I had some problems in the begining with this company, some miscommunications really. They handled the miscommunication excellently. I got my item even faster that I had expected and they were EXTREMELY nice and helpful on the phone. I highly recommend them, because even if something goes wrong, they will try thier absolute hardest to fix it and keep your business.

Excellent company to deal with. I received a phone call from them after I placed my order; I expected them to try and sell me accesories, they did none of this. The gentleman just confirmed my order and said I would receive an email shortly with tracking info.  
 
I paid for 6-8 day shipping, ended up receiving the order after only 4 days. They even included a free cleaning kit.

Honest, straightforward, dependable, and reliable. Communication is spot on, and pricing is the best I can find. You are dealing with a "REAL" store, with a good reputation. A solid recommend all around. Prices. Delivery. Service. Just perfect.  

Negative experience. They sell gray market products not intended for sales in US, as has been confirmed by the UPC code, the unrecognized registration number on the box and camera, the disks that came in the box, and the lack of a registration card. Because gray market products are not intended for sale in the US, Nikon won't register or support them. In addition, cords, plugs, and software may not work/can cause damage.  
 
42 Street Photo sellers use the excuse of confirming the credit card number to make contact and push overpriced accessories. They also overcharge for shipping, and some employees go by different names (Junior, John). Sales Reps use pressure tactics, mislead and lie about merchandise and pricing - then they repeatedly contact customers to get them to delete on-line negative merchant ratings. It is clear that some of positive comments are 'padding' and are posted by store employees or associates of employees. This merchant gets a lot of business through Amazon.com.  
 
The Nikon package advertised on-line was not what I received. (One lens was different.) It was not what I ordered, or wanted.  
 
The only charge on my new credit card was the camera. But immediately after posting an on-line negative comment about questionable business practices, bogus overseas charges began appearing on my card. I've never been overseas. And I'm very careful about security and credit card numbers. My bank blocked those charges. But potential customers should be aware. I didn't have problems when I'd gotten items from them through Amazon, but when dealing directly with them it's a different reality. They are very adept at what they do and how they do it, and appear 'pleasant and polite' for a reason. It's a hook. I will never do business with them again.

kudos to 42 photo who delivered my order on time and in perfect condition!!! The person I spoke with as I placed my order was knowledgeable and very helpful with all my questions that I needed answered. He saved me a lot of money by recommending me on the items I needed to get with my camera. That's great and honest service. I will be a returning customer.
