After finding an unbeleivable price on a camcorder I placed the order in late December, they called me a few days later to "verify" all my information and to try and sell me all sorts of accessories. I kindly declined all the extras and they said that everything was fine with my order and I would be getting an email when the camera shipped. Two weeks later still no email so I checked the order status online and it was still processing. I than called in and they said the camera was on backorder and they did not have any clue when it would come in. I decided to wait another month and called back in and they still had no timeframe. In the meantime the camera I ordered was back on their website at a price of $150.00 above the "great" deal I got. I finally cancelled the order and have since bought elsewhere. Be very aware of this shady store.

I Ordered a CANON PowerShot A640 12-30-2006 from this store and received an email 01-03-2007 saying the following:
Thank you for your most recent order with us.
Your order is now with the billing department, and prior to shipping your order out, we need you to get in touch with us to confirm some details.
Please contact one of our representatives.
It is a pleasure to serve you and we hope you visit us again soon.
So I called and they tried to sell me from A to Z of accessories which I declined for about 10 minutes and then the sales person confirmed that they were going to ship the camera.
I have written the numerous emails regarding my order to get the to tell me if they are out of stock or what the reason for this hold up is and no reply.
It is now 01-18-2007 and still not a word and my order is still in the state of processing, I.e. they could not sell me anything additional than the camera and then they obviously do not want to sell me the camera.
So I would advice any one to stay away from this site, since it looks like if you do not call and buy x number of extra items for a much higher price than any where else you are not getting the camera.

I ordered a Sony DVD Handycam right after Thanksgiving. They called to try and sell me accessories. We played telephone tag for a few weeks, but when they got me on the phone, I politely declined any additional accessories. They confirmed my shipping address and said it would ship and that it would require a signature upon delivery. I waited and it never came. I contacted them and they told me it was backordered until January. The employee who said it would ship didn't know this? I decided to wait for it because the price was so much lower than elsewhere. well it's January so I contacted them and they cancelled my order. Do not do business with them. they are just trying to scam people it seems.

This is a bait an switch, upsell company. All accessories for the Sony camcorder I ordered were double or triple the price anywhere else. I tried to cancel the order twice, 4 days before it shipped, but they shipped it anyway and wanted to charge 15% restocking fee for an item I cancelled. After offering me more accessories "free", I agreed to accept the camera. The customer service guy was very rude, and high pressure sales. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them, or zcamera warehouse (shipping department).

DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!They show low price then try to sell u 10x overpriced accesories. When I told them I only wanted a camera they said it would be two weeks before I get the camera and I said OK. I called 12-28-06 to check status and they told me the camera was out of stock and I told them to cancel the order. I will never buy from them ever again. If you do not buy extra over priced items they will not sell you the camera for the advertised price.

BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUY´S!!!
READ MY POST BELOW; AND BE AWARE THAT I HAVE ALSO JUST FOUND OUT FROM THE N.Y.ÁTTORNEY´S OFFICE THAT ALL POSITIVE REVIEWS BELOW HAVE BEEN PLACED BY EMPLOYEES OF THE STORE ITSELF. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF SCAMMER´S!!!
I ordered a camera online from them, after being told they had it in stock. Two days later, when I refused to buy any of their overpriced options, I was told that the camera was on backorder.
It has been 3 weeks now, and every time I call them they say it is coming in tomorrow. I am going to sue this company, I have already reported it to the Better Business Bureau, and to the N.Y. attorneys office (they told me they are already investigating them through their Internet taskforce and will go after them).
PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!!

Before made order, I called to Stop4camera, "John" said the camcorder SONY HDR-SR1 which I ordered is available, than, I made order at Nov. 2, the second day John called me confirmed the order and push me buy extra stuff like extra battery... he said the manufacture package battery is only last 25 Min. but I check the Sony’s web, it states 2.5 hr. I refused to buy the extra stuff. He said I could get the order 7-14 day. But it's 11 days after order, I didn't get the shipping confirmation email, I called back they said it is not available, and they don't know when it's available. So, I canceled the order!
(I assume if I agree to buy overprice battery and the extra charger, they can sell me the camcorder.)

