Completely disappointed in the professionalism of this store. After placing my order  
AND paying extra money for a shipping tracking # after two weeks and no tv and no tracking information I call them up to find out that the tv I had ordered is on back order and currently unavailable. After speaking with them they did offer to a newer model AT AN ADDITONAL PRICE but they neglected to tell me it was a different size screen! Never will I ever place an order with them again as they have proven untrustworthy and misleading in their sales and show a serious lack of communication with their customers.

I called this company to ask a couple of questions regarding the Sony Bravia 52" LCD TV. Spoke to a man (don't remember his name) with a very distinct rough voice. After answering my questions, he quoted me a price of $350 above the internet price. He said that the additional money included shipping (reasonable) and a 5% insurance charge (unreasonable). I quickly got the impression that this was another "bait and switch" company after dealing with another online "retailer" that gave the same type of line. After telling him that I would think about it and hanging up the phone I called back. Got the same person on the line. I called back a 3rd time and again spoke with the same man. Is this some guy doing business out of his garage??? I have since cancelled the order and received the TV from a reputable dealer. The cost was a bit more but MUCH less hassle! Save the time and aggravation and purchase from a retailer with a good reputation. The positive reviews of this site are phony!

This is a SCAM! Website indicated LCD TV was in stock, my order was placed. They called to confirm credit card info and try to sell an extended warranty. When the LCD was not shipped, they said they were out of stock. But their website continued to say the LCD TV was in stock.

on february 25th i placed an order for a Sharp Aquos LC42D64U 42 inch 1080p LCD HDTV with Shop Digital Online after conferming with them that the product was in stock. on march 4th i contacted them because they had not taken payment and i wanted to know what the status was. the product had not shiped. i spoke to two reps. one said it would ship 24 to 28 from the last date mentioned, the other said a week from now. march 5th (today) i received an email msgs;

Shop Digital Online is a very dishonest store. After the ship date came and went, I received a e-mail saying that the delivery of a Samsung 50" was delayed 1-2 weeks. Calling them every week thereafter, they told me the same old story,- they would have it in one to two weeks. After about 8 weeks of the same, I finally cancelled the order. Reading other's review after the fact, I see that this has happened to many others. Their advertised price is much lower that the competitiors, but they just will not live up to their advertised prices. So bottom line is: don't waste your time,- shop somerwhere else

No satisfaction - had to cancel the order. Don't be fooled by the advertised low price - YOUR PROBLEMS HAVE JUST BEGUN! I ordered a new Sharp 42-inch LCD on 12/5/08. First surprise was that the posted total of $918 did not include a $20 discount code - it took a call to customer service to confirm. Next surprise is that the item went on backorder. I would call every 2 weeks and they would say the same thing - "looks like it will be another 1 to 2 weeks". Christmas comes and goes. NCAA football bowl games come and go. Superbowl comes and goes. Why would I need a TV anymore? Called today, they said the order was in however, they needed inform me that it is now reclassified as refurbished (Surprise #3) since they bought it from a company that went out of business and had the TV retested. I took some time to think about whether I wanted to proceed eventhough I started to get that rotten feeling in my stomach - like I'm being duped. I called back to proceed with the deal. During the re-total (Surprise #4) they informed me they needed to add 7% mandatory insurance. I asked why this was not on the published confirmation of the order which included the pricing? Sensing my angst Henry offered to upgrade my shipping (thereby assuring I have it within two and one-half months of my original purchase date) and upgrade the 2 ft HDMI cable to a 6 ft HDMI cable. I was sure the original enticement was a 6 ft cable but could not prove it (Surprise #5). I finally cancelled the order - enough is enough. I feel lucky to get out of the deal without losing money!

