My first attempt to order from this company ended with an e-mail two days later that my credit card was expired. I wanted these parts and tried again, after waiting for over a day for some acknowledgement of my order and repeated checking of my account and their website I figured I didn't have an order with them. Since time was an issue with this order I ordered the same items and received them before the weekend .
I received an email confirming my previous order 2 days after I had tried to order. The website says it "may take up to a business day for the order to show"
Six days after the order was shipped to me and the shipment hadn't arrived, that part doesn't bother me as much as when I requested an RMA they responded with one and gave me five days before it expired and it hadn't even got here yet. Also I was told they were charging me 15% restocking fee, this I feel is unfair as it is the inadequacy of their ordering system that has caused the problem of not being able to know if you have an order, time is money and they wasted mine with very unprofessional handling of the whole process. The email confirmation I finally received was indistinguishable from all the junk email a person gets as the senders name doesn't even mention the company, luckily I was checking and found it. Looked like junk mail (spam)
I was able to refuse the shipment and Fed EX is returning it however I know it will not get there in five days!
I am willing to pay for the shipping and handling but the restocking fee was used as an attempt to make me take the order as they are stiffing me for over $50.00 plus shipping and handling.
The products are being returned, unopened and I haven't even seem them.
I have shopped many on-line retailers and this is my worst experience ever, they have no concern for their customers and do not care about repeat business. I would not recommend this site to anyone I know.
Reading through all the letters there seems to be a real trend of dissatisfied customers.
Update May 5th 2003: It's now 2 weeks after the order was returned by Fed EX undelivered (verified-on-line tracking).This transaction started almost a month ago! I still have not received any credit on my charge account.
They had no trouble billing me immediately. If I ever do see a credit they are charging me a 15% restocking fee for an item that was never delivered, plus shipping & handling.
Next stop Master Card -customer service,
then the Better Business Bureau
Also I think the customer is always wrong mentality that shows in the responses posted to the dissatisfied customers just reinforces my statement that this company is one that's not worth dealing with.
Go to New Egg or GoogleGear if you want customer service if something is wrong, their prices are about the same if not better and the service is outstanding
Update 6/8/03
Finally after almost 2 months I have a credit - minus what looks like more than 15% and only after the help of my credit card company.
Instead of giving me a credit at first they charged me again a $206.00 charge appeared on my statement even though I was still waiting for a credit they promised a month earlier.
This company doesn't care about it's customers! and I believe that half of the positive reviews here are made up by the staff- what a joke!