Horrible Experience!
The salesman told me he would cancel my order because the profit margin was too low. Read below for the whole story.
I placed an order 2 months ago with this company. The product that I wanted was an Elura 100. This company had about the lowest price around, a good $100 less than the big box stores. I read all the review complaining about the slow shipping time. I thought I'm not in a hurry I can wait. Just for the heck of it I called before I placed the order to check to see if the camera was in stock. They also said that they could ship the camera the next day.
I was already expecting the follow up call. (If you haven't heard, they WILL call you and try to force sub-par accessories for only an additional $150-200. A bag, a lens cover, battery and charger.) So as soon as I ordered online I called the them to intitated the conversation. I let the salesman go through his monologue before I told him I was not interested. He then told me that he wanted to check to see if when the earliest he could ship the camera to me. I was then informed that the camera was backordered and it may take 2-3 weeks to ship. He then told me that he did have the camera in the %insert cool adjective% kit and it would ship tomorrow. I told him that I just talked to him with the last 15 minutes and he said that the cameras where in stock.
That was 2 months ago. I have had around 3-4 calls where they said: "We just had a shipment come in, it will be shipping next Monday." That is just to get you off the phone. I just finished my last conversation with them. I was told that the price of the camera had went up X amount of dollars. No worry, you already took my order, I get it for the price you sold it to me. He then told me there was no way that he would sale the camera for that amount, they would lose money.
So is it OK for a company to post a price online, then refuse to sell you the product without purchasing additional off brand 3rd party accessories?
I knew all along I wouldn't really get the camera for the price I wanted, but it's amazing how sleazy the salesmen I talked to were. Forget talking to a manager. No matter who you hear talking in the background or who they check with to see if the camera is in stock: 1. they are the only people there 2. they are the manager 3. their manager is very busy and doesn't have time to talk. 4. they no one has voicemail
They were also completely ignorant to the product they sold. I can promise you that Canon will give you a battery with a longer life than 20 minutes, it is not a starter battery. According to the salesman, the UV filter doesn't block UV light. He followed up by saying the UV in UV filter doesn't stand for ultra violet, but for something that protects the lens from getting scratches.
When I'm mad, my grammar's bad.

DON'T BUY STUFF FROM THEM! I ordered a camera from them. After the day I placed my order, they called me and tried to sell me all their SO over priced stuff. For example, on their website it shows "The EN-EL3 rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides sufficient energy capacity to shoot approximately 2,000 images.", which is the same to the description on manufactory website. They called me and said the battery comes with the camera just last for 20 minutes and try to sell me an additional battery. 20 minutes for 2,000 images! which means 100 pic/min... THEY DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE LIE! The conversation ends with I canceled the order.

What more can be said? This site is clearly a "Bait & Switch" internet site. I have read numerous other reviews about this site concering their less than honorable selling practices, but unfortunately it was only after I was advised of this site by B&H Photo. I ordered a JVC GR-X5 camcorder that was listed on their site for $919.99 and received the same email from them advising that in the interest of "Fraud Control" (Ironic) and to expedite my order that I should call their "800" number for faster service. Upon speaking to the operator he confirmed that they did in fact have the camera that I wanted in stock, and after obtaining my credit card information began to attempt to sell additional accesories/warranties to me. I declined for several minutes informing the operator that I was only interested in the camera. He then began lowering the price of the accesories/warranty. I still declined and at that time he said that he would conclude my order only after checking with his warehouse. Upon returning to the line he advised that JVC was having a problem with their shipping and the camera was on backorder.
I then found this website and decided to call back attempting to place a second order for the camera. This time I agreed to purchase the warranty and miraculousy the camera was in stock and ready for immediate shipment. I then gave the operator my order number and asked him why that order could not be shipped. He stumbled for a moment then said that he could only sell the camera as a package deal. I then cancelled both orders and notified the BBB.

