I was impressed by the website. It very clearly shows how different choices affect the price (always fair) and offers such a wide array of options.  
 
The video card I had chosen was out of stock, but the account manager, Joe, offered me half off the upgrade cost, which I accepted. Joe really came through on this order; I probably would have cancelled it if he hadn't worked with me on the upgrade cost and assured me the system would still ship in time.  
 
I had read some pretty bad things about cyberpowerpc, so I was apprehensive to see that name on the box the system was shipped in. Despite that, I have had no technical problems in the week that I've had it.  
 
Also, the extra $20 for the professional wiring really shows. Everything is neat and tidy in the case.  
 
Overall, I am glad I decided to purchase from buyxg.com. :O)

Dam them to hell.  
 
The order department was helpful and nice.  
 
My computer was delayed several days in shipping and my request to have my order date dated til the actual ship date was deflected.  
 
The machine stopped working 3 days into the testing...no video. I initially got thru to tech support but had to spend a several calls diagnosing what was wrong. During peek east coast hours this was very wasteful and half the time I did not get through. Eventually we identified the motherboard as the problem. Problem was that I was not communicated the option to ship the PC back, and was instead shipped a motherboard to install. Seeing the length of the procedures to install it myself, I tried, called to complain, had to get advice over several calls (with more waiting and not getting through) to get installed but still no video. At this point I was worried that it would take forever to get the thing running so I called to get to get a return number but was informed that I would have to pay for shipping now that my acceptance period was over.  
 
When complained the techs eventually left a message with a supervisor, who did not return the call as promised. I called again and was rudely told that policy was policy.  
 
I am wondering if this series of events does falls short of a legal fulfillment of their obligations, and in any case was morally well short of the mark.  
 
If you are not able to police your interests closely at the expense of long hours, I would not do business with buyxg.

One if, if not the best, online shopping experiences I've had. I came  
away with the impression your company and particularly those who worked  
on my pc/order cared about the product and making it as good as  
possible; very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. The box came  
ready to go and all of the spare parts were included in the package (I  
really appreciate that).  
I ordered a very high end machine and they called me to go over some of the items that were not know to work well together and items that were not needed (for instance: I ordered a second NIC not realizing the MB had 2 built in.)  
The machine runs great and was well worth it.  
 
Currently living in gaming heaven. Thank you!

Xtreme Gear is one of the best computer companies hands down. They had the best price of any major PC vendor, the PC was exactly what was ordered, the sales staff is outstanding and the tech support forums are awesome. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a high-end gaming computer to check these guys out!

This company was great! They shipped out 5 days early and they kept my update on the process. Only complaint i have is the tech support guys are rude, but they did answer the question I asked. Also it takes a lot of holding for you to be able to talk to tech support. I would buy from them again, because of the great deals.

Ordered online and quickly received a phone call from Joe letting me know certain parts I substituted required other changes to my order. It was quickly and professionally handled.  
 
After I received it I contacted the sales dept about some SATA cables that I believed should have been included with the motherboard package contents. They were quickly shipped.  
 
My only complaint is relatively minor: The computer was shipped a week ahead of the scheduled completion date and the only notice that it had shipped was the "missed delivery" notice from FedEx on my door when I came home from work.  
 
In spite of that, I'm very pleased with my purchase and the CyberPower/Xtreme Gear company and personnel.

Once again I have another excellent machine from these guys. As it was with the last machine, ordering was simple and there were a lot of hardware options to choose from. The laptop performs flawlessly and is VERY fast for the 1600 bucks I paid for it. Can't get anything like this from Dell for that price. This 8000 Intel machine is loaded--Intel Duo Core processor, 120GB 7200 SATA HDD, 4 GB RAM, gigabit LAN, NVidia 512MB video card that doesn't drag when watching a movie. This thing is just as fast on the battery. The biggest plus is there is NO trial ware to uninstall (as I have had to do in the past with Dell, HP, Compaq, etc) and I was still able to get Win XP Pro. I still do not have faith in Vista just yet--too many of my classmates have had issues with Vista and other software compatibility issues. I sent back my other laptop when it died and their tech support called me and kept me in the loop every step of the way, and now I have two great machines at my disposal. Thanks XG--you guys rock.

