I ordered a cell phone accessory from RPI Wireless and paid $35.98 through my PayPal account. I received an order confirmation email, but never received the product. Now I can't reach them by email and the website www.rpiwireless.com is no longer valid. I filed a complaint with PayPal, who decided in my favor because RPI Wireless never responded to the attempts to contact them. Unfortunately, since they already received my money, PayPal can only get my money back if they have funds in their PayPal account. I also reported them to the Better Business Bureau, who attempted to contact them and have had no response. I just want my money back. This experience has made me very wary about purchasing items on the internet...after all, I thought that by paying with PayPal, I was being safe!

10/25/06:
I should have looked here first.
Unresponsive to emails, you can't call them as you *always* have to leave a message and can't talk to a live person.
Ordered an in-stock item, paid for overnight shipping... order is still showing only as processed on website and not shipped.
*UPDATE 11/02/16*
Still no response from any emails sent to them, nor any return phone calls from messages left (which by the way.. how do you run a customer service center if you have to leave a message every time?).
Package arrived today. So much for over-night shipping. Cable looks used and worn. CD called 'Mobile Tools' is scratched and unreadable. Sent another email to 'customer service' and left yet *another* message at 'customer service'. Doubt I'll get a reply.

I hate to say it...live & learn! I was told about this site by a friend who evidently has never had any need for customer service...lucky for him cuz there is none. I had tried to purchase a charging data cable for my cellphone..got an email from Robert Valentine assuring me they would refund my shipping charges as it was advertised on their site. He very graciously did so. Got my cble about 4 weeks later without any instructions and the cd didn't seem to work. I tried numerous times to contact by phone and email anyone from this company with no luck...even Mr Robert Valentine wouldn't return my emails! I had given them their money and thats where the contact stopped. So I am sitting here with a charging data cable that I have no idea how to use. Thank you very much for the $25.00 of BUYER BEWARE Mr Robert Valen-Crime ! If I had only found this site before I had purchased.

Unfortunately, I discovered this site after I made my purchase from RPI Wireless. This was by far the absolute worst purchasing experience I've ever had. I bought a LG VX 8100 USB cable on 2/28 and promptly received 4 automatic emails.
Over the next few days I kept checking my order detail page on RPI's website to get the tracking number which didn't appear after several days. So I emailed their customer support... and got no reply. So I tried calling them and their automated system promptly said, "Thank you for calling. Goodbye." it was then that I first thought, "Uh oh, who did I just give $30 to?"
I sent emails to every single email address I could find on their site and called their sales phone number, all with no reply. That's when I first did some research on the company and discovered what a huge majority of people had a bad experience.
I began looking into my options and considered calling my credit card company to issue a charge back. However, I saw a couple of people who said that they eventually got their packages after a few weeks even though they got incredibly bad customer service. So I waited and a week later got an email that gave me a tracking number which I checked with USPS only to discover that it doesn't mean the package was actually shipped.
So I waited a little while longer and today I finally got my cable which actually works, even though the installation CD is the most unprofessional looking thing I've ever seen.
The experience has taught me that the internet is still not a totally safe place to purchase something. RPI Wireless is absolutely the worst business I've ever seen. Their customer service is not just bad, it's non-existent and the company is borderline fraudulent. I'd sooner purchase a Rolex from some guy on the street than purchase from RPI Wireless again. This company should be shut down... now!

Vendor did not respond to 12 email messages sent to three different departments.
Credit Card was charged two weeks prior to product shipment.
Imposible to contact by phone.
Seems there may be one person running this snake oil show.

I believe that RPIWireless is a fraudulent company. I have waited 33 days for delivery.
RpiWireless claims to have sent the item via USPS mail. That only means that the POSTAGE was bought.
USPS received a tracking number that can't be tracked even by USPS.
This makes RPIWireless and USPS worthless in my opinion.

Same bad experience as everyone else. But, I purchased via credit card through 2CO.com, and THEY are VERY helpful. They sent RPI an email telling them to give me a valid tracking number within 48 hours or they, 2CO.com, would refund my money.
Am waiting to see what happens.

I only wish I had visited this forum befor ordering. I own six internet stores and have never had a problem ordering from any online merchant before now. I got a USPS tracking number 3 days after placing order. 10 days later Postal Service says they never received any package from vendor. Phone numbers are endless loops, email response is noexistent. I certain American Express will eventually dismiss the charge, but it is sad that a website like this is allowed to exist.

After waiting for over a month to receive a sync cable for my Samsung phone I began to inquire about my shipment. I tried to contact RPI Wireless's telephone customer service but was given an automated run-a-round that always ended in an abrupt hang-up. I immediately began to suspect fraud and began a little on-line investigation of RPI Wireless. Luckily, I stumbled upon RessellerRatings.com and began reading through the multitude of negative comments from other consumers who had been ripped off by RPI Wireless. Thanks to ResellerRatings.com I was now aware that I had been cheated and immediately filed a fraud report with PayPal, the on-line payment service which I had used to purchase the product. Within thirty days PayPal contacted me vie e-mail notifying me that they had decided in my favor as well as recovered and reimbursed the total RPI Wireless charge back to my PayPal account! Thank you ResellerRatings.com and PayPal!

As all others experienced, I was ripped off by this company. I received a blank CD-R instead of the promised software I ordered (for LG VX6100). No reply to emails query, dead loop in phone answering system.