STOP4CAMERA is a bait and switch site. I ordered a Sony DCR-DVD403 DVD Camcorder and was instructed by Email to call to expedite credit order. I called and when I would not putchese the overpriced accessories I was told the unit was out-of-stock. I was told a delivery would be in two weeks. I called again and acted like I wanted to make a new order and asked if 403 was in stock. The sales person said yes! I said good, ship out my order! After checking again, there was a mistake and my unit was still not in. After approximately 8 weeks and no camera I sent an Email and they replied that the Sony has discontinued the unit. What BS! I contacted the Better Business Bureau and am notified potential customers to be careful. STOP4CAMERA.COM IS A LOWBALL AND SWITCH. The email reply also came from ZCAMERAWARHOUSE.COM beware!!!!!!!

I ordered a canon powershot SG6 from this store on Feb 3, after finding it on comparison sites, with the lowest price for NEW. There were a few lower prices at other shops but refurbished. I received a confirmation email saying my order had to be verified by their fraud dept and I could call to expodite this. I called (on Sat) and got a recording saying no one was there till Monday.
Sunday night (Feb 5)a man called from there, to verify my shipping address. He then went on to push "deals" on me, like saying the camera only came with a 32 MB memory card and I could only take 32 pictures with this (I have an Epson camera with a 32 MB card and can take 70-400 pictures with it, depending on quality). I kept saying I had borrowed the money for the camera and couldn't buy anything more right now. He said it would be shipped the next day (Monday Feb 6) by UPS and I would get an email saying this. My debit card wouldn't be charged till it was shipped (it hasn't been) Today is Feb 9th, and not getting any email yet, I put the camera store in google and found your site with the negative reviews! I read the same story, what happened with me, I was pressured to buy more. Even though the camera, itself was a low price. And, since I didn't buy more, apparently it's not going to be sent. I have emailed them asking about this and saying if they don't plan on sending it to cancel it and let me know so I can buy it elsewhere.
Even though they apparently don't take the money FOR the camera, it's still a waste of time, and had I not found your website, who knows how long I'd have waited for it to be shipped.
Do I hope that maybe I will still get it at some point?
Isn't this something sort of ILLEGAL? Even though they don't take your money, just don't ship the camera unless you buy more/expensive stuff to go with it?
LATER: I got a response to my email asking about what I learned on this website, saying they were cancelling my order. Apparently it's true they advertise low prices, then don't send it unless you buy high priced accessories (they push on you) to go with it.
I'm bummed out, because I thought I was getting the camera for the price that advertised, so budgeted around that, and now a week has gone by and I don't have enough to get the camera (new) at other sellers I found.
Even though they might say the camera was out of stock (as some here wrote)it's still false advertising to offer one price then not send it unless you buy overpriced extras. Of course, they don't SAY this, but it's obvious.
They give a bad name to all online camera stores. This review was modified by its author, starchile, on

Another obvious bait and switch scam operator. I ordered the Nikon D70s, got the call to confirm the order with the standard "battery doesn't last, you need the $200 extended battery" scam which I refused, extended warranty, which I refused, extra charger, which I refused, and during hte conversation the salesperson said "only an idiot would buy this camera with the standard battery" to which I calmly told him I'd take my chances. He said it was in stock, finally gave me an order number with no extras and said I'd get a confirming email. Two days pass, no confirming email, I called to check on it and was told it was out of stock and that they must have just sold out of the D70s body only units while I was on the line so my salesman thought it was in stock, but they'd be happy to sell me a D70s "kit" which has the extras, and is in stock. I told them to cancel the order, and got a prompt email canceling it. I called back just for fun from a different phone number and posed as a new customer and was told they have plenty of D70s body only units in stock. Standard scam, if you won't buy the upsell, they act as if they are taking your order, don't ship anything, hoping to get you in a time crunch for Christmas if you need the product and try to sell you the more expensive "kit" when you call in. I ordered the D70s body only from Etronics for about $20 more, and no problems, quick email confirmations, etc. Don't use the scam artists, use Etronics.

I hope I don't get an invoice from these guys, i.e. I try to get out of my order again.
Nice price,
abysmal customer service (just call them after hours and listen to their voicemail - you'll get the jist),
and on-time delivery is defined by informing you that the item is in-stock when you order, only to tell you 2 days later that it will take 7-14 days until you get the merchandise.
Yeah, right!
