I was initially very pleased with Baby Age. I have ordered from them twice and both times, the items arrived literally 2 days after placing the order. Their prices are great and the flat-fee shipping is a plus. The problem comes when you need to return/exchange something. I followed the return instructions EXACTLY, expecting a refund. Instead, I received an email saying I have a store credit for the amount I am owed. I have been trying unsuccessfully for a month to contact this company. They have not responded to numerous emails made through their customer support area on their website. I have also tried to call them numerous times. I have NEVER spoken to a person. I usually wait for 10-15 minutes, then am put to voicemail and it says "the mailbox is full" and hangs up. I think this is such a shady organization that I am going to just spend my credit with them so I can get something out of the deal. They are extremely unreputable and I would STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

This store has ridiculous return policies and even if you follow them exactly they will not honor a refund. When presented with this issue, they refused to help. BabyAge's retunr policy and customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. They now have ny money and the product I purchesed. I will not ever shop with them again.

This is the absolute worst customer service I have EVER received. Don't purchase from this store. You won't get your merchandise and they won't bother to let you know that you won't receive it.

Throughout the past decade E-commerce has taken a new role in our society, providing the world and its' vast array of products at the click of a mouse to any internet savvy client with a credit card.
Having worked in the E-Commerce business for 10 years, I am all too familiar with the loose business ethics and practices that prove to be a swollen black eye on the entire industry.
However, I would like to share my own personal experience with "Baby Age", a company that is in my opinion light years ahead of other online baby product retailers in customers service, products offered and support.
My last purchase, the Baby Beethoven Video, is another example of the quality customer service and attention to detail that BabyAge has provided to me, the consumer. The video was accurately listed on their website to "both stimulate and promote the mental growth of your child through visually stimulating real-world objects including toys, fruit and animals" I am sure that my baby will soon by writting his own concerto's with the aid of this video.
As a consumer, I am more than satisfied with the excellent service provided to me by BabyAge. Any non-believers out there that that still turn to other Baby Superstores for their products need to wake-up and smell the baby powder, because Baby Age is here to stay.

Arrived at house 2:25pm Thursday
Packaging was not the best but 2 boxes at 55 lbs total weight for $5.95 shipping = not a problem

I placed an order for a Britax Esprit stroller before I read the reviews for this company. To be honest I was in a hurry and since the stroller was very new on the market I had trouble finding stores that had the color I wanted in stock. I was lucky to find babyage.com and immediately placed my order since it was shipping the item for free. By the way it has the best shipping charges a flat $5.95 for all purchases. Anyhow I placed my order and then recieved an order confirmation almost immediately (You have to register with them online). After placing the order I read about the poor reviews and was very worried that my stroller would not arrive in time before our trip. Well I would like to say that this company is the best!!!! They promised next day delivery and I recieved another email confirming that the item was shipped (as promised the next day after I placed the order). They included my tracking number which I could check on the shipper's (UPS) website. The item arrived in 4 business days (great even for free shipping) and in perfect condition box and everything inside. They have a very friendly customer service representitives (both times I called). Actually I called before placing the order online to make sure that the item was really in stcok and she told me the truth no lies!!! Second call was to make sure the item was sent since the first email provided the tracking number but the item was not shipped out (all the bad reviews made me nervous, of course it wasn't since it was shipped out the next day). I am very happy with the order and have already told my friends about the company. For those that had problems with the company I am sorry but they probably had computer issues or maybe the customers did not put enough effort trying to get a refund. In all fairness I have made lots of purchases online and this by far is one of the best companies. I would definitely do business again and hope others will do too.

Shipping did take a little longer than expected (an extra week). I ordered a Triumph 5 Car seat on July 18 and didn't receive it until August 8. I had to call the customer rep to inquire on the delay. The rep was quite helpful and told me it was to be delivered the next day and it was. Even with the delay, I am quite happy to have such a quality seat at such a great price. This review was modified by its author, bonestock, on

I am happy with my purchase. I got two car seats at a great price. The shipping was only $5.95 for both, with no sales tax, so how can you go wrong? That's aside from the fact they were the cheapest on this particular model (even cheaper than anything on Pricegrabber).
I guess the only thing I can complain about is that it took them two days from date of order to actually ship. But again, with the flat rate shipping, I'm not griping too much. Overall, I am very satisified. (I will note that I did not have to deal with their customer service that everyone is talking about, so I can't comment on that.)

