I purchased 2 dozen roses for my wife for our 30th anniversary. They arrived on the date promised. However when I opened the box I noticed that a couple of the roses were
looking a bit "droopy" i.e. instead of the "head" being straight up from the stem it was drooping, like a person with a bowed head. It had been hot out so I thought
they would perk up after I put them in water with the provided nutrient powder mixed in. I followed the instructions provided and had the roses
in the nutrient solution within 15-minutes of receiving the delivery.
Unfortunately it didn't help. The roses that were starting to droop continued to droop and got worse. Others soon joined the droopers and within four days they were looking pretty sad. On the fifth day after delivery we had to throw them all out.
8/21/05 Update
After I wrote the above review I called customer service and told them the problem. The sent me another 2 dozen roses without giving me any problems. I am upgrading my review for that reason. This review was modified by its author, vpdura, on

Flowers were not delivered on time, no notice or phone call. The back-up, guaranteed date for Mother's Day was Monday May 15th. By Wednesday I called them and complained. I was assured the flowers would be there that day. By Friday my Mom was sorely disappointed, as was I. I called again and had the order cancelled. Horrible experience. They didn't offer to do anything to make it right.

Three of the ten flowers I ordered for my mom came broken, they were probably damaged by the shipper and not Proflowers since the Proflowers packaging is very good. Regardless, Proflowers replaced the flowers without a problem. The replaced flowers came from a different shipper totally intact, no casualties. I would definitely use Proflowers again. Thanks for the good customer service Proflowers !!! This review was modified by its author, stubbbz, on

Ordered flowers for the woman for Valentine's day a few weeks in advance. They showed up on Valentine's day, looked great, and lasted as long as could be expected. No complaints, really.

Man--these guys are terrible. I wish I'd found this site before ordering. Like others, ordered Valentine's Day flowers that didn't show up until the 15h. When I called to complain, the first rep smashed the phone around while I was talking (I guess she didn't like the complaint) and hung up on me when I asked for a supervisor. Called back a second time, and the 2nd rep had "phone trouble" and I couldn't hear anything with him either. Are these people based in New York? Reminds me of one of those shady camera shops or something.
The day after V-Day though my wife did get flowers and they were actually pretty nice. But this company's pretty much a sham I think. I can't believe these supposedly reputable radio disc jockeys hawk their ads like they've used this company.
As others have written, regardless of what happens to your order, I don't think they issue credit at all. Debating if I want to charge back my card or take further action or just let it go.

I ordered flowers, balloons & chocolate from Pro flowers weeks before Valentines Day for my wife. Valentines Day comes and they did not deliver them. I even called twice during the day to confirm that everything was Ok and was assured that my gifts would be delivered. No delivery, no phone call, and no response to e-mail. Wife comes home disappointed, all her friends at work got flowers except herL Needless to say Valentines was ruined. Will not use this company again!

Ordered flowers for my wife, on 2/8. To be delivered on Valentine's Day. They were not delivered. Called Proflowers and was told it was UPS's fault for not delivering them. Next day contacted UPS and they said they had recevied intent to ship, but had not received the package. Called Proflowers again, and now it was the grower's fault. Everybody's fault but thiers. Only thing they could offer was to cancel my order.

I purchased flowers for my girlfriend for Valentine's day, 5 days in advance. ProFlowers sent me an email at 2:45pm on Valentine's Day saying that there was an error in order processing and that my gift would not be delivered. There's nothing like last minute notification that you're going to look like a jerk for forgetting to buy flowers on Valentine's day.

I have ordered from proflowers several times. Each time they delivered on time with excellent packaging and the flowers have been great. Very trustworthy, other places seem to intentionaly leave out 1 or 2 flowers with their order. I definitely recommend them.

They emailed me a 48hr promotion. Items were not on site. Once they added it back, the 48hr promotion was done and they would not honor it. I order two dozen petite roses in a free vase from teh Glenn Beck radio show. Shipping was horrible! $16. My wife get's teh flowers, has to assemble them herself. Pathetic. They are wilted and brown on the tips and never opened. Customer service will only replace with exact flowers. Takes them 5 emails to get it right. Then they are out of those and ship something else. It shows up on a Friday. Now they will be wilted by Monday when she wants to show them off to her coworkers. They ruined my wife's Valentine's day and cannot provide me with a better package or anything to satisfy me as a customer. Will never buy from them again.

To be fair, the flowers were delivered on time. So far, this is the only thing that I like about this service. First, long-stem my ***. I could find longer stems in my local White Hen rose selection. Second, the Vase was missing. Flowers didn't look nearly as fresh as advertised. The giddy cheerleaders on the phone at customer service were quite less than helpful, to say the very least.

Majority of flowers were older and already open.
Flowers were delivery in a box and had to be arranged and assembled by the recipient. Not what I would expect for a $100 order.
Glass vase offered with the 2 dozen roses was to small for the amount of roses and useless.
Postives: received an extra 6 roses (probably valentine's day promotion), received some extra greenery not expected, and delivery was on time during one of the busiest days of the year.
