I just purchased a canon 24-105 IS USM from 42nd st in New York.
I spoke with their salesman Ralph. I was undecided between them and B&H. I's so happy I went with 42nd steet photo. I will recomend them to any one that asks me what site should they buy from. A++ service from 42nd street photo. I would definitely order from them again and would recommend them highly to friends and family. I am from Sweden so it really was smooth and easy to deal with them over the phone. They were very friendly and helpful and answered all of my questions that i had regarding my purchase of my camera. Thank you 42nd Street Photo for having the best service and the best price around. The package arrived in pefrect condition and everything was brand new as promised by my salesman. he even thru in a free cleaning kit for my camera. Thank you for everything.

Over the past couple of years i have purchased several photographic products from your company. Each time I have spoken to the same sales person, Adam. I want to tell you that I have never dealt with a more pleasant or proficient salesperson. He has been very knowledgeable of the products, courteous and professional in every transaction. The products received ahead of promised dates in every instance. The quality of your products and support is first class. Your prices are very competitive, and even when they are a few dollars more, due to the excellent performance of 42nd Street Photo, and particularly Adam, I now look only to 42nd Street when in need of additional photo supplies. I made a big mistake ordering a Canon EOS 40D kit from 42nd Photo. They are posting a price that is not even a US warranty and you have to add a $10.00 to get the US warranty. And when you go to their website it doesn't indicate if it is US or Canadian warranty. And they are pushy about getting some more products from them. I don't like their customer service. SCAMMMMMMMMMMM

I first would like to say thank you for 42nd street photo for delivering the product just as they said they would in a timely matter and in perfect condition. Their staff and customer service were extrememley helpful the whole way thru my purchase. They provided me with a total of my order before the converstaion was over, and even gave me a discounted package price. they shipped out my order express as promised, and it arrived three business days later in California. I could not believe my eyes. I found the people working for 42nd Stret Photo to be helpful and knowledgeable about their products. I would purchase from them in the future.

What a GREAT merchant 42nd Street Photo is. I highly recommend them to others who want to save big bucks in the United States or across the world. I placed an order over the phone with a young fellow named Junior. He then took all my information and shipped out everything that i ordered the same day the order was given. I then received my package 4 business days later. I suggest you purchase from them as well, we need to support stand up businesses on the net like 42nd street photo. When you add outstanding turnaround and support, this company easily becomes the best value. A+ & two thumbs up. GREAT Service. Thank you, Junior, I will see you when i come to New York

I just wanted to write and thank you guys for a very pleasant transaction! I spent a lot of time looking around before I chose 42 Street Photo. This has also been the 2nd purchase i am making with this company. This was a very expensive transaction for me so i made sure to choose the right company and the right price. I was surprised how quickly everything arrived...it was all carefully packed and exactly what I purchased. The price was great and so was the service. Thanks again for making me smile today...now it's time to go and learn how to use all of this stuff!

I ordered a Nikon D300. Worst experience I've ever had with vendor. They were hard sell, misleading, rude, and when I got the product it was a gray market camera, and the shipping charges were three times what the price on the website said it would be. The battery I ordered was not a Nikon battery, which is what I requested. The manager also lied to me when I asked him a direct question. It took numerous telephone calls and emails, and my being relentless, to finally get them to agree to credit my account with the full amount and not charge the 20% restocking fee they wanted to charge me. This is the most shady company I have ever dealt with. BUYER BEWARE!

Very good shopping experience here at 42nd street photo.com. From start to finish a nice gentleman (Jonathan) walked me thru my whole purchase. He also thru in a couple of extra bonuses on the side and no charge. They definitely deserve their trusted seller mark (a major reason that I ended up choosing this company). I would definitely recommend and do business with this company again. The customer service was really outstanding! They even followed up by email to make sure everything turned out alright a couple days later.
Edit: just read the other reviews about bad experience with this shop. I have to say that this is not a faked review! It was really the best online shopping experience I ever had. If possible deal with this guy Jonathan and he will sort any issue out for you.

