I ordered 2 panasonic plasma and never received the order. They charged my credit card immediate but they never shipped my panels. The sales person, cambryn, was polite, but incompetent. They do not answer their calls or make you wait at least 45 minutes. Buyers beware!!!

Wow my experience has been very similar to the rest. I wish I knew of this web site prior to ordering with TV Authority I too trusted the recommendations from other trusted sites (Big Mistake). I ordered my TV 1/19/2007 today is 2/15/2007 and guess what? My shipping status is still pending! The only difference is that now nobody is answering the phones nor responding to e mails. Phone calls are routed directly to voice mail with a promise of a return call within 24 hours I personally have left messages both voice and email and have not yet heard back in either forum. This really without a doubt is the absolute worst shopping experience internet or otherwise I have ever had. I strongly recommend you shop elsewhere.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEB SITE! I BEG YOU, PLEASE TRUST ME! I have left endless amount of messags on the answering machine, and not once did anyone return my call. In addition I have called over a dozen times and each time been on hold to speak to someone between 30-45 mins. Then when you do actually get a hold of someone(Tico, Toi, Cambryn,I think I spoke to everyone there except James the Manager)you get told information that is false. They say they will take care of things right away and they don't. James was supposedly taking care of my shipment right away and nothing happened. They promise they will call you and not once did I ever get a call from anyone of them. Not even James. I placed an order in Jan and was suppose to received the 42' plasma flat screen between Feb 2nd - Feb 6th. Still to date I have not received the product. I called and spoke to a rep on Saturday Feb 10th and he promised me that I would get the Plasma TV by Wednesday Feb 13th. Still waiting and I got no confirmation. I got so sick of their crap that today I called spoke to Tori and canceled the order. I waited on the phone while I got the cancellation email from her. I will never ever do business with this company. I am suppose to get my refund 5-7 business days... lets see how that goes. And just to think that people at my work were all waiting for me to receive my TV and then they were going to order... about 8 of them at that too... I will make sure that no one orders form TV Authority,I would never wish for them to go through what I have. I will be filling a complaint to the BBB as well. This company should be shut down, I have no idea how it is still in business. PLEASE TRUST ME and stay away from it. DO NOT MAKE ANY PURCHASE WITH THEM, NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE PRICE MAYBE. THE STRESS AND TIME IS NOT WORTH IT. TRUST ME!!!! KP

Order was for a $6,000 Benq W10000 DLP Projector on 12/9/06. Was told unit would be delivered within a week. Never happened. Response was that they were out of stock. Guy I dealt with, Brian Meserve, seemd very nice and communicated reasonably well. I was told my AMEX would be credited within 3 -5 business days. This never happend. Had to file claim dispute to get this resolved, finally on Jan 31, 2007, well over a month later. Conclusion: TVAuthority has a great looking website, and friendly customer interface, but the organization behind the scenes is poorly run and not worth doing business with.

I purchased a SAMSUNG, HP-S5053 I was told it would ship in 3 to 5 days. When I called to get a ship date I was on hold forever and was even connected to another individual looking for his tv. As soon as customer service knows you are looking for your tv they stick you on hold and avoid you. I was given a tracking number and called the company (pittOHIO) and this tracking number was not a valid number with them. I cancelled the order with my credit card company, and I would not reccomend this company to anyone.

Lazy or just stupid, I can't figure out what these people are. Customer service is HORRIBLE. There is no reason to wait on hold for up to an hour to have your call transfered around by incompetent people. Shipping delays are terrible and you will not receive information from anyone at TV Authority. I would not EVER buy from them again, nor would I advise anyone to. Pay the extra money and go with another seller. HORRIBLE SELLER ALERT!

Total scam. They had no problem charging my card within minutes of me calling, but my refund has taken over a month to process. Had to charge it back, now I have to wait another month. What a joke of a company. I have loved waiting on hold for over an hour when I call every week.

DO NOT ORDER FROM TVAUTHORITY!  
 
I placed an order on 12/6/06 for a 56" Samsung DLP TV. Credit Card was charged a few days later, even though they are SUPPOSED TO CHARGE YOUR CARD ONLY WHEN THE SET SHIPS. But if this was the case, they'd never charge your card because THEY NEVER PLAN ON SHIPPING. I waited a month and a half on a set that was supposedly "IN-STOCK" when I ordered. After getting the runaround numerous times and waiting hours on hold for customer service, I canceled my order on January 24. I almost didnt get my set in time for the superbowl, but luckily onecall.com was professional and delivered.  
 
 
PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM TVAUTHORITY! THE MONEY "SAVED" IS NOT WORTH THE HEADACHES!!!!!

