I purchased a pair of shoes from Shoebuy in October. They were a little big. I had the shoes on my feet for just a few minutes to try them on and only walked around my carpeted living room. I assumed everything was okay b/c of Shoebuy.com's generous return policy. I sent the shoes back. They would not accept my return b/c they said the shoes had been worn. These shoes are exactly as they were when they were sent to me. I have called customer service twice. At first I assumed it was simply a mistake, but after the second conversation and seeing the reviews here, I now realize that this is how sb operates. They have indicated that they will give me a "second review" but I am not hopeful that I will get any satisfaction.
Actually, it seems odd that they wouldn't just replace the shoes b/c there wouldn't seem to be any additional cost with doing so as these shoes are in perfect condition and obviously resalable as new (which they are). This behavior on exchanges does not make any sense at all. Refusing to exchange perfectly good shoes only serves to make the customer unhappy and damage their reputation.
This company advertises that they have "free returns and exchanges" but they do not honor this policy. This seems to be a recurring theme on some of the reviews. I wish I would've seen these reviews prior to buying at sb. I certainly will NEVER purchase from them again and I advise you to avoid them. This review was modified by its author, osucowboy8, on

What a disappointment! I ordered a pair of K-Swiss Nido shoes from Shoebuy, hardly even wore them, a few months later, the tongue broke. I sent them in to "be reviewed for defect" although it was quite obvious that there was one...The Tongue Fell Off!! I have never had a pair of shoes that have done that, let alone after such little use. My shoes were sent back to me almost three weeks later with a torn in half piece of paper that said that is was rejected because the shoes had been worn. Duh! Of course they have been worn, I contacted them before I sent the shoes in and told them the problem. Shipping was not reimbursed, and what is even worse, when they sent the shoes back, they forgot the tongue! Now I can't even try to fix it myself! I have called customer service 3 times and have always talked to the same incredibly indifferent representative. I was told last week that a supervisor would contact me within 24 hours...still waiting... Called again this morning and got the same story. When I have to call next week again for the same thing it will only remind me one more emphatic time of what a big mistake it was to have ordered shoes from Shoebuy.com! Terrible Dealer! Doesn't stand behind product! Unorganized company! (Sometimes I wonder if the company is run by 1 woman who does everything in her basement as a side job) They may be good at first, but wait until you have to call in and need customer service. A true nightmare!

Never ever again would I buy from Shoebuy.com. I am alarmed that my experience is almost exactly the same as one reviewer of late August. Tried on a pair of shoes at home (for the few minutes it took to decide) they were never worn outside the home. They too, were returned as not in pristine condition. I can attest that they came in this condition the customer service there has been very unhelpful....

The shoes did not fit quite right after one walk around my carpeted living room. So I attempted to return them. Shoebuy sent them back saying they showed signs of wear. Ridiculous. I tried them on for all of one minute. Shoebuy's customer service was unhelpful and does not seem to care about customer satisfaction. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Easy website to navigate. Stride Rite shoes are an incredible deal on this site. Product was received 6 business days after placing order. FIRST it took me to place the same order twice before the even recieved it. Then the took 5 days to process my order. AND THE BEST PART the shipped my order with a MARYLAND ADDRESS TO MA! IT WAS SIGNED FOR BUY SOMEONE NOT ON MY MAILING OR SHIPPING ADDRESS. THATS UPS! AND SHOEBUY DOES NOT KNOW why this happened! DONT USE SHOEBUY. use zappos.com they are great and super fast! they may cost a little more but you get what you pay for!

This store scares me and I would never buy from them. I called customer service three times and each time they immediately placed me on hold. Each time, the SAME woman answered the phone. Do they not have other employees? The last time I called, she only placed me on hold for five minutes so I waited. I asked how soon they check their e-mails, because I had a price match that I thought would go fast. She acted annoyed and gave me an attitude. She or her boss checks e-mails and it takes 24-48 hours to verify a price match. That made me uncomfortable, so I cancelled within one hour of placing the order. They still billed my VISA. I called back today and I swear it's the SAME woman...her name is Geneva. If you are going to price match, just go to ZAPPOS. They have wonderful customer service and quick shipping.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! There is NO free return shipping. I ordered 2 pairs of shoes. They both DO NOT fit. I return one as soon as I got it. When I tried to return the other pair (which I received after the other pair was returned), I have to pay for it!! The women who I spoke to where unhelpfull. They would rather lose a custome (and possible returning customer) then to pay for what they state they will pay for.
I only wished I had read these complaint first.
Next time I will.

I placed on order for a pair of shoes almost a month ago. Shoebuy charged my PayPal account immediately, but I stil have not received the shoes. I e-mailed customer service twice, but received no response. Finally, I called and spoke with a woman who seemed completely disinterested. She said that they weren't sure whether the manufacturer was going to ship the shoes and that the shoes were no longer available on the Shoebuy website so they might be out of stock. She had no idea when they would get around to fulfilling my order. These guys have great prices, but other than that they're horrible! I definitely will not shop at Shoebuy again.

I bought a pair of New Balance M992 from them and the order came within a week. I had an excellent shopping experience with this company.

This was my first order from Shoebuy.com. I ordered a pair of Croc clogs for work and only paid $18.95 with free shipping. This was much cheaper than found any where else. The clogs were shipped the following day and arrived shortly thereafter. The clogs were exactly as advertised and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I can't speak for their customer service since I've had no issues to contact them over. I'd be willing to order from this company again.

I ordered 3 pairs of Merrell shoes from Shoebuy. I received them 4 days later directly from Merrell--and no shipping charge. It was a smooth transaction and I would buy from them again.

After almost four weeks I canceled the order. Customer service totally unresponsive.Three emails and three phone calls (including holding for almost 30 minutes). Do not buy from them.

I've ordered from SB in the past with little or no problems. It was extra nice for me because I have smaller feet, which means that 1) retail stores usually don't carry my size and 2) with SB's policies, I could compare sizes and find a good fit between sizes 6 and 7, which can vary widely between manufacturers.
However, I recently ordered 6 pairs of shoes, with the intent of keeping 3 or 4 (if they fit). These were ECCO shoes and have Euro sizing. I wasn't sure about sizing, so I ordered a "true" size and one size up in both styles (along with different colors). I was sent an email to call their "processing department", afterwhich I was told that I would only be allowed to return up to 3 pairs of shoes -- regardless of whether they fit or not. I asked about their FREE shipping and no hassle return policies that they so proudly promote and the response was that they reserve the right to change the policies. I cancelled the order in disgust.
Yes, the shoes were a good price, around $140 each after a 20% discount. However, I refuse to be forced into accepting shoes that may not fit.
Shoebuy has lost a long-time customer. I will check out shoes.com or Zappos, as mentioned by previous posters.

Great experience. Had the cheapest price I could find over any other store. Fast shipping! I would definately buy from them again and recommend to anyone looking for a good deal!
