Last week I ordered a pair of headphones from here, the only other place that sold them in canada IIRC was amazon.ca and tiger's price was cheaper.
First of all, when I bought them, they were listed at 33.99, but what caught me off guard was the inflated shipping price of like 12 dollars. I made the mistake to proceed with the order anyways, even though the overall price i was paying was higher than the other company when shipping is taken into account.
It was (and still is, barring that they change it after reading this) listed as being available on a "order today, ships today" basis.
so a week later, with nothing having arrived, I decide to check my order status and it tells me that
1) Invoice Not Available
2) Order Status: All Backordered - These items are currently on backorder, and will ship as soon as we receive stock on them. ( We are currently doing a physical inventory. Your order may temporarily show on backorder. Please allow 48 hours for your status to update. )
Now the 48 hour thing might be nice and all, but it was "available" a week ago, and should have SHIPPED by now.
I'm grabbing a plane and going down to the states in a week, which is why i ordered headphones in the first place. If it hasn't even shipped yet, I don't want it, nor will I be around to accept it if and when it does arrive.
So I call the number (800-800-8300) and press 3 to talk to a customer service representative, and explain to him that i want to cancel the order. He tells me that there is some system issue so nothing can be processed, and to call back in half an hour.
Half an hour later, I do call, and he spinning the same story, this time telling me to call back in TWO hours. Now it's 11 o clock at night, i can't be calling at 1 in the morning, i have other things to be doing. I asked him to confirm if he won't screw me over when I call in 2 hours, and instead of answering, the guy asks "Is there anything else I can help you with?" and when I told him "no, i'm asking a question" he hangs up on me. I am gunna call in the morning.
UPDATE - They sent me an email today telling me they canceled the order.
