Purchased a T-6280 8 Channel Smart Charger in Nov.2007 to prepare for all the batteries my childrens toys would go thru. I've ordered additional batteries in Jan.2008 and both times the shipments came fairly quickly.
The T-6280 8 Channel Smart Charger started going bad today with pretty minimal use. I think I've re-charged maybe less than 25X. Both of the channel lights flash red which is supposed to indicate a bad battery but there are no batteries in those particular channels to be charged! Killing the power and re-plugging it in didn't stop it. Brought it to work and I noticed only one channel was blinking not two anymore. I contacted customer service and was told to email the RMA department. I asked to be transferred but was then told no one would be there until 10:30. Oh, OK. Found an RMA form to fill out online so just did that. Up until now the batteries and re-charger seemed to work pretty well and I was happy. Hopefully their customer service can be accomodating but we'll see. Other comments I've seen have not been too happy with customer service.
Update Feb.21, 2008
Received an RMA form via email pretty quickly. The RMA is a Word doc and it looks like an 8th grader made it up. Anyway, I returned it on my dime and it's been two days since they received it. Since there is no indication on the order status page of their 'site I called customer service but just got busy signals. I initiated a 'Live' chat and I was told it would take about 5 days to ship out my replacement. That's where I stand now. This review was modified by its author, Kio, on

I've made two orders from All-battery. The first order went smoothly and I got my package in about a week. I ordered a 1A, 30-40 cell NiMh charger, which turned out to be a piece of junk. The charger was never able to detect when the battery was fully charged. If left unattended, it would have destroy the battery. I returned the charger and was given a refund. But of course I lost money on the shipping costs. I also got six 7 cell packs of 3800mah NiMh batteries. The packs were on sale and was quite a good deal. But when I tested them out, they were all much lower than the claimed capacity. Even after many cycles to condition them, the best I got was about 3000-3200mah. They also sell two different 4500mah NiMh cells. One costs a little bit more than the 3800mah cell, and there other one "Propel" costs twice as much as their other 4500mah. So what's the differences between them? The more expensive cell has a guarantee than it as a min. capacity of 4200mah. So what does that mean for the cheaper 4500mah cell? It's probably also much lower than the claimed capacity just like the 3800mah I bought. So bottom line, don't trust their rating! Only their top "Propel" cells has any guarantee.
I bought these cells to power my electric bike. So battery capacity is very important. Because the cells capacity didn't measure up to what I was expecting, I decided to get more packs to wire them in parallel and double my capacity.
After my first order, I was given a code for free shipping if I made another order within 60 days. This was extra incentive to make a second order. I used the code during my order and everything went through, or so I thought. 5 days later, my order still hadn't shipped. I later found out the free shipping only applies in the US. I'm in Canada. After a bunch of ignored emails and second rate customer service, I called them to sort everything out. In the end, I had to pay another $23 to get my package shipped. If I hadn't already committed myself by buying the first set of batteries, I think I would have cancelled my order.
My conclusion is, All Battery has good prices, but don't believe their claims unless they have a guarantee. And if you're looking for a NiMh charger that can charge 30-40 cells. Make sure the charger uses a thermistor for peak detection. Chargers using voltage drop detection, like the one all-battery sell don't work well on packs with a lot of cells.
One last note. I was on this site a month ago and saw there were many reviews of All-battery. There must had been over 60 reviews going back several years. For some strange reason, all the reviews were deleted. Not sure who was responsible for that. The deleted reviews were not all bad, but there were a fair number of people not happy with them. Their rating was around 6 out of 10.

I purchased 24 AAA Tenergy batteries on 7/5/07. They are used in remote controls, outdoor temperature sensors, and mp3 players. Seven of the 24 will no longer accept a charge. 3 of the 7 were accidentally washed in a washing machine. The remaining 17 seem to work well.

I have been very pleased with All-Battery from the aspects of price, service, and quality of product. Over the last year, I have ordered from them about six times and all orders were shipped promptly with the correct products which worked well.

Having quite a long time experience with rechargeables I have found that they tend to loose their long-life quality over time and recharge cycles, especially this being true with low-cost batteries. This is one of the reasons why I wasn't quick to review the Tenergy brand that allbattery sells - not until they had at least 20-30 cycles of charge. I used the 2600 mAh AA and 1000 mAh AAA batts found at http://www.all-battery.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=587&HS=1 for digicam, portable speakers, players and other more-or less power hungry devices (it’s a common knowledge that for low drain devices such as remotes alkalines are better for their capacity to retain charge for a longer time).
After using them for 5 months now I have to admit that I have been pretty happy with their life and reliability. They tend to have a long life (not just a good rating), and they even seem to have a better shelf-life than comparables. None of the pack developed any faults as of yet. If this is of any significance, I use a smart charger that does not overheat or overcharge which should also help the batts. Have not tested any chargers from all-battery and have no comments on those, however from the photos at least the cheapest of those seem to be the generic type most of the economy battery stores offer.
My verdict: With the price that is really good and competitive they have a pretty bright future, I would say, of course if they contain the good price/quality ratio.

I had a new baby in March 2006 and from that on, I spent lots of money on buying alkaline batteries since many baby gears or toys require AA or C batteries. My baby spent lots of time in the bouncer, swing (both of them require 4 C batteries) during the first 3 months, I realized how expensive the batteries are. Even if I got alkaline batteries on sale at Target, 1 dollar per unit for C size, it is still expensive since the batteries are dead so quickly. After my baby turned 3 months old, I decided to start using rechargeable batteries for her gears and toys. I heard from a friend that I can save a lot by buying on line. Luckily I found all-battery.com and the reviews look good. I am so surprised to find that their price is much lower than store. I actually did search the recharable batteries at Target and Wal-Mart. Their selections were either not too much or the price is high. Besides the price, I am very impressive that they have a huge selection of all kinds of AA, AAA, C, D, and 9V batteries and specialty batteries as well (cell phone, portable device, camera, etc). Besides AA, AAA and C batteries, I also wanted to get a charger. All-battery.com also provides cheaper charger compared to retail store. I wasn't sure how many C or D batteries can the charger charge at the same time and sent an email to customer support. Here is the link of the charger I got. http://www.all-battery.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=7
And they replied me on the same day and confirmed the charger can charge 2 C or D at the same time! I was very happy with their service and then went ahead to place the order. The shipping was fast considering that they need to ship the products from California to northeast. I waited for more than 4 months to see if the battery is working well. I am very happy with the quality and glad that I saved lots of money on buying the alkaline batteries. I didn’t notice any any difference between them and the Energizer rechargeables I bought initially for my digital camera. My baby grows older now and I am not worried about replacing batteries for her toys. She can just play as long as she like in the activity center, interlainer and with all the electronic toys since we have the rechargeable batteries now. I would continue to buy rechargeable batteries from this store and would recommend this store to my friends since they have great prices, products and also services.
