I ordered a rather expensive jewelery armoire. Initially the experience was pleasant. A day or two after the order I received a phone call stating that it would be available and ready for shipment the next day. I received an email as well stating the same. I received the product, and it was opened as a gift. Upon placing it in the room a handle fell off in my hand as I opened a drawer. Upon closer inspection, it had been sent from the factory in a defective state. The base was cracked and weakened. I contacted them via email (including pictures of the defect) to ask for a replacement handle since shipping a 42" box that weighed 50LBS is cost prohibitive. The response was immediate and then nothing. I waited nearly a week and still no response. I wrote again and received an emails stating that they had contacted their supplier and were waiting for a solution. I have waited now for over two months and have yet to receive any response. A rating of 3 stars is being kind at this point.

I am not happy. Don't get me wrong the product I received was the correct product and it did work, but getting that product wasn't simple. First of all I made a purchase for one receiver and that order was canceled without contacting me because it was out of stock. The website didn't say anything about this product being out of stock. Then when I call back later to see what was available I find out that someone is on a waiting list to get the next two available. I wish someone would have notified me that being put on a waiting list was an option. The sales reps are rude and act like they don't need your business. That is unacceptable customer service and I will not be doing business with DAKmart ever again!

Ordered Denon AV-R1709 on Jan. 14th. After a week passing and sending an email asking for shipping status I get this:  
 
"Your item is presently unavailable.  
Invoice #606191  
SLED DENON AVR-1709 7.1 SURROUND RECEIVER AUTH DLR W/WT  
 
Your order has been canceled.  
 
The temporary authorization on your credit card has been VOIDED. Your credit card has NOT been charged.  
Please feel free to call or email us at any time if we can be of further assistance.  
Thank you for your business".  
 
 
I sent a follow-on email to ask how to determine in-stock; "will ship" items from the out-of-stock; "Order cancelled" after you ask items. Still no reply. Order is still listed as "Processing".  
 
As of today . . . the same AV-R1709 has a "Buy Now" button, it can be placed in the shopping cart for purchase and it is listed as a "Best Seller".  
 
So where is my receiver DAKMART????? Or are you just trolling the internet for credit card numbers?

Took a whole week just to ship item (Denon avr589 refurb) and item appears to be defective. Dakmart is closed over weekends so will have to wait to see how the problem resolves.

I'm beginning to see why dakmart has such abysmal ratings. They tend to ignore emails and hide behind answering machines apparently, as numerous emails and calls went unanswered.  
 
It was only when I sent notice that I would file a dispute with my credit card that I finally got a response from "head of customer service" or some such, Kevin, which conversation was evasive and unproductive and ended with Kevin telling me to go ahead and file a dispute with my credit card company and then hanging up.  
 
I made this purchase Jan 4. Didn't receive it until the 15th, but since it was broken out of the box still do not have the use of it. And, according to Denon, it's not at their shop so who knows. The company dakmart had me ship the unit to is called "panurgy" not denon. No repair status is forthcoming from dakmart since Kevin was too busy hanging up to get me any pertinent information.  
 
 
Ohh, and dakmart is vote bribing - flyer included inside Denon package indicates $10.00 cash for posting reviews - but they won't pay if the review is "bad" as Kevin told me today. My initial review was neutral, but I've changed it to "lower than snakebellies" as of today based on my overall experience so far.

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM DAKMART!!! I ordered a refurbished Denon Recevier over a week ago. I did receive an email telling me the order had been placed. However, I tried to send 2 seperate emails and called to see if I could see the status of the order. I did not get any responses from my emails and I kept getting a voice mail when I tried to call. I called my credit card company to see if it had been charged and it was charged immediately after the order was placed.  
 
I just received an email today stating the order was never charged to my credit card and they do not stock the item I wanted to purchase. Anyone can have the best price on products they do not stock. This is not the wat to run an online store.  
 
DAKMART SUCKS!!!

I was utterly disappointed with my experience with Dakmart. I ordered a pair of Sennheiser RS130 Wireless headphones from them because they had an excellent price on them. However, I was unaware because the site did not indicate that the item was out of stock.  
 
I called the customer care number, to which I received a "Hello?", after which I had to check and make sure I called the right place. Never in my life have I have a customer service person answer his phone with a "Hello?" before. Not only that, but when I canceled the order, the support person said the card would not be billed, so I tried to use it for an Amazon purchase, which was declined because Dakmart already withdrew the funds from the gift Visa card. I had to go through a bunch of hoops to get Dakmart to take the funds off hold so I could use them.  
 
I ended up having to have a conference call with my bank company and the Dakmart people. The whole thing took up a whole day of my life, and I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM DAKMART AGAIN. Save yourself a huge headache, stick to customer care oriented companies like Amazon.

