awful awful awful... It took about a week and a half for them to refund one of my orders when I accidently placed two. That's only the start. The g6 lite I got from them was defective, (it happens, I know,) but after MANY tries via various e-mail addresses, phone numbers, live "help," and opening tickets, I still haven't heard a thing.
Run far away and give somebody else your money.

21.01.08
Called 4 times, no answer.
Sent 4 emails, no answer.
Opend 2 tickets, no answer.
Item pending delivery since 10.01
23.01.08
Had a chat with Jeff yesterday, via the realperson chat.
Jeff told me that my item will ship the same day.
Well...Jeff lied. Its now been 48 hours and its still in their warehouse.
Still no responce regarding the emails i sent.
Tryed calling them again, no answer.
Sent them my final email stating that if i get no responce within 4 days, i will have visa reverse the charges. Reading and replying to one goddamned email can not be that hard. All i want is a "We know, we are dealing with it"
27.01.08
Order now reads as complete, also got the same generic reply to all my emails. Have called the company a total 8 times in the meantime, without success, and yes i know what your business hours are, i work closely with people from Canada.
If you need something fast and would like some customer service, go to divineo, maxconsole or llama.
If you ever feel like waiting for nonexistant customer service from a company that blatantly lies to their customers, and is run by one guy, from his mums basement, stick with consolesource. It does not get any worse.
Too bad visa cant give me back the time i wasted on this. This review was modified by its author, edtamm, on

I ordered the lg gdr-8164B drive for the wii. I had read negitive reviews on this site, but it was one of the few websites that had it in stock and the price continues to go up so I decided I would purchase it despite the bad reviews. I'm glad to say that I recieved the drive and it works. It took a few more days to arrive then it should have but that wasn't a big problem. The drive is horrible for watching a dvd but great for backup. I would probably buy from them again as long as I couldn't find a better website for the product I'm looking for.

Frustrated with this company... On Dec 18nth I placed an order for 2 memor32 memory cards and was charged immediately for $153.89.
On Dec 24th the day before Christmas (Yay!) UPS drops off 1 memory card... Well I was happy to get the order so fast but disappointed they had only shipped one! They shipped me half the order. I got one memor32 card in a small package. No instructions, documentation, cable or even a paper saying what it was.
12/24/2007: I emailed support@consource.com and sales@consolesource.com and explained that they had charged me $153.89 for two memory cards and shipping but they had sent me one instead with no explanation. Please explain.
No response. I called the number on their site: 888-779-1377 but got a message saying "Your party is not answering please try again later". I waited a week and still no response to either email.
12/30/2007: I emailed them again and told them it had been a week and I have emailed both support@consolesource.com and order@consolesource.com and have gotten no response... Please... help... Nothing. No response.
01/03/2007: I searched their site looking for new emails or numbers and find their support ticket system. I fill out a support ticket and explain all the details and call the support number some more. No response... Nothing.
01/04/2007: It has been 12 days and I have emailed them repeatedly, called the phone number, and have not heard anything back from them. At this point I am not really sure what to do. I was really impressed with how fast they shipped my item unfortunately they only shipped half the order and now will not acknowledge me. 12 days of frustrating one way communication will keep me from ever purchasing from this company again. They could have at least typed a two word email saying "We know"...
01/08/2008: I received an email from the ticket system on their site! "Would you like another card shipped out or a refund issued for it?". So I replied to send me another one and I would be fine.
01/23/2008: I got another email: "Another Card was shipped for you on Jan. 23."
02/06/2008: I got the second memory card finally but it looked like a knock off. Did not even have a label on it. Plain black card with no name, no lettering and no documentation or cable.
Anyway, It is February and I have the 2 memory cards I ordered before Christmas. All in all I do not think they mean to rip you off. Just insanely negligent. Expect weeks for an email reply and you will not be to upset when you get it. Even though I have what I bought I have doubts I will ever do that again.

I had ordered two items for the Nintendo DS from this company, but it's taken close to 40 days for it to arrive and I'm a bit concerned. Both items were in stock. Admittedly I live in Australia and the company is in Canada, and I chose the USPS Global Airmail shipping option, which in some cases CAN take this long. My advice to anyone buying from overseas companies is to properly research the shipping options you've selected, unlike I did. This review was modified by its author, Jay11111, on

Bought an item on 11/29/2007 and still have yet to receive it. I am writing this on 12/20/2007. The order was shown as complete on 11/30/2007. I sent in a ticket yesterday and am now awaiting reply.
This is taking way too long for an order being sent from Canada to NY. I have bought items shipped from Hong Kong that arrive faster than this purchase. Hopeful for a quick resolution.
12/21/07: Consolesource replied to my email stating that it has only been 16 business days and to allow for the advertised 20 days for delivery. Continuing to wait...
Finally received it the week before the new year. Not sure of exact date since I was on vacation. One month delivery time, that is long. This review was modified by its author, ironchef86, on