Great experience. Sales support was very helpful both before and after purchase. Computer was expertly packed, so all components arrived in perfect working condition. All components were as advertised. Price was among the best I could find on the web-- I'm used to hand-building computers, but xtremegear has prices so good that it made it silly to build it myself.  
 
 
I was also very satisfied with the range of options that I had while choosing the components. The price steps between various components-- between one level of processor and another, for example-- make sense, and are not the hyperbolic ones you see on other websites.  
 
Overall, a wonderufl experience.

Got my system, it runs great, looks like a piece of art,and your staff rocks! Upon arrival, the box had a hole punched into it. I made the carrier wait until i inspected inside the box. The computer was snuggly fitted inside the case box surrounded by a protective layer of foam. No damage!  
 
Fired it up and my jaw hit the ground! The lighting and case looked spectacular! I tried to bog it down for 2 days running more programs then you can shake a stick at, nothing fazed it. Since i was limited in funds, i know i couldn't have gotten a better system anywhere. Your site rocks, the sales guy (Joe B.) is awesome, and the computer was built with that professional touch.  
 
I'll mock anyone i know who doesn't buy XG! You guys will build my next system, hopefully not to soon tho. Wink Thanks!

I ordered a relatively standard computer from this site. It took over 2 weeks to build, and arrived a few days after that -- without any graphics card (I'd ordered an upgraded one with it). Upon notifying them, they sent one out and it arrived a couple of days later. Rather puts the lie to their claimed burn-in testing -- given the computer wouldn't be useable without it (there's no on-board video at all). No compensation for my time dealing with their screw-up and installing it myself. I would not buy here again.

Ok, here I am I took the plunge and ordered a maching from XG with 2 sli Nvdia direct x 10 graphics cards. well All I have, is a very expensive web broser. I have called tech support 2 times as of today. Both support staff members have been rude and very short with me as I feel like I am bothering them. I am hoping that I can get my problmes takent care of when the next windows vista drivers arrive. I was told by tech support to contact the game manufacture and they could do nothing for me. I am a business owner and I have purchased about 20 desktops and laptops since 1997. I have only had trouble with two. One was from abs. I was very patient with the situatiion and tried to get things resolved for a long time. Finally I filed a lawsuit(helps to have an attorney as your best friend...lol) and they exchanged the computer. The new machine worked perfectly. Anyway I will be patient again logging all my problems and conversations in a shiny new green notebook. I did purchase this to enjoy all the new direct x 10 games. If I can not get my problems resoled I will file suite and get what I was promised one way or another. In closing, I would not buy from this company again. Be careful and do your research and never let them ripp you off. I would love to give this company a good review but I can not. The product does not work as promised, and customer service is lacking, however I did get to listen to four complete songs while I was on hold. XG=POOR Choice

It seems as tho you are having trouble playing games because of the vista compatibility issue. We test these systems with some of the more popular games but we cannot garantee that it will work with every video game because vista is so new and bound to have a few problems. Unfortunately due to the nature of the problem being embedded in struggle between microsoft and video game developers to produce compatible software there is little we can do to remedy the situation. I can say, however, that most video game distributers release patches to combat these incompatibilty issues. Additionaly, to my knowledge I have been informed that Microsoft is trying to make updates and patches, as well, to help make the software work better together. Quality products and service is our highest priority, however, in situations such as these we have little control as to how or when these compatibility issues will be completly resolved. I ordered a custom built XG Action 6000 series notebook from buyxg..com last July, fuled primarily from the positive reviews from this site. Compared to other sellers this one had very high marks so I decided to go for it. I wanted to see how the laptop performed before posting a review on this site, so here goes.  
 