These guys are great! Lighting fast shipping even on the weekends. I placed my order on Thursday and received it the following Monday. My order was correct and exactly as I expected. By far one of the best internet shopping experiences that I've ever had! They were the cheapest price on the web that i can find on my camera. I would highly recommend to friends and family, and will use them again. It was a SONY camera.

Just wanted to say thanks for the great service! Friendly voices on the phone and the right price for my purchase. I ordered a digital camera on a Monday about 3:30 PM your time in NY. UPS picked up about 5:00PM and was at my door 3 days later on Thursday around 1:30PM. Camera was brand new and ready to use. I will be calling again for more goods and HIGHLY recommend you to anybody who is hesitant about ordering over the net. By the way, my wife Michelle and I love the camera. Great Deal.

I placed an order with you over the phone and was given an order number as soon as we were finished. The order arrived here in CA. at approximately 11am 2 days later. I am in utter amazement. Thank you for using UPS, you did a terrific job at both keeping the product in stock and shipping the same-day to provide an overall quick and effortless order experience for me the customer. I truly appreciate the excellent customer service.Thank you very much for making it easy and pleasurable to do business with you. I will certainly visit you for any future photographic needs I may have.

I purchased a Canon 40D with the 17-85 IS USM lens, Canon battery, and CF card from Rafi. I was not prepared for the "hard sell" that followed. First, Rafi tried to get me to buy a more expensive battery of a brand I'd never heard of before. When I asked if that battery would be compatible with the Canon warranty, his response was "We've never had a problem before with these batteries". Not the answer to my question. Second, he pushed a different CF card than the one I wanted. I asked about the brand. Response - "Hey it's not a Mercedes Benz!". I stuck with my original choice. So, low marks for the non-helpful responses.
My items did arrive on time and as ordered. A tracking number was provided by email and I could track the progress of my shipment very easily.
When I inspected the items I receiced, the camera came with all documentation and accessories in new condition. The lens was a different story. The lens appeared to be new, but seemed to be repacked in its plastic bag. The warranty card was not the correct card and was in fact for a Canon 18-55 lens. I called Canon USA and they said some vendors repack lenses to create kits. Fair enough, but what about my warranty card. Canon advised requesting a replacement from the vendor, but just in case, keep the original sales receipt and the warranty will be honored. I emailed 42nd street, explained the situation and requested a new warranty card for my lens. It's been over a week and no response.
All my equipment is functioning just fine, but the sketchy warranty and purchasing experience soured me on this company.

Right after purchasing an EOS 1D Mark III, I fell upon 42nd Street photo on the net. To my relief and satisfaction the package came within 5 days by UPS earlier than i expected.. I received USA warranty product with all manufactor accessories included in it. Prices are great, order tracking is impecable, and delivery on time, I highly recommand this store...The person I was in contact with is Junior he was very helpful and courteous the whole way thru the order. Thanks again.

I must tell you of the GREATEST service I can ever remember receiving via the phone ordering process. Your firm exhibited to me exactly what it takes to be extremely successful. I spoke with your most courteous and helpful representative Martin several times before making the final decision to order my Canon camera. My discussions with Martin he assured me, that my package will arrive in 3 days and it arrive in only 2. I believed him and am certainly happy that i did. SUPER service all the way around. I definitely will order from you again and refer anyone that I may to you. Thanks again for the wonderful service. Keep up the great work. A well satisfied customer.

I ordered my camera on March 10th with 7-9 day free shipping. The order was not shipped/processed until I called in a week later on March 17th. I needed it for that weekend so I asked them to send in 3-day UPS. I come to find that they charged me $88 for shipping. What leads me to believe that they did so was b/c the Canon 5D I bought was priced at $2,699. It then went up in price by $50 to $2,750. The sales guy just added on the add'l $50 plus the cost of 3-day shipping to make-up for that price difference. Is this unethical or what?? I'm still trying to get my $50 difference back and no one will call me back or answer me directly. One guy gave me the excuse of...it was extra cost for insurance. Yet another guy said it costs $88 to ship 3-day which is a bunch of crap. Stay away from these guys! This review was modified by its author, fobbette, on
