Placed order, received confirmation, never shipped, no response to e-mail, they don't answer telephone. Not sure if they took payment, I'll see when cc bill comes. I'll stay away from them from now on.

i think that this store is quite fraudulant. i ordered two mice, and a few filler items. when i recieved the package, i noticed that neither one of the mice were in it, just some of the filler items i ordered. i then looked on the invoice and the 2 mice that i ordered said out. they had cancelled those 2 mice without contacting me through email or anything. i also paid full shipping on everything since this store' shipping stacks. i was very dissapointed because i would not have even ordered if i new i wouldnt get the mice, instead i spent $30, half of it being shipping on stuff i didn't really need. i wasnt impressed with the service. i also recieved a web cam that on the site said was new, but when i recieved it, it said refurbished.

Ordered 4 items on Friday morning, 8/3. I decided to do a "will call" since they're on my way home from work. Received confirmation of order later that morning. I was hoping for them to have the order ready to pick up Monday afternoon.
Well, Monday came and went. Tuesday came and went. Wednesday came and went. Thursday came and went. Thursday evening I send them an email, asking for a status update on my order. Friday came and went; no response. Then Monday came and went; still no word on my order.
Finally on Tuesday I call them from work, and go straight to their automated voice answering system. I "beep" my way to the order status option, only to hear "due to the high volume of calls, we may not be able to respond right away. Try emailing us instead". Yeah, right.
Since they'd already ignored my email, I didn't see much point in leaving a phone message, so I clock out for lunch and drive over there (they're only about 5 minutes away). When I get there, Mike directs me to the back of the building for will calls, so I go there.
I give the guy in the back my information, and they go off to find my order. 10 minutes later, he comes back and says he's got my order ready, but 2 of 4 the items are out of stock. I pick up the other 2 items, sign the packing slip, and take off.
So it looks like my order was delayed because some of the items were out of stock. But why the hell did they take the order if they were out of stock? And why didn't they inform me right away when they found this out? And why did they ignore my email when the order was overdue? And why can't they be bothered to answer the phone?
To their credit, however, they did remove the out-of-stock items from my invoice, and my CC was only charged for the items I picked up. And they also removed the shipping charges from the order (they put a temporary shipping charge on will calls, then take it off when you pick it up. Supposedly if you fail to come pick it up, they ship it to you and charge you for it).
So I won't be placing any online orders from them again. Their complete lack of customer service is very disturbing. What if I wasn't able to drop by in person? How long were they going to ignore my emails and keep me in the dark?
Bottom line: if you want great prices and great service, go to Newegg. If you want great prices and terrible service, go to Surplus Computers. This review was modified by its author, hat301, on

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!
They sent wrong iten. No reply to numerous emails. Phone goes straight to message. Finally I sent the item back with a letter, copies of my emails and the invoice, no response or money back. Now I'm out my item and the money!

These guys suck, purchased items online on 8/5 ... received an order confirmation the same day. After that, no tracking number, no items as of 8/15 ... they don't reply to any e-mails, or phone calls. Worst customer service ever, save yourself some time and money and DON'T BUY FROM THEM. If they don't respond by the end of the week, I'm openning up a dispute with my credit card company. Its a shame crooks like them are in business.

Bought a defective Logitech MX400 mouse.
After 5 emails to them and no response, I gave up.. no longer worth my time to chase after $25.
To exchange product, you must receive a response from them and fill out a lengthy exchange form (no refunds). Terrible service, defective product, NEVER buy ANYTHING from them, unless you want to gamble on their low prices.

Terrible Customer Service. Their website does not provide order status. They don't accept returns, they don't provide a telphone number, and they ignored my email.

I concur with other opinions below that this company is on the decline with their service and reputation. I had ordered several times over the years with very positive results. Recent order had a mix of items - new hard disks, power supplies, a wireless mouse, etc. I received prompt email order confirmation and tracking numbers when shipped. Box arrives and several pieces of my order are missing although the invoice attached to the box shows all items and the full purchase charged to my CC. I email support and two days later get an email indicating the missing items are out of stock. No warning email, no asking if I want to cancel or change the order. I check my CC charge and it HAS been adjusted to offset the missing items cost (thankfully). I then look at the invoice closer.... I was charged 8.25% sales tax (the California rate I presume) and I live in Georgia!!! I sent another email about removing the sales tax charge but have yet to hear anything back. This is the last order they'll get from me.

This company has poor customer service. I ordered a webcam. After I didn't hear anything for a week I tried calling. Noone answers the phones at the offices and the voicemail boxes are full. I sent an email and noone replied. My second email 4 days later was replied to after 2 days only to tell me that the product wasn't avaliable. THEN WHY ARE YOU TAKING ORDERS FOR IT?!?!? This totally sqrewed me because I needed that camera for a trip!
I am very disappointed with my experience with this company. This company provides poor customer service and I will never do buisiness with it again. BEWARE!

Order placed late on the 18th, confirmation email received the same day and shipment email on the 21st. Package arrived on the 22nd with all ordered items. Very satisfied with this transaction.

I recently placed an order and I have not heard a word from this company since. I emailed their customer service department numerous times and I have yet to receive any reply.
I have totally given up on these guys and will not be buying from them again. They don't even have any contact number on their website. Their warehouse is located in the same state as me, so I have no idea what the delay is.

I ran into some problems installing Nero7 i'd bought from Surplus Computers, and after reading some feedback, i'd felt a little leery about my purchase.
I sent an email to the default tech support email address (techsupport@surpluscomputers.com) on the invoice and found a reply within a couple of hours.
After getting to Larry and going through the regular mundane troubleshooting process, we still could not get it to work. He took it upon himself to open another copy of the software and try my CD Key with it and proved it worked. He was still willing to ship me that known good CD later in the day!
I eventually found the problem to be on my side (previous version of Nero 6 hidden in the OS) and was then able to install my original CD and CD Key effortlessly.
Larry went out of his way and responded extremely quickly to my problem and it will result in me looking to Surplus Computers for future purchases. I don't know how the others fared, but I received stellar support on this purchase.

Don't buy anything from this company, they suck!!!!!!! I got my adapter and after I got it on the 360 and it found my network I entered the wep key and it quit working, the channel would not change and nothing would pick up a signal from it, including my two laptops. So I called linksys and went round and round with their low level tech who knew nothing, so I eventually spoke to an upper level tech and we went through all of the trouble shooting and he concluded that it was faulty. So I notified Surpluscomputers.com , they said I would have to pay shipping back to them, so I told them no way. One of their techs calls me and tells me they are not going to pay for shipping on a product that is not faulty but has problems due to user errors, this without even knowing what the problem is. He went on to say that the Linksys upper level guy knows nothing and that I should read the internet, etc... To make a long story short, I am disputing the charges with my CC company. BTW, Linksys does not want to honor warranties for products bought from these guys. So beware, even if it is cheap.

This was my first purchase from these folks and I was a bit nervous because of some of the negative feedback they have here and on other sites. Regardless, I took a chance and was very pleased with my choice to buy from them. I ordered 2 SD cards and they arrived yesterday in tact and as promised. I sent two emails to their customer service department asking about the status of my order and they promptly replied to both emails.
They could do better in customer service overall. Online order tracking and a bit more shipping info would be nice. However, they were by far the cheapest source for what I wanted and they delivered.