Read about their shipping insurance before you purchase anything from this company, or you will be mislead as we were!!!!  
On Monday December 29th, 2008 I went onto Shop Digital Online to purchase a 58" Panasonic Plasma TV for $2,365.00, with shipping the price came out to be $2,594.00. We felt that the price was the cheapest online that we could find. On Tuesday December 30, 2008 I read my email and was asked to contact this company. When I spoke with their customer service representative, he wanted to sell me the warranty for $500.00 which I denied, he then stated that he would cut the cost for (3) years down to $300.00. When I advised him that I just wanted him to ship the TV set to me, he told me that my price was $2,793.00. This was a difference of $199.00. When I advised this representative of the price that I had consented to, and that I had a copy of the order in front of me, he advised me that there is a charge of 6 1/2% charge added to the bill automatically for shipping Insurance. I asked him where did it show that on my paperwork and he stated "it is everywhere". It wasn't anywhere on the paperwork that I had printed out!! When I asked to speak to a manager this representative told me that he didn't know his name and then hung up on me. I called back and cancelled this order. Please don't be fooled by this company's lower prices!! This added charge will not show up until you contact them as I did.

This company is dishonest.  
 
I have tried to order two items from their website.  
 
In each case, the website said the item was in stock. However, in each case, several days after ordering, I received in an e-mail stating that the item was back ordered. In each case, while the item was "back ordered," the website was still telling prospective purchasers that the item was in stock, and would ship within 1-2 days.

They run an insurance scam. They show you an invoice without insurance and then they tack on an 8% insurance fee after the order is processed. What makes it worse is they hide the insurance under a larger shipping cost. My shipping started at $19 then popped up to $39. When I checked the invoice a day later.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! TRUE CROOKS!  
This company practice a classical "switch and bait" method! I tried ordering a TV (Sharp 46" LCD TV)which they offered very cheap. But I was FORCED me to buy the handling of $100.00 on top of the $300 shipping! And they stated that it does not have a remote control, stand, or manual and I only have 90 days warranty and of course they would sell me extended warranty for an additional $300.00. Yet they say the unit was brand new. I called the manufacturer and they stated that what the seller said was UNTRUE. All Sharp TV comes with 1 year warranty with in-house repair. When I confronted them about their business practice, they told me: You think we would sell you a TV that retails for $1,800.00 for $1,200.00 (to which they advertised online)? I immediately cancelled the order and had to inform my credit card company that these "crook" might use my information illegally. Bottomline, DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these guys. THEY ARE TRUE CROOKS. I've already filed a formal report about this company to Internet Crime Complaint Center (www.ic3.gov).

I wish I had checked the BBB before ordering from this company. They should be closed down.It is places like this that give "online" companys such a bad name.I called to order my plasma TV and the price was $280.00 higher than the price they had posted. They explained they had a price increase and not had a chance to correct the site.They offered me the step-up model for the same price, this should have been a TIP OFF but I placed the order. I ordered it with "White Glove Delivery" for an additional $159.00. I am a senior and needed inside delivery and not left on the sidewalk. I also ordered a Panasonic home theater system and a wall bracket for the plasma.  
My delivery was promised by 1:00 P.M., you had to pick a 4 hour window. At 7:10 P.M. the driver called a said he would be at my home shortly. I told him to cancel it as I had been waiting since 1:00 P.M. for my special $159.00 extra delivery. Within 10 minutes the office called and said please accept delivery and they would get me a credit for the $159.00. I did accept it but was never able to get my $159.00 back. This is only the begining with a person named Henry at this company. The home theater system they shipped me was a model that had a retail price of $200.00 less than the model I ordered and the wall mount was the wrong type for the plasma. After 6 seperate calls to Henry over a 35 day period he told me that was the home theater model I ordered and the fact that it was $200.00 less did not make any difference. Why anyone would pay more than the retail price for this he had no explanation. I paid $475.00 for a model that retailed for $369.00. To all of this add another $320.00 for delivery charges.I have reported this to the BBB and have asked American Express to drop them as a merchant.If I lived closer to Brooklyn, New York I would take them to small claims court. I hope anyone reading this will be sure to check reviews and BBB before buying anything from anyone online.Thank you for taking the time to read this.

This is a classic bait and switch operation. After placing an order for a 42' Sharp LCD TV, I received a confirming phone call saying the order will be shipped that week. Great. Well, nothing comes in. I find out it's on backorder. Except their website still says they have stock and are shipping in 24 hours. I check over the next 3 weeks and they didn't even reply to my last e-mail. They give a lowball price and wait for the market to catch up and hope you don't catch on...  
I cancelled my order on 2/21. 3+ weeks wasted for a dishonest company to string me along.  
Avoid them like the plague.

