I do not have an invoice #, but I do have a tracking #. Modchipman hasnt failed me yet. They took my broke wii and fixed it without a problem. Only 55$!! Custermer support was great- they contacted me through aol instant message. how awsome is that!

I sent in my sons xbox 360 system for the 3 red light fix on February 20, 2007. Modchipman.com still have my system unfixed and they banned me from their online irc channel, since I told them that I will tell others about how they "tried" to rip me off. I say tried since I will see them in court for the price of my system and what they charged my credit card for in August. The company is actually called E.B.S. Inc. Buyer beware of this company.

I ordered two wiinja chips and a triwing driver. Experience from beginning to end was great. I got help by talking to the friendly staff at modchipman on selecting the best chip for my situation and it was shipped out quickly and installed flawlessly. I will, and always have, highly recommend this store to anyone that asks me about console modifications!

I have had a good experience with this company in the past, but this last one has been absolutely ridiculous. They charged me in direct violation from their published policy (before they had product to ship), and now are giving me the run around in trying to cancel my order (they still do not have product). Basically, I've been out of $150 for more than two weeks with nothing to show for it.

Runaround when you tried to cancel? You ask us to cancel, we cancel your order, and we refund your money. We've never given anyone the runaround when they wish to cancel.  
 
You asked us to cancel on the 5th of november through email ticket, your order was cancelled/refunded on the 6th at 11am.  
 
And if you check our 'policies', they state that we reserve the right to charge you a few days prior to shipping in order to speed up the process.

Ordering and order processing was very good -- it even arrived a day early. Unfortunately, my positive experience ended there.  
 
They sent me the wrong item (an EZPass, I ordered an EZPass 3). They claimed they no long sold the EZPass, which is still for sale on their site as of this posting. The customer service agent was insulting and combative through the entire process. He only agreed to deal with me after I contacted my credit card company for a chargeback.

Unfortunately this is a large misunderstanding as to how things occurred.  
 
The product you mistakenly received is something we no longer really stock, and is more of an on order type product, that is why it was quite odd that you received this in error, and that is why we had to investigate our stock situation on OUR side, so it took a day or two to figure this out, but in the meantime, I told Rick to do an RMA and unfortunately you perceived the RMA suggestion as a surrender to your chargeback threat, which is not the case.  
 
Sorry for any problems, but we DID issue an RMA, and you've refused that and stated that you'll initiate a chargeback, which can take time and effort on both parties behalves. An RMA is easy, gets things taken care of faster, and would get you your product in a timely manner.  
 
why not just do the RMA? we screwed up, we're trying to fix it... but you're not willing to cooperate

big delay with customs in Indiana as the store claims, overall customer service is good and convenient, disapointed that no phone support is available.  
 
Do not expect professional service from the agents, Kfree if full of lies and has twisted my review and logged tickets beyond belief of any respect. I'm not going to post the full review because they will just rebuttle again. Don't buy here if you're looking for service, cheap prices, great selection, shitty service, what can ya do. Thanks for losing me and all my DS owning buddies as customers, you won't see my account active anymore. good job buddy ;)  
 
*update* I have had a previous problem with Xecuter modchip in the past where they let one model version slip through their product line and it did not properly fit my system, luckily I have a father who's good in electronics and fixed it up.  
 
For the record, the admin Kfree, who replied to my complaint ticket, has promised to modify thier rating if I modified mine but obviously they lied and haven't done anything about it.  
 
Awful obnoxious customer service from them.

Customer was insisting on tracking # for the package that was held in customs (still is, actually), and we refused to give it to him (privacy issues). He did not believe it was a customs issue. As if we like to hold products out of stock to upset customers? That package is still in customs, we had to order another shipment to get our customers their products.  
 