Along with many others of the unhappy customers of consolesource.com, I am shocked by the lack of effort this company makes to provide efficient customer service.
I made my initial order on Dec 2, 2007. The site said it was "in stock" and things that are "in stock" are shipped within 24 hours. 13 days later, I've heard nothing so I called the 1888 number provided on the site only to have an automated voice tell me that they're not answering and it's going to hang up on me. Praying that I hadn't been scammed, checked them out online and I found the reviews on this site. After reading the reviews, immediately asked for a refund considering this was a Christmas present.
5 emails later with no response (not to mention a gazillion attempts to call), I decide to make a complaint to the better business bureau of Canada. I send a 6th email informing consolesource.com of the complaint and "coincidently", I get the refund I had been asking for the next day by way of a notice (but as of writing this review I haven't actually received the refund).
I will never order from this site again. They lack business sense. Considering that most of the reviews on this site talk about the poor customer service, one would think that this would be their area of focus!
If you are reading this to check up on this company prior to purchase, I urge you strongly to reconsider.
If you are reading this after ordering and unable to contact this company, I urge you to file a complaint to the better business bureau. As customers, we should expect a company to follow the policies they've placed on their website. This appears to be the only way this company will make the changes it needs.

***Horrible Customer Service Support***
I have submitted 2 tickets and both got closed without a response. As you can see, many other people have the same or similar opinion as mine. This review was modified by its author, AlohaGamer, on

I don't usually write reviews, but this vendor requires a special treatment.
I ordered a birthday present for my coworker/roomie on August 31, see? It would be the best idea to send the order to other place than my home/work place. So I picked my wife's name and work address for the delivery info. All hunky-dory right?
One month passed (late October), no package came, so I asked what is the status of the order, they answered that the item was backordered! No notification whatsoever! They said it would be delivered in about 2 weeks. Fine, I'll wait. I'm a patient man.
Another month passed! I asked the Live Help they have on their site, why is it not coming yet. They replied that the package was returned to sender! Why didn't they ever inform me?? I had to pay for the re-send fee of $12 (with tracking number this time, learned my lesson dealing with them) to send the package to my work place under my name figured that I will give the present on the spot since it was way passed due.
After numerous requests for tracking number, they finally gave me one two days ago, and today was the day (Nov 30!). I guess this horrible experience ended today right? Get this, they shipped the stuff with my name on it, to my wife's work address! For a signature required package to boot!
Anyway, just called UPS to reroute the package to my address.
In conclusion, it has been a pleasant ride with them, it only took 3 full months to do this simple transaction. That's why I gave them a big fat ZERO "NOT RECOMMENDED" POINT for the ratings. Good job Consolesource, you deserved it.
Zero for the incompetent shipping department, zero for lousy communication. And one more thing regarding Live Help: why do I need to put my order ID on the provided field if they just going to ask for it again every single time??

I originally wrote a really bad review of Console Source but I have now retracted it. It seems that the manufacturer had some long delays with their product (Cyclo DS evolution) that was very well documented on their site. Sorry for this oversight. The customer service is extremely inconsistent. I ordered 10/3/07 and my order was set to "Queued". I sent a message asking when the order was going to be shipped and Today they responded with the answer "Friday". The thing is, I called yesterday morning and the man I spoke with said the order would ship TODAY (10/10/07).
Update: Well, I called on Thursday to make sure it was shipping on Friday, and he told me it would ship on Monday of next week (10/15/07). Now on Tuesday, my order is STILL Queued!!! I can't get ahold of them so far today, but I'm extremely frustrated with the laughably poor service.
Update: I called them about 30 minutes ago to ask if it shipped yesterday, and they said it should ship Mid-NEXT WEEK! Apparently it's due to the fact that they didn't get the cooler that I ordered in, so they held the whole order. I have had it with these people, so I asked to cancel my order. Hopefully they can actually get that done.
I don't doubt the quality of the products, but this is a site to STAY AWAY from if you expect halfway decent customer service. This review was modified by its author, Doodmar, on

I did get the item very quickly when I ordered it even though I had it canceled. However, they said that it was not canceled because it was already shipped. I placed a ticket for it to be canceled about 3 days before it was shipped, giving them enough time to cancel. So my next step was to return it for a refund when I received the package, which I also got a ticket for. I followed the instructions on the email they sent me after I sent the ticket exactly, even typing my address and return number to make sure they do not mistaken my handwriting. It has already been over a month and a half, and I still have not got an email stating they have received my return. The only two problems I could think of that might have happened to my package was that it got lost in the mail somehow or they did not even bother to return my money. I will never know. All I have to say is if you are going to buy something, make sure that you actually want it.