Beware of this dishonest seller!! I just finished the last of my dealings with Shop Digital Online, and I am so sorry I even attempted at buying from them.  
 
On 12/3/07, I ordered a 50” plasma TV online. They had the best price and the site said it was in stock and will ship in 24-48 hours. They called the next day to confirm the order (very long wait on the phone, BTW), and the guy said I would have it in 2-3 weeks. Awesome, since this was for Christmas. One week later. A week later, I checked my credit card online and found no charge, so I sent an email asking about this. It was amazing coincidence (yeah right) but I quickly received a backorder notification email and a second email stating the TV was on “a slight backorder.” They were expecting a shipment in the next 2-3 weeks. But I thought it was in stock! I then reread the reviews and learned of some of the tricks companies like this play. So I started getting worried.  
 
The next week, I send an email just wondering if they heard anything about the shipment. No response. All this time, the TV is still listed as in stock.  
 
On Friday, 12/21/07, I decided I’d try and call to see if I’m getting a runaround. I told the sales rep that I was interested in the TV and that I wanted to know if it was in stock and available for immediate shipment. Yes, it was. “So can you please explain to my why my order has not been shipped?” The guy fumbled some kind of explanation, saying that his computer doesn’t have recent orders. But it’s been nearly 3 weeks! He asks me to wait for another two weeks. Well, I’m getting pretty fed up by this point.  
 
My wife calls on Sun., 12/23/07, explains what’s going on and what the guy said, then asks if they have any intention of actually selling me the TV. Again, they fumbled some explanation, saying that they’re looking into it. A shipment will arrive in 1 ½ to 2 weeks. Fine, we’ll give them a last chance. Yesterday, 1/3/08, I emailed again saying that 1 ½ weeks has gone by and I was curious about the shipment. The entire response was “its going to be another 3 weeks before we get it in.” Yeah right! I’ve heard that one before.  
 
So I cancelled the order and placed an order with another company. It’s interesting – the other seller said they knew of the place, that it was right down the street from them. He said that the company was a classic “bait ‘n switch” shop. They apparently make their money by taking an order and then waiting for the manufacturer to lower their price. Or they try to sell you on something more expensive. Absolutely amazing! Yes, he’s the competition, but it’s consistent with my experience and what I’ve read about the company. If that’s what’s going on, then I’m shocked that a company could be so dishonest and immoral. Perhaps this model works because the market consistently has prices falling as new version come out. But any of us who order a product which is new or popular would get screwed. BTW, the TV is still listed as in stock and to be shipped in 24-48 hours. Amazing!  
 
All that being said, that one conversation I had (order confirmation) was pleasant and I don’t recall getting a hard sell. Perhaps they’re fine for buying items which are less expensive and which would be normally in stock. Pretty much all the positive reviews for this company were for camera purchases, so maybe they’re OK for that. But good luck getting something pricey from them which isn’t deflating in cost!  
 
At best, they’re incompetent. At worst, they’re dishonest. Or at least I hope that’s the worst of it. If you choose to buy from them, do so with eyes wide open. Like someone else said, all communication apparently needs to be initiated by the buyer, so stay on top of them. But just save yourself the hassle and buy elsewhere!

Bait & Switch company. Requires that you buy "upsell" accessories otherwise products you order are suddenly "On Backorder." Prices fluctuate on items and when calling to see if a particular item I ordered was in stock for the new higher price, it was available. When telling them that I had a pending order, "oh, that was a mistake, we don't have it available." Don't believe the positive reviews from others, especially the recent ones! This merchant is a strictly online vendor and it is very likely they are padding their reviews. Read their horrible rating on Better Business. BUYER BEWARE!

Just another shady internet retailer. Don't be deceived by the low advertised price as they will add on many mandatory extras before they will ship to you. Also when they call they tell you that the products are refurbished even though there is no mention of that on their website. Bottom line BUYER BEWARE.
