I bought the Leupold VX-I 1-4x20mm Shotgun Scope because of the Dark Earth® anodized finish and the quality of Leupold scopes. It is for my AR-15/M4. It works perfect for 50-75 yard firing. It lowers down to a 1.5x view so you can use it for close range sights. Vision is clear, dials are smooth, and finish is good looking. I mounted it to Burris AR mount and is a perfect match. Mount is solid and looks a little bulky compared to the small scope but that is ok. Operations matters more to me. Scope looks good with my dark earth tan accessories. Not a perfect match but good enough considering Magpul, Tangodown, Vltor tans are not a perfect match either.

Optics planet is great. I know I can order with confidence from them. They carry all the brand names without brand name prices. The chat is great. You can talk to a customer rep without waiting on an email. But if you do email them I have never had to wait over 15 minutes for a reply. They really want to make the customer happy. Everyone one there are kind and sensitive to your needs and concerns. They are not afraid of asking what you like to do. They give you one one service. If an item is back-ordered and you want to cancel it, they will. Some places try to talk you into keeping it on order till the end of time just for a sale. To all of the staff at Optics planet. My order was delivered speedily and the emails with shipping and tracking information, etc. were good to have, so I knew what was going on with the order. I will return to Optics Planet again if I need a product that they sell. I bought the Alpen #352 7-21X40 binoculars so my wife could have her own pair for our upcoming Hawaii Vacation, so we could each leave our focus settings in place. Compared to my Wards 67-7-7140 binoculars that are 20 to 30 years old, the Alpen Binoculars have a brighter image. The rubber coating with finger and thumb slots is more comfortable to hold and probably provides more shock protection. The zoom lever tends to stick some when moved slowly causing a jerking motion instead of the smooth motion on the wards unit. The left lens focus adjustment is also very tight especially at the ends of its range causing a similar adjustment difficulty. The single top lens cover fits tightly if the binoculars are twisted open far enough, but very loose if mostly closed. This means that to get it to fit properly you will likely have to change your setting to make it fit tight and then have to readjust it next time you use them. The bottom covers fit ok. It would be better to have twist on or snap on covers like on a camera lens. The main focus knob works well. The case padding is a good idea, but somewhat thin. I would rather see a good zipper on the case instead of the Velcro, as it would be more secure if dropped. All things considered I would rate Optics Planet a 9 out of 10 and the Alpen #352 7-21X40 binoculars a 7 out of 10. I might have rated the binoculars lower, but they are the only ones that I found available in the 40mm lens format with a good zoom range. A good range can be found in the 50mm lens size, but they are too big and bulky to carry around easily, especially for my wife. I also found some in the 25mm lens size, but then you sacrifice brightness. It is too bad more 40mm zoom units are not available from other companies. As I have not used the binoculars much yet it is possible that the levers will loosen up some with use. I hope so.

The order itself was fine. The website was easy to use. I entered the prescription and it was right on. It took a while for my eyes to adjust, but that happens with any pair. If there is one blemish it's that I asked a sales rep if the Swiftkick prescription piece was compatible with Parole. He said yes. It turns out they are not. So I had to buy the swiftkick frame sooner than I was planning.

After returning a product that didn't fit my needs (ordered wrong item), I received the correct product pretty quickly. My only qualm with the order was the way the product options were setup. The radio buttons next to the items had prices listed and words like "included in price" next to some of them. Thus I thought a vital 'option' was included. Even the prices of the items added up to the total I was paying. All in all it still wasn't a bad deal but it wasn't the steal I thought it was. They need to rework their website a little. Be cautious when ordering an item with 'options'. Calling them before/while ordering may help.