I've read a lot of terrible reviews for this company, but the TV I ordered was more than $500 cheaper than at BB and CC, plus I didn't have to pay shipping or sales tax. Needless to say I decided to give them a shot and they did exactly as promised- they delievered my TV 10-12 business days after I ordered it. My only complaint is that it was impossible to get anyone to answer any questions, until I threatened to cancel my order. I would have liked to have had a little more information on what exactly is going on with my $1500+ purchase, but for the price, sitting in the dark for about a week was well worth it in the end. I would recommend this site and use it in the future, you just have to realize that you're not buying from a big box store. The customer service reflects it, but in the end I find the price to be more important.

The seller is very hard to contact. Charged the order to my credit card on the 1/11/07 finally received the unit today 2/2/07. I received good customer service after the owner Neil got involved. The people I spoke to once I was finally able to get through on the phone (8 attempts) promised folow through but failed to deliver results. The unit itself looked new and not refurbished and works but looks to have been opened before I received it. The price was good. I would rate the service at the lowest scale. It would be wise to shop elsewhere if you have average patience. Any savings benefit was offset by the worries as to whether the seller would actually deliver. I had already called AMEX to dispute the charge, but later retracted it once I received a shipping notification on the 30th (19 days after they charged my card).

The bottom line is, DO NOT purchase anything from TVAuthority EVER. They are perhaps one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with, its amazing that they are still in business. I ordered a TV from them and was given a delivery window over 3 weeks away. On the last day of my window I finally got through to customer service (40 minute hold time). I was told that they weren't going to be able to meet the delivery window but rescheduled it for a few days later. They never contacted me to let me know that they weren't going to hit the original delivery window. Once the second delivery time had come and passed and my oder status was still "shipping pending" I canceled my order. This was over 2 weeks ago. hey still haven't refunded my credit card. Their company policy states to allow 5-7 business days for a refund, it has now been 14 business days and still no word on my refund. Brian Meserve, my sales rep, never responds to emails, never answers his phone, and never returns phone calls. He also lied to me on multiple occasions telling me that he was "working on getting my order shipped" and also he was "working on getting my refund". But my 1700 dollars is still MIA. Also James, james@tvauthority.com, is supposedly the customer service manager, he never responds to emails either. The whole company is a sham. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, and I disputed the charge with my credit card company and filed a fraud complaint. DO NOT do business with TVAuthority, their prices look good, but it doesn't matter if you never get your products. Stay away from TVAuthority.  
 
James actually got back in touch with me shortly after I posted this review(spoke to soon about James). He actually helped me, the only one to do so at TVAuthority. He got my credit card refunded promptly. I thought that I should make this point known.  
 
You should still avoid TVAuthority however, it was a complete disappointment and hassle dealing with them.

DO NOT BUY FROM TV AUTHORITY!!!!! I can't make this anymore clear. The only prompt thing they do is charge your credit card. I ordered a TV on Jan 15th over the phone and specifically spelled out names and addresses in the billing and shipping. The only time the salesperson repeated anything back to me was my credit card number. When my invoice came on email the only thing correct was my credit card number. The shipping and billing addresses were wrong!  
The real frustration came when I tried to contact them to get this corrected. After hours spent on hold, several emails, and hours waiting for their online chat to answer I was unable to get ahold of them for two plus weeks. Customer service is non-existant.  
After I threatened legal action only then did Tico send me a "feel good" email telling me my TV was behind schedule. He wasn't even concerned about getting the shipping address corrected. I seriously hope he dies in fire.  
Now is just hope the BBB can do something about getting either my TV or my money back to me.

Do not go anywhere near this company. It's a scam to collect interest on your money for several months. After purchasing a plasma tv on Nov. 28 from Stephanie my credit card was charged two days later. Shipment was never made. Calling customer service you will wait a minimum of 30-40 minutes. Toi took my call and made up excuses. Two weeks after the shipment date it was apparent they had no intentions of shipping the plasma tv. I cancelled my order on Dec 18. The company refused to refund my credit card until the credit card company protested the tranaction. Jan 31 the amount was finally credited. My worst nightmare and a lot of wasted time and stress.

CRIMINALS!!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! My boyfriend and I ordered a TV for his son for Christmas and received the same treatment as everyone else listed below. The order status was always pending and no one could tell us when to expect delivery. But they certainly had no problem charging his card immediately!!!! We have filed reports with the BBB and cancelled the order but still have NOT RECEIVED A REFUND!!! This company, if it really is a company should be prosecuted and possibly will be!
