Excellent price and quick shipping. However my hardware has 1 blemish but I can deal with it for now. Dead pixel may have come straight from the factory but I will never know.

Once I decided what would have been my next notebook (I opted for an Asus W2v) I noticed that the model Asus distributed in my country (Italy) featured much inferior specs than the US model, while costing about the same. I thus opted to buy the machine overseas, as I didn't want to spend that much money for a notebook that wasn't the state-of-the-art at the moment. After some search, I came upon ProPortable. They had the W2 in stock, the price was good, the specifications page on their website was excellent (far better than Asus' own one, to be true) and I received (considering the TimeZone differences) prompt answers to my (SEVERAL) pre-sales questions.
I chose to pay with an international money order, placed it on wednesday, and the following monday my W2 was on the way, on insured FedEx shipping, perfectly packaged and with everything that was advertised as included.
I got prompt responses even to a couple of mails I sent them after the purchase.
The are professional, communicative, efficient and honest. What more can you ask from a reseller?
I'd definitely buy from them again.
Greetings from Italy!
Alessio

I purchased an ASUS laptop from PROPortable. They are by far the most customer-oriented outfit I've ever dealt with online. The order was verified by a rep that was concerned about what my exact requirements were and took pains to ensure that I got the configuration that would work for my needs. They were not just pushing options at me just to make an extra buck. It was a very satisfying buying experience and I would definitely buy from them again, as well as recommend them to any of my colleagues.

I first became aware of PROportable while going to school with the founder, Justin. Begining this business while in school, I was able to see the first hand dedication Justin took towards the success of both ASUS and his company. In terms of my buying experience, I have been more than pleased with both the product, as well as the customer service. The product (the W2) came to me flawless, and in ready to operate condition. I have had no problems with the hardware, and even the smallest questions such as help with setting up my wireless connection, Justin seemed to be awlays on the call. PROportable provides excellant customer service, and an outstanding product. This review was modified by its author, pmikusky, on

Great Laptop, I plugged it in installed software and it works. OEM Xp is a bonus as well, no AOL, or spyware. Great service, great communication. After making the mistake of getting a Dell and still dealing with refund issues my ASUS and ProPortable are exactly what I was looking for.

A pleasure to do business with. Professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I purchased the Turion based A6U and my only concern is why ProPortable doesn't offer DDR400 with this notebook. I ordered it without RAM and added my own Crucial DDR400 to it. It runs just fine and the cost difference between DDR333 and DDR400 is only a few dollars. Cudos to ProPortable, I'm a happy camper.

This company has gone out of their way to help me with a problem that another retailer caused.
When ever posible I will use this retailer.

Before buying my Z71V, all of my questions were answered fully and truthfully. The laptop was delivery 1-2 days early and I haven't had any problems with the laptop so far.

I had an extremely positive experience. While I was making my purchasing decision, ProPortable staff were very quick to respond to my questions with precise, frank answers (e.g. when I asked about buying a more expensive laptop with better graphics, they told me that for my needs it wasn't worth the money and did not try to upsell me).
The machine arrived sooner than predicted, was in perfect condition (not a single dead pixel), and I've been very happy with it.

I purchased a z71v laptop from Proportable about 4 months ago, ive hoped that something would go wrong with it as ive been running folding on it for the past 4 months which uses 100% cpu power.
i wanted to try out the warranty service but this thing is rock solid i guess so i wont have a chance to.
i really have to give a thumbs up for the honest helpful service i received from them. if you are looking to buy from someone you can trust look no further, you wont get a better company to deal with.
their online support is second to none.
they have been online everytime ive signed on.
If you do your research you will find yourself reading this, and i can save you the research of whats the best place to buy a laptop.
Thanks Proportable for holding up the values of honesty and integrity in business.

A friend highly recommended the ASUS W3 and PROPortable. From the moment I sent questions via email to the time the laptop was delivered, PROPortable was on the ball and responsive. Having never made a purchase like this on-line before, I feel very comfortable with this seller. All in all a great experience.

I bought an Asus W5A from PROPortable, and have nothing but good to say about PROPortable, and the laptop. Some background:
I needed an ultraportable for my work - lugging a 8 lb "light design" HP just wasn't cutting it. There was intense pressure (from the company IT) and friends to buy a ThinkPad or Dell, when I ran into the Asus W5A. I only knew that Asus was a motherboard /computer parts manufacturer, so was skeptical. In my research for reviews about this laptop, I ran into a 100% technoGeek bulletin board where more than 1 person praised both their Asus (non W5A models) and their experience with PROPortable. So I decided that PROPortable was a logical first port-of-call.
I exchanged several emails with PROPortable Sales - asking about Asus, the W5A, how *they* would rate it, etc. PROPortable's responses were very prompt (via email) and very forthcoming, and, against the better judgement of my IT friends, I went ahead with the purchase.
I decided to go for the limited supply black/"carbon" case version.
There was a slight delay in shipping - PROPortable discoverd that boxes from Asus labeled as "carbon" were in fact white/"perl" and they were getting replacements - they were very proactive about keeping me informed about the cause of the delay - I appreciated their honesty.
Once shipped the laptop arrived promptly, and within 2 hours I was putting it to use on an extended business trip. Great little machine - for my kind of work. Eye-turner at meetings as well!
The W5A was advertised as carrying a wireless A/B/G minicard. I discoverd that the one I had actually had a B/G card. When I contacted PROPortable about this, they said he'd look into it. And an hour later, I had a response: as it turns out, the white Asus' that PROPortable had did indeed have the A/B/G card; Asus had begun shipping newer units, like the the machine I received with B/G cards only, but failed to inform their resellers.
When I told PROPortable that I had access to a couple of A networks, and the A/B/G card in the Asus a big part of the buying decision, PROPortable told me they would be willing to swap out the B/G for the A/B/G if I sent the laptop back to them. I haven't done it, despite at least 2 reminders from PROPortable that the offer for the swap was still on (3 months after the purchase!; now that's my definition of "Customer Care"). Truth be told, I cannot afford to part with the machine now - it's become too integral to my work/web-surf life [I'm sending in this review on said machine at an airport lounge].
I'd recommed PROPortable without a thought, and, should I need to purchase another machine, I'd be looking there first (and at Asus PCs). This review was modified by its author, seriiyanabore, on