Be impressed, that your product was shipped ASAP, you've received numerous updates on its tracking, and you've had no problems with the ordering system. Unfortunately there was a delay in the stock, and it was unforseen by us and yourself.. customs sometimes holds packages indefinitely.. so instead of being ignorant, we were proactive and ORDERED MORE stock so that our customers were able to get their products as fast as possible.  
 
be impressed... you'll rarely see anyone care as much as modchipman about the wellbeing of our customers and their orders.. we were CREATED by people who were screwed over by bad mod companies.. we make sure our customers get what they ask for, as fast as we can physically get it to them. :)  
 
** UPDATE **  
 
not sure what the customer is implying that we've lied or 'twisted the truth'.. that's the #1 reason we log all customer support tickets and questions, because sometimes customers get upset for no reason and tend to think things were stated or weren't stated, so we make sure we have proof. We don't change our text, we have no reason to do so. Why would we bend the truth on someone who wants to cancel? Nothing negative was stated in the customer ticket, he was very dissatisfied with the order in customs, (the shipment coming to us).. and we offered a cancellation.. he took it the wrong way and there you have it. Hopefully he's calmed down and realized we didn't mean anything bad by offering a cancellation.. we were merely attempting to resolve a problem. cheers

I ordered a pre-mod XBox over a month ago. When it arrived, the system was defective out of the box and had to be sent in for RMA.  
 
The stated maximum turn around on an RMA is 5 days, it has been 7 so far. Support has been helpful but is unable to tell me the status of the repair or when I might expect to receive my system.  
 
In the future, I would avoid purchasing a pre-mod system from Modchipman.  
 
UPDATE:  
After filing a dispute with my credit card company, I was contacted by "Luke" who said he had repaired my Xbox. He accused me of attempting to defraud their company and threatened to call the postal inspector and my local police if I did not cancel the credit chargeback.

odd thing is, brandon high asks for us to fix his console, then does a chargeback, then we contact him asking if he wants his system, he says yes, but then changes his mind 3 days later, back and forth, back and forth, and now is refusing to return the rest of his order (he's done a chargeback, yet he refuses to return the rest of the products he's purchased.. its called credit card fraud)  
 
people like mr high are a nuisance yet we've tried to accomodate him in every aspect, and he refuses to relent. be aware of customers like mr high because he's the customer that bought something on an impulse, feels bad about it, wants to return it without any repercussions, and refuses to cooperate.

modchipman was excellent. I placed an online order July 2nd in the AM, the order was SHIPPED the same day, and had it not been for the fourth of july, I would have received it in two business days. I was very pleased that my product arrived working, and that modchipman shipped it promptly.

The tech support for this site is almost nonexistent and laughable. I ordered a premodded Xbox from modchipman.com, and it did not work correctly. It would not turn off once it was plugged in and powered on, and the DVD drive would not stay closed. One of their technicians wired the mod chip incorrectly and didn’t test the XBOX properly or at all. It should have been immediately noticeable that the XBOX would not turn off.  
 
I should have learned my lesson when I ordered a Xecuter 2.6 chip, and it also didn’t work. Now I have a dead Xecuter chip, and an XBOX that does not work properly.  
 
After a week of week of submitting logs, I was told to email admin@modchipman.com to obtain RMA information so I could return the XBOX. I emailed for a week, but to no avail. I finally had to find a phone number for the company. After repeated calls over many days, I was told to return the XBOX to the address listed on the package the box came in. How frustrating!  
 
Furthermore, I was not given any RMA number or a tracking numbers to track the status of my returned XBOX or replacement XBOX. I will never do business with this company again. Currently, I still have no XBOX, and I am out $220.  
 
Additionally, they can’t even keep their website up. They lost all of their March orders and new customer information. An online business needs to act better then this to survive. The only reason they have fast shipping is because they use FEDEX. FEDEX has a long tradition of speed and service, and modchipman.com should not be praised for another company’s good traits.  
 
 
RESPONSE TO MODCHIPMAN REPLY  
This is in reference to ORDER # 29337  
 
I received my premodded XBOX on March 23. It did not work properly. I submitted a help ticket on March 24 for assistance, and I did not receive a reply till March 31. On April 1, I was told to send an email to admin@modchipman.com  
 
I sent an email on April 1, and I did not receive a reply. I sent another email on April 4, and I still did not receive a reply.  
 