This website does not specify that items on the site are out of stock. I placed one order and then later received an email that the item wasn't available. I then placed another order for a similar item and again subsequently received an email that the item wasn't available. I just wasted alot of time and won't bother trying to order from them again.

I tried to order an advertised product. On checkout, the website gave an error messaging stating there was a problem with my Visa card and I should contact my bank. So I tried my Mastercard. Same message.  
 
I emailed Dakmart to ask for alternative options to pay. A few days later, I was told the item wasn't actually in stock. What a waste of time.

I was completely dissatisfied with this company. I ordered a phone for a special situation and had only one shipping option which made it very inconvenient. When the phone did arrive the handset was broken and a large hole in the base station. I called about the damaged item and the only option was to return, wait and they would send another. A minimum of 6 days. This was not an option. I requested if they sold a compatible phone for the base. Only one person could answer my question and he would be gone for a week. It is apparently a low budget operation which has no cross training and very poor customer relations. I will not do business with this company again. Far to many hoops to get anything done.

Had a problem. They are working on it. Promised to fix. After more than 30 days and a third phone. Finally got one that worked. Said they would send me a check for 10 bucks. Nothing... Done with Dakmart!  
Never again....

This was my first time to purchase from this online retailer. I felt un-easy about them from the beginning. I emailed them after 72 plus hours to find out why my order was still being processed. The next day I received an email. “We are sorry to say this item is on backorder We can ship as soon as the unit arrives, or we can cancel teh transaction Your credit card has not ben charged Wes also have several other Denon receivers in stock Please call us at 1-877-DAKMART ext 226 thanks" (I tried to call several times (Kevin ?)to re-order a deferent model but only got messages, they never returned my call. I just hope its just waisted time and they don’t charge my card (I will press charges). After doing Google search it appears they have had many complaints (Google dakmart complaints). It makes me wonder if some if not all of the reviews here are bogus. Purchased item (Denon receiver) elsewhere. Bad business practice's, waisted time, horrible customer service,many google complaints, merchant has all my credit info. wow! can you say red-flag

Received a call from Dakmart this morning advising product ordered (Denon AVR) are in stock and now available. The gentleman apologized for the inconvenience and offered a deal. He said he spoke with Kevin about the issue and asked if I would revise my resellers review. I have all ready ordered from another supplier since. My item has been delivered and set up days ago. If they had just called before now I wouldn’t have felt as if my purchase was just not important to them.  
**UPDATE** 10.7.09  
Dakmart.com sent item anyway even after canceling the item. I was totally shocked again by this companies business practices. Called Dakmart.com same day, they sent a return label and said UPS would pick it up. I don’t think UPS was ever notified so I took it to the shipper myself. I finally received credit for the returned item but not for original shipping charges of $36.59. Called Dakmart.com again and spoke to Diana she wanted my original email stating that I canceled the order. Another runaround. I forwarded her the original email cancelling the order. She replied she was unable or could not because she didn’t have the authority to do so. Diana with Dakmart said she would have Kevin the manager call me right back, well Kevin doesn’t get back to his customers from my experiences with him. So let’s just see what happens next.

Never Recieved a call or refund for shipping.

i order some rs120 sennheiser wireless headphones from dakmart straight out the box the sounded like they were blown terrible bass very unsatisfied tried to contact these people by phone and email till this day i have not heard from them very unprofesional well anyways i ended selling a pair of brandnew headphones on craigslist for 25 dollars what a shame do not recomend this store sucks trust me read there return policy before buying anything from them you'll see what im talking about.

TERRIBLE!! Placed an order on July 2nd. Never received a confirmation number and began to think the company was sketchy. Not unlike the last reviewer, I contacted the company (SIX DAYS LATER) when my item had not arrived, only to receive an e-mail back stating that my order had been "canceled because the item was back ordered." How nice of them to let me know...  
Now, how exactly is a refurbished item back ordered? Maybe they have a list of people who have this type of phone, and they just wait for the phone to die, then be refurbished, and subsequently resold on this rip off site? Ha! Don't waste your time or money!! A huge inconvenience--had to start my shopping for a new cordless phone all over, meanwhile we are using a corded phone--ugg! BY THE WAY--UPDATE--They are STILL selling the phone I bought (that is out of stock) and another comparable model that is supposedly out of stock as well. **

Bait and switch! I placed two separate orders this month and both items on their website showed the items in stock. After waiting for a week, I had to contact them concerning the status of my orders. Neither order was in stock and they tell you they are waiting to receive them from the factory. They then try to sell you a more expensive item that they really do have in stock. Even after upgrading to a more expensive item on the first order, it took another week and a half to receive it. The second order ended up getting cancelled by them because I didn’t upgrade to the more expensive model.