dO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE - CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. I PURCHASED AN INFANT CAR SEAT AND AN INFANT STROLLER FRAME FOR THE CAR SEAT. I WAS NEVER TOLD THE FRAME WAS BACK ORDERED. I E-MAILED AND CALLED AND CANCELLED THE BACK ORDERED ITEM AND WAS PROMISED A PROMPT REFUND. THIS REFUND NEVER APPEARED ON MY CREDIT CRD BILL. A MONTH LATER AN E-MAIL WAS SENT TELLING ME THE ORDER WAS STILL BACK ORDERED AND WOULD BE REFUNDED. I CALLED AND E-MAILED AND WAS TOLD THE CANCELLATION WAS NEVER PROCESSED AND THEY WERE IN ERROR AND AGAIN A CREDIT WOULD BE MADE ASAP. THIS HAS NOT OCCURED. I CALLED AND E-MAILED AGAIN AND WAS PROMISED A CREDIT WOULD GO OUT - AGAIN IT HAD NOT. I FILED A COMPLAING WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND THEY HAVE HANDLED IT. I HAVE DOCUMENTATION ON EVERY PHONE AND E-MAIL I HAVE RECEIVED. HOW DISAPPOINTING!

Terrible, terrible, terrible. I placed an order for a highchair and exersaucer on January 26 through the Babyage Web site. According to the site, all items were available for shipment the next business day. On Feb. 1 I had not received any shiping confirmation information, so I called and spoke with a customer service agent, who gave me 2 FedEx tracking numbers and assured me that my order would arrive the following day. I attempted to track my order through FedEx myself, and it turns out that the numbers that he gave me were for someone elses order. I called Babyage on Feb. 3 to follow up and I was told that they were still processing my order and that she did not have any more information. The agent said that she thought that they were waiting for one of my items to come in stock. This company is TERRIBLE. Each phone call to customer service has resulted in my being on hold for at least 20 minutes a call. I have received no response to any e-mails that I have sent them. I have reported this company to the BBB. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM...

The worst customer service in the world. I should have checked out the reviews on this site prior to placing my order. I placed an order for a stroller on January 5. They sent me an incorrect FedEx tracking number a few days later. After speaking with someone in customer service on January 24, I was told that a manager would be contacting me. It is January 26 and I still haven't heard anything. Atrocious business practices!!!

I too have tried to call BabyAge several times and emailing them. I FINALLY talked to Cheryl (?) when I called about 30 minutes before they closed. I actually talked to her twice. Seems like they only have one person answering the phone. She gave me the tracking numbers which I checked while on the phone with her...

AFTER BEING CHARGED FOR MY ORDER I WAS GIVEN FALSE TRACKING NUMBER FOR FEDEX STATING THE ORDER WAS SHIPPED. TO THIS DATE THE ITEM HAS NEVER BEEN RECIEVED NOR ARE WE ABLE TO GET ANYONE TO ANSWER THE TELEPHONE AFTER CALLING THE TOLL FREE NUMBER EVERY HOUR OR EMAIL REQUEST FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD AND BUYER BEWARE.

For those consumers that are thinking about shopping at this store, then I suggest that you go to Bizrate.com & read the mostly NEGATIVE reviews about this site. I have notified the Better Business Bureau of this store/website. I ordered a Nicole Miller Porte Bebe Carrier on January 5, 2005. Of course, my card was charged a couple of days later & I was sent a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number on 1-11-05. Supposedly, the item was shipped on the 10th, but when I clicked on the tracking number in the email, there was no record of the number on the FedEx website. I spoke to someone at FedEx regarding this matter on 1-19-05 & they didn't even have my ADDRESS listed, much less the tracking number in the email! I have tried several times to reach a human being at this company, but no response either in the sales dept. or customer service. I need the carrier or a refund! This is no way to do business. If they are having problems, they need to inform customers of that on their website so that other customers won't have the problems that I & others are having. The company has posted responses to some of the reviews, but they seem to be computer-generated! Can't even get a human response to that!

Virtually impossible to get in touch with anyone in sales or customer service, via email or telephone. Haven't received my product and was never given a tracking number for update on order. The website doesn't recognize my password. There is no way to follow up on my order and am afraid that this is a fraudulant site. Please help!
