Friend told me about the site so I thought I'd check it out. Found an LCD TV I wanted for $200 less than other stores. Man, shopping has gotten real lazy. I love it....
Everything went smoothly, and my package arrived before I'd expected. (It arrived in 3-days from placing the initial order even while using their FREE shipping option).
Awesome customer service. When I ran into a problem regarding my last order received. They were very gracious and helpful in fixing the issue, I'm glad to say that I am very happy with yoru service, I will be back to shop with you again very soon.
Order checkout was a straightforward execution with no delays and at very reasonable prices. Order tracking information was provided in a timely fashion. That's everything I expect so I'll use them again.
1. I came here after having many many frustrating experiences trying to get a new PV-DV953. Their site said please call for stock, so I did.
2. I spoke to a rep named Charlie, who was extremely helpful and polite through the entire purchase. He volunteered that they didn't have any but that they would by Thursday and would ship Thursday or Friday.
3. I decided that sounded like a more honest story that I would get elsewhere, so I placed an order with the comment that I needed the item soon, so if it didn't ship by Monday, I would like to cancel.
4. I became a little worried because they had raised their price for the item almost $200 since I ordered it, and knowing online camera stores, I expected to suddenly have the item on 'backorder' so they could sell it to someone else at a higher price. However, they didn’t do this at all!
5. On Friday Charlie called back. He didn't try to sell us anything. Instead, he apologized, saying the shipment came in a day late and they would ship out Tuesday night overnight at no additional charge instead of Friday by UPS ground. Was that alright? I said absolutely.
6. The item arrived Tuesday afternoon as advertised!
Through every step of the process they were honest, polite, and a pleasure to deal with. And, of course, they did indeed upgrade my shipping to overnight for free. Finally, an honest, well-priced online merchant. I hope their efforts pay off for them.
I ordered a Panasonic pv-dv953 digital camcorder from shopdigitalonline.com on Friday the 21st after reading some reviews that had said you will still get your item(s) even if you decline the accessories. I can now verify this as true. The price was not the lowest I found but the extra 50 bucks was worth not getting the run around about the item being in stock and then mysteriously becoming backordered if you decline accessories. I did receive a call on Monday the 24th from a gentleman named Charlie and he wanted to verify my address and zipcode. In addition he asked if I was interested in an extra battery, UV filter, or telephoto lens and I declined. I was told thank you for your order and it will go out today. I had requested 2nd day air delivery planning on the package not leaving until Monday but they actually shipped it DHL next day air early am so I had it in hands Tuesday. All the factory accessories were included along with the USA warranty card. This was a great experience for me and I hope they can keep up this level of service so my review will hold true indefinately.
At the end of March 2004, I purchased a Sony DSC-F828 from Shop Digital Online. The following day, I was contacted by Charlie at TS- Shop Digital, New World Series to verify my order.
Besides verifying my order, Charlie informed me of several things I should have to go along with my outstanding digital camera. Being involved in sales, I recognized his low pressure sales tactics (which I think are good). Of course, all of Charlie's suggested items (Lens Kit, Telephoto Lens and a Wide Angle Lens) were of great interest to me and the prices seemed to be okay. He also switched my memory reader to compact flash, which I appreciated. I knew I was getting a good camera and decided I wanted to complete the accessories I wanted. To date, I haven't been able to thoroughly assess the quality of the (Digital Concepts)accessories I purchased.
Up to this point, I have been pleased with the prices and, more importantly, the way Shop Digital Online has dealt with me.
I purchased a Sony 828 Digital Camera. First time purchase with this company. Transaction went SMOOTH. Call from company so they could verify it was me purchasing the item and not some teen-ager (I like that verification). At that time, I was also offered a 30% discount on any accessories. I declined the accessories and was thanked for buying the camera and was informed that the camera would be shipped immediately. No HIGH PRESSURE at all. I ordered the second day air shipment and received an e-mail with tracking number shortly after. Camera arrived well packaged at 8:00 AM on the second morning. I am EXTREMELY pleased with Shop Digital On-Line and will do business with them again.
The merchandise that I ordered, a Sony DCR-DVD200 camcorder arrived as described (in a factory sealed box). They were among the lowest priced retailers that had a decent rating here.
My order was placed 11/27/03. My credit card billed 11/29/03. A clerk contacted me on 12/4/03 and asked politely if I would like to purchase any accessories or an extended warranty policy. The order shipped 12/4/2003. The unit arrived 12/8/2003. I guess that I didn't appreciate that my credit card was billed six days before I was contacted or the unit was shipped. Other than that, I am satisfied.
I placed order for Canon G5 and Sony DCR-TRV38 on Thursday 13, got a confirmation call few hours later. I had been told that I will get my order in 5-7 business days. Shipment arrived on Tuesday 18, only 3 business days later. Everything looks good. I am happy with my purchase.

I had been shopping around for my Canon S400 for about a week using pricewatch.com and pricegrabber.com as search tools. Normally I order from Newegg.com for whatever I need no matter what. However, this time they were too far off from the price I could get. Shop Digital had exactly what I wanted and saved me about $35. That's almost a 256 MB CF card! I ordered Sunday night, got a confirmation phone call Monday morning which surprised me, and had my digicam on my door Saturday morning. Product was as stated, new in box. I am very happy with my purchase.
Order placed on the night of Sunday October 5. There was a message on my answering machine when I got back from work on Tuesday (may have been there Monday but I don't check it every day). It was a call to verify my order. I called them back and verified my order for a Canon Powershot A70. I was hassled to buy additional memory during my verification and from that point onward my experience got weird. Before hanging up I asked how long it would take, 7-10 days was the answer.
The status of the A70 on their site said it should ship in 2-3 days. So on Thursday I send off an email and ask for the status. They reply with "your order should ship Today or Tomorrow" and tell me they'll email the tracking number when it ships. "Great!" I tell myself.
I email them on Saturday the 11th of October asking for the tracking number. I assumed they didn't remember or for whatever reason didn't send it. I get a reply "Hello, we are working very hard to fill the Canon A70 orders. But right now they are backordered, and discontinued. We will email you when they ship. Thank you for your patience" I was shocked and very upset at this considering their previous reply.
I send off one more email on Monday the 13th stating that I was told it would ship "today or tomorrow" and that the status when I ordered said it should ship in 2-3 days. The reply I got was "ok, I will push your out Today or tomorrow the latest..sorry for the mixup..charlie" Not sure what the story was but I think pointing out their inconsistencies was beneficial.
The camera shipped on Tuesday the 14th of October. A full week after the order was verified. It arrived today the 17th of October with the cheapest shipping. (Which was still almost $15 (USD).
On a positive note they were very quick to reply to all my emails.
I chose them because they had the lowest overall price that I could find.
For a 65" DLP the shipping charges were listed as $279 which is what was listed in the checkout.
In their FAQ it states:
"Shipping Cost
You will find accurate shipping charges in your shopping cart."
Yet the shipping charges were increased to $340. They say it is insurance which they require which is OK if that is listed in the checkout. But no - they added 5% =$61 to the Bill. When I asked they say that shipping insurance is not a shipping charge, but it is to me since it was added to the shipping costs and to the invoice without reasonable notice.
Beware, they have good prices but will add 5% without telling you directly.
I have ordered a second 50" plasma TV and in the notes I stated I would not pay more than on this invoice. Stand by for updates when the TV's arrive.
