Fast service! I used their free shipping option and my order arrived in just two days. I'm not sure if this is always the case (it's my first time ordering from them) but I am a happy first time customer.

These folks across the board were great to deal with! Our order was for a new product coming from CISCO (LinkSys). It ended up back ordered due to slow shipments out of CISCO. Greg and crew kept us up to date as they received new info from CISCO's distributors, were very technically in touch, and are just plan old-fashioned nice. I forgot to order a needed cable and when Greg learned this, he made sure that I had the cable in hand from his store in time for the direct drop shippment receipt of the late CISCO product.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

You will find the best customer service here. These guys are the experts of Media Center. They were fast to get to my pre sale questions and super fast to ship my item. Email communication is awesome, updated me on my order status as required. They came highly recommended, now I know why!

I purchased a Moneual MonCaso 932B from PCAlchemy as part of a home theater computer I was building as a gift for my father. Being a Canadian resident, I was expecting the usual hassle I get from most American retailers, but much to my surprise, they were very accommodating and I actually got the case quicker than some of the Canadian orders I placed for other parts.
Overall they were a pleasure to deal with, they shipped the case very quickly, and their price was better than the other 5 stores I checked. I would strongly recommend them to anyone, especially if you're in the market for HTPC specific goodies!

Very unprofessional, I have a company with a business address for shipping packages (who would want $1,000 in gear sitting in front there house) I used my personal credit card with my home billing address and there order processing service fell apart. Pcalchemy charged my card and refused to ship the items. The sales manager was more interested in shouting about his history of fraud, and telling me his policy is in place to protect me. The problem is he didn't follow his own policy of vetting the order before taking any money. The pcalchemy order vetting process is suspect, and caused me not to get my items for Christmas. If you think I may be too hard and order vetting is good, I have more information about my first order invoice #44862. My order #44862 with pcalchemy was also flagged by there vetting process, and they accidentally shipped it without contacting me. Wow! This review was modified by its author, dhford, on

We take credit card fraud very seriously and at no point is this process acted unprofessional.
This order was flagged as possible fraud because it met at least 9 criteria for fraud, the three most important being:
1) AVS (Address Verification Service) returned a non match on the billing street address.
2) Invalid Email Address.
3) Phone number that was never answered and did not have voice mail.
When we finally made contact with the customer, she refused to give us additional information so we could verify the shipping address with the credit card company. At that point she requested that the order be canceled which we immediately did and reversed the CC transaction. Had the customer provided the phone number to the credit card company and we were able to verify the shipping address we would have released the order for shipment. We simply cannot ship any order especially one of almost $1000 when all indications are that it is fraud.
Our only mistake in this process was capturing the credit card authorization for the order. Normally we do not capture the charge until either processed for shipment or the customer OKs a back order. Unfortunately we had originally processed this order for shipment but when order status emails were returned due to the invalid email address, we put the order on hold and attempted further verification.
We have these measures in-place to protect our customers and others from fraud and they are certainly not out of the ordinary. |

I had a problem with one of the usb cables on the Origen HTPC case I ordered from these folks and when I inquired about a replacement there was a 'cable is shipping' notice in my inbox the next morning. That would be awfully good customer service under normal circumstances but as it happens I waited over eighteen months to ask for the replacement cable and they didn't even blink.
*Very* impressed.

I ordered a HTPC case and a HDTV tuner from PC alchemy on a weekend, and a day later I received a call from a representative saying that the case shipment encountered an error on the manufacturer's end and promptly refunded my money. There was also a coupon for the HDTV tuner that was not processed correctly, after I sent an email to their sales dept, I received a reply in just two hours fixing the problem. Some of the best service I've dealt with from both a e-tailer and a brick-and-mortar store in a long time. Highly recommended!