To start, internally, I have no problems with this laptop, it's worked perfectly from day one, and continues to do so for the 9 months I've owned it, so in that respect I'm very impressed. My only real issues are with the case, and trust me, there's quite a few of them.  
 
After selecting the colored case, I was informed that this would take an additional 6 weeks. During this time, the price dropped, and a quick email/call to customer service got the price reduced, no hassle at all, so that was very cool. The laptop ended up actually taking somewhere in the realm of 10 weeks because of the case. This wasn't really too big of an issue as I didn't need it immediately anyhow. However, for anyone considering doing the same: Don't. This is basically your standard grey colored case, with a thick (in my case, pink) enamel on it. Whoever painted it, PAINTED OVER THE SPEAKERS, and didn't bother to fully clean them out. Yeah, nice. It doesn't look particularly professional at all, probably not worth the extra $100 and super long wait. Still, overall it's wearing pretty well, with barely any nicks in the finish, so I suppose that's a saving grace.  
 
Within about a week or two, the facing for the built in, 1.3 mega pixel camera just.. fell off. Evidently it just wasn't glued (!?) on properly. I didn't bother to try to glue it myself, figured I might bugger something up. Happily, the camera still works, and is kinda handy. This was the first thing to go on the case, I should have realized something was wrong with the craftmanship.  
 
It's a little hard to see in the picture, but the touchpad isn't an under-mounted(framed), silky smooth surface like you see on most laptops. It's actually a somewhat textured silver rectangle with exposed edges. One of these edges started to lift up from the case within a couple months. Evidently it wasn't glued(!?) on properly either. It isn't hampering my mousing any, but still, I'm pretty certain it's bad news that it's trying to come off.  
 
Interesting note, when lifting the laptop, the flex causes the DVD tray to eject. I've never had a laptop that flexed before. It isn't good.  
 
The worst part of this case is the hinges. You'll note on the site's picture, they're kind of small. Two, half-inch sized hinges to support a 15.4 inch screen is probably begging for trouble to start with, but whatever. Within a couple months, a small crack started forming on the back side of the left hinge. Initially, I thought this was the crappy paint job splitting, and didn't pay it too much mind. I was wrong. Apparently, this laptop wasn't made to be opened and closed. The hinge had cracked, and started warping. I didn't realize how bad it had gotten until the crack split entirely across the hinge, and a chunk of the case came off, exposing the where the hinge was connected to the screen, which was now deformed beyond recognition.  
 
At this point, I contacted support by email, and they told me the warranty "didn't cover damage." When I responded to inform this person that the notebook wasn't dropped, bashed, or mis/manhandled in any way, that the hinge flexed itself into snapping by the mundane tasks of opening and closing, and that if a laptop cannot properly perform this function, then technically that would be a defect in the design, I got no response.  
 
Since then, the remaining bits of metal have ripped entirely, pulling loose the upper part of the case above the keyboard. My screen is now supported by one intact hinge, and a couple wires, and the screen is basically trying to open up. (if anyone wants to see a picture, let me know, I'll take one so you can see just how bad it is)  
 
I clearly need to have it repaired, but object strongly to having to pay to have fixed something that was obviously not up to par to begin with. I'm careful with my stuff, I can't afford to beat up something that cost me $1200+. I also object to the dismissive tone of the email I recieved, it was like they didn't even really read what I said, bonus for not responding when I attempted to make myself as clear as possible. Having read the reviews of people here, I see I also have nothing but JOY and SUNSHINE waiting for me in terms of dealing with the returns department.  
 
I really want to love my laptop, I do. But I can't recommend a company with such crappy craftsmanship. I definitely wouldn't use this company again, and really hope my bad experience will make you shop elsewhere, proving that things can go wrong where you'd least expect.

*Edit 06-06-07: Was just contacted by customer service regarding the hinge. They offered to pay half the repair cost. I kind of feel like they should cover all of it, but not going to push my luck, this was a lot better than being told that they "don't cover damage".
