within 24 hours AND that my credit card was billed literally MINUTES after my order was put in (my bank called me to authorize the charge, and confirmed it being put through). So where is the credit verification? Did it really happen? What speeding up are they talking about?
So now, it is already July 2, and I still do not have a tracking number, and the order status shows up as "processing" on the website. I was hoping to get the camera by July 4th, now I don't even know if I'll get it next week.
Update - July 3rd - Camera was shipped today, according to an email from Plemix w/a FedEx tracking number. So after billing my card on June 25th, they waited 8 days to ship it. From Hong Kong.
Interestingly enough, I've ALSO received an email from Plemix just prior to the tracking # email, saying that they are sorry that the item is out of stock and they can't ship it. I hope they actually sent the camera.

Horrible attempted shopping experience. The order page where you enter the credit card and the billing info is not secure (my browser didn't have the lock symbol). But I went ahead and placed my order anyway. Several hours later I get an email from plemix, addressed to me "Dear Customer", not signed, with no reference to my order or order number requesting me to email or fax them "1) A copy of a recent credit card statement, and 2) A copy of the credit card & a photo ID. Which would have to be either a passport, drivers license or a citizenship card.". This is the first time ever that I'm asked to provide this info to an online seller! Why would anyone need this information for a legitimate reason?! Looks like an attempted ID theft! My shipping and billing addresses were the same. My shipping/billing address is in the US... Go figure.... I'm calling my credit card to report a possible fraud.
If you're attracted by their good prices, think twice before placing an order. I'd stay away.

Bought a Nokia N91 from plemix.com. 2 months later the phone broke. Tried calling Nokia USA warranty, they say the phone I bought is made for the Phillipines market (by the way the phone was made and drop shipped from china), and they cannot repair in the US. When I tried to call the Phillipinnes Nokia, they tell me I have to bring it in and cannot send.
When I tried contacting the people at plemix their reply was... and I quote their email
"Hi,
Thank you for your message. phones are come with 7 days return policy of
defective items after DOA only. Thank you.
Thank you very much for your business.
Please do check back with us regularly for special deals.
Plemix.com"
7 day warranty!!!!!!! on a $600 phone? The box says one year! I've since sent 4 emails and i get the same canned reply.
I am not sure if this is legal, but I know its definately not ethical. They should at least tell you ahead of time that there is no warranty. These people are based in Washington state and sell to the US market.

Do not buy from this merchant. They are cheap but their products come with no warranty. I purchased a $600 video camera that stopped working after about 45 days. The manufacturer would not support the product / warranty because it was not purchased from an authorized reseller. Plemix offered no relief - in fact told me to claim the warranty in Japan.
Would never recommend, will never purchase from again - I'm out over $600.

i ordered two items from this company: a camcorder and a phone and used the expensive 1-2 days delivery.
I just got the package (5 days), and it only contains the camcorder: no phone. they never mentioned two separate shippings and I only got tracking # for 1 (and there are no phone #s to call, only e-mail).
furthermore, the camcorder box had the seal broken. I still have to test it to see if it works and if everything with it is ok (and edit this post accordingly).
I'll revise my judgement if and when they explain me what happened and fix the problem with the phone (i.e. they send it to me), but meanwhile I would reccomend NOT to do business with this company This review was modified by its author, L.C., on

BUYERS BEWARE....
This seller is a big fraud - I bought a Nokia 7280 from them that turned out be locked - I could not use it with my GSM service in the US - I sent it back to them at my cost.
They then claimed to 'test' it and said it was fine. They said they would not replace it nor refund me my money.
I spent over $500 for this phone and now do not have the phone or my money. My only option is to go to my bank and dispute the charge, hoping that they will investigate and get my money back.

Ordered my phone on a monday morning. No confirmation/tracking number after a day, inquired about it on tuesday, told me they didn't have the color i wanted and offered me a different color. I accepted and they told me they'd send me the confirmation/tracking number by the end of the day. Thursday morning, still no confirmation, inquired about it again, told me they were fully out of stock and offered refund w/free shipping next order. The thing that pissed me off was the fact that I had to inquire about my order each time to question why i hadn't received any emails containing my confirmation/tracking number. I might just be unlucky

Originally, I was pretty skeptical about this site. There were some bad reviews, and they did seem kind of sketchy. I agree that their communication leaves way to much to be desired, however, I did get my order in time. It was overnighted from Hong Kong and arrived relatively on time. If they would work on their communication, they would be a much better site.
