These guys are really fast and reliable. After a terrible experience with buydig.com, I had a really great experience with chiefvalue.com. They had very competitive prices and shipped immediately. EXCELLENT PRODUCTS, PRICES AND SERVICE!!!

I bought 5 digital cameras by now from them, 4 delivered on time and with no problems. Straightforward website, plenty of info available, no pushy follow-up calls, Fedex tracking numbers and order confirmations in e-mails. The website can be accessed also to verify the status of your order in their system.  
On the 5-th camera I had a slight problem: they canceled my order saying the address doesn't verify with the credit card company, although I used the same card to buy a camera just 1 hour before and that transaction went well :) anyway, I called them back when I saw no e-mail in two days and they said the online system had a glitch. I reordered the item and was offered an upgrade to overnight delivery for free.  
Overall: good website, small prices, polite customer service, will continue to buy from them (in spite of the glitch).

Very bad customer experience!  
Credit card was charged, but order was cancelled. After credit card was charged the store decided to verify my information with american express and something didn't match (which is also surprise which I need to resolve), so they send me email to resolve the issue within 3 business days, but they cancelled the order the next business day and couldn't give explanation why.  
Buttom line: they charge money in advance, and cancel your order without working with customer.  
On top of that the representative I called wasn't helpfull at all: first one dropped the phone, second just said there is nothing he can do to help.  
Sure, I can create new order and start the process again, but I beleive the store and represntative should be more helpfull and responsive.

Purchase the Nomad MuVo Nx player; excellent service, price, delivery...would use this site again

I wish their selection were wider, but the experience was first-rate.

Bought a Tungsten C from them; the price was the best of all the places online, and I was able to reach them easily via phone before buying to ask a question about the rebate. I haven't had any problems with my Tungsten C, so I can't say I've really had to test chief value... but they were quick with the confirmation email, and it shipped the next business day (I ordered on a Sat.). They also sent the fedex tracking #, with a link to track it. I would definitely buy from them again.  
 
Oh, and if you're unsure because they don't have many ratings on this site, check out bizrate.com: 1000+ people say they basically rock.

I ordered an Olympus C-750 digital camera for my wife for Christmas. The order was placed 12/18 (Thu afternoon). With FedEx 2Day shipping, the order was guaranteed to arrive by 12/24 and it did, with a day to spare--the order shipped Fri 12/19 and arrived at my door Tue 12/23.  
 
The ordering process was smooth, the price easily $100 less than was available locally, and the feedback from the etailer was superb, with real-time status updates via web and email. The shopping cart and invoicing process is exactly like that of NewEgg.com; perhaps CV and NE are different divisions of the same company, or at least use the same software.  
 
My only quibble? The order was shipped 12/19, but I didn't get a tracking number until Sun 12/21. This is admittedly a minor annoyance at best, especially given that this occurred during the last weekend before Christmas.  
 
There were other etailers that had lower prices; the cheapest was about $100 less. Given that this was a $600 MSRP item, $350 seemed too good to be true. Subsequent research via Google, ResellerRatings and PriceGrabber seemed to confirm this (thanks, guys).  
 
CV did not have an extensive rating history on the ratings sites I visited, but what was there was generally very positive. Newsgroups had nothing negative to say, either.  
 
In conclusion: CV delivered what it promised, when it promised, without any aggravation whatever. The automated ordering system worked smoothly, and it kept me adequately informed throughout the process.  
 
I would buy from CV again, and will recommend them to my friends.