After a couple more days, I found a phone number to your company. I called the number, and I was told that someone would send me an email with information. An email was never received. I called again, and I was told to submit another help ticket. This was not necessary since I already was told to ask for RMA information. I called again, and I was told I would receive a phone call. I never received a phone call. After several days and more phone calls, I was told to send the package back to the address listed on the box, and I was told to insert a letter detailing the problem. This is extremely frustrating.  
 
I was NOT issued an RMA. I had to fight to get information on how to return my Xbox.  
 
I understand issues can occur in shipping, but the error on my premodded Xbox can only occur by an incorrectly wired Modchip. I also understand tech support takes time, but I do not appreciate being run around by emails or on the phone.  
 
You received my returned premodded Xbox on April 11, and I still haven’t heard anything about its status. It is now April 20. I ordered the Xbox on March 23, and I still do not have a working Xbox. Receiving a broken system fast does not qualify as good service.  
 
UPDATE 5/4/2005  
Modchipman must be friggin retarded. I finally received my supposedly fixed premodded XBOX. But guess what. No power cord or audio/video cable. Thank You Modchipman for keeping your head up your ….

I think overall your situation would be considsered 'tech support'.. after going through a series of technical troubleshooting, we issued you an RMA.. would it make you feel very comfortable if we assigned an actual # to your rma? because although we don't give an actual rma #, we track rma's via order #, same deal, really.  
 
yeah our site went down, and we've notified every customer about it, and it doesn't seem like anyone else is upset about it, since we've gotten them all taken care of, not sure why you find that we've done you a disservice.  
 
we'll take care of your premod, and you'll get it back fully functional, we test our systems for 24-48 hours before shipping, so if anything occured that would cause problems, it might have occurred during shipment.  
 
your insults towards our speediness are pretty incorrect, you can check around and realize that we're the fastest shippers around.. fedex only handles the package once we ship.. so although you're assumptions are that fedex does modchipmans work, you probably should realize we ship faster than most companies.. rest assured your system will be taken care of

Purchased Premodded PS2 slim with DMS4 Pro and accessory pack (extra controller and memory card). I was surprised, but excited that two days later on 04/04/05 my order had already shipped. This was surprising given the fact that the site states that it througly tests the consoles before shipping and that it takes several days to do that. 04/07/05 I received the console.  
Low and behold, it didnt work! I previously had a PS2 mod'ed by modchipman.com so I was confident that I would receive a working console that had been checked for functionality. I tried putting in games that I had used with my previously modded ps2 with DMS3 chip, but none worked. All I get is the red screen asking for a game to be inserted. I tried putting in an original game and that worked...for 2 minutes, then the screen went black, no the PS2 doesnt even turn on!!!! Needless to say I'm pissed, especially since there appears to be no way to contact them about this other than these chat/forums posting thing.  
Anyone with contact info for them please let me know because I need to get this fixed now!!!

In addition, after sending emails I got a reply back from the store...apparently I needed to flash the chip before it would work...this was their answer even though I kept saying that it did not even play ORIGINAL GAMES or even boot...guess what though...the system does not even boot anything so how could I flash it?  
Im waiting on a reply from them concerning getting my money back. Im ready to ship this thing back and get my money back NOW.

as far as your system, you have to flash it before it will play originals and backups, I can not stress to you how important this is.. we're not lying.. this is how these systems work.. if you've tried this, please let us know.. we will investigate the matter furter

I recently ordered a premodded XBox. I got the new xbox, accessory kit, X3 chip, and pro-switch. Very fast service, I put in the order on Friday, and received everything on wednesday.  
 
BUT... Got the XBox out and turned it on, and the chip doesn't seem to be working. Took case off, to notice that the circuit board wasn't seated well to the motherboard. THe lights started working on the pro-switch, but when i try to boot to the chip, all I get is a black screen. Put in a ticket and it took them about a week to even respond to me. That is just BAD customer service. And the only suggestion i got was to try and boot off the backup rom! The xbox wasn't booting at all, and I tried every combination.  
 
Luckily I took the xbox apart, traced every connection, and got it working myself NO THANKS TO MODCHIPMAN...  
 
Again, It came very fast, and it was exactly what i ordered, but was DOA and ZERO customer support.
