Good product, ULT40252 USB flash drive is easy to use, just plug it in and you can easily use it without being asked if some software needs to be installed (like some I bought from before)

I was sent an special offer from Tiger Direct regarding labtops that were on sale. Since it is a "special" birthday this year from my boys, I decided that laptops is what I would buy. I ordered them on July 27/09 and they are scheduled for delivery today which is July 28/09. I am so impressed with the ease of ordering from Tiger Direct on line and equally impressed by their customer service and speed of delivery. This is not the first time I have ordered from Tiger Direct nor will it be that last! If you want great service, prices, fast delivery and great customer service, Tiger Direct is the way to go. Thank you so much!!

The products I ordered arrived via UPS three days after ordering them. Even though this was a little slower than a previous order, I am very happy overall. The product is installed and working great. If there is anything that I wouldn't mind seeing as an option, it would be nice to have a choice of a lower-priced delivery option.

Great product, cheap service and quick shipping. Works great. Only discrepancy is that it did not come with any manuals. Other than that i've shopped at TigerDirect.ca for almost 8 years and have never had a problem with them.

Last week I ordered a pair of headphones from here, the only other place that sold them in canada IIRC was amazon.ca and tiger's price was cheaper.  
 
First of all, when I bought them, they were listed at 33.99, but what caught me off guard was the inflated shipping price of like 12 dollars. I made the mistake to proceed with the order anyways, even though the overall price i was paying was higher than the other company when shipping is taken into account.  
 
It was (and still is, barring that they change it after reading this) listed as being available on a "order today, ships today" basis.  
 
so a week later, with nothing having arrived, I decide to check my order status and it tells me that  
 
1) Invoice Not Available  
2) Order Status: All Backordered - These items are currently on backorder, and will ship as soon as we receive stock on them. ( We are currently doing a physical inventory. Your order may temporarily show on backorder. Please allow 48 hours for your status to update. )  
 
Now the 48 hour thing might be nice and all, but it was "available" a week ago, and should have SHIPPED by now.  
 
I'm grabbing a plane and going down to the states in a week, which is why i ordered headphones in the first place. If it hasn't even shipped yet, I don't want it, nor will I be around to accept it if and when it does arrive.  
 
So I call the number (800-800-8300) and press 3 to talk to a customer service representative, and explain to him that i want to cancel the order. He tells me that there is some system issue so nothing can be processed, and to call back in half an hour.  
 
Half an hour later, I do call, and he spinning the same story, this time telling me to call back in TWO hours. Now it's 11 o clock at night, i can't be calling at 1 in the morning, i have other things to be doing. I asked him to confirm if he won't screw me over when I call in 2 hours, and instead of answering, the guy asks "Is there anything else I can help you with?" and when I told him "no, i'm asking a question" he hangs up on me. I am gunna call in the morning.  
 
UPDATE - They sent me an email today telling me they canceled the order.

I do apologize for the inconveniences you have incurred over this order. You are correct in that the product has recently entered a backorder as well. As well our systems were down during the evening you attempted to cancel out your order; in turn we were unable to process your request right away. I do see that your requested was forwarded for next day when the systems were up and in turn your order has been cancelled out.

Great service. I asked my son, who lives out of town, to tell me what he wanted for his birthday. He directed me to Tiger Direct. The ordering was easy. After a few days, he noticed that I had an error in the shipping address. Tiger Direct provided me with the UPS contact number and was able to correct that error without any problem. Both my son and I am satisfied with the whole process re regard to buying from Tiger Direct.

Lite on 8X DVDRW Ext slim USB  
Everything seems to be working fine so far. Drive a little noisey but did a recovery disc for netbook and was fine. Might be a little faster plugged in on AC power than USB

At the time of writing this I have not yet recieved my order. Apparently it is what is called a dropped shipment from the original source to the warehouse then on to me. It arrived at the warehouse on the 17th of July and hopefully shipped on to me. I had to contact customer service to get an update. The tracking number I was sent showed the first stage of the shipment from the supplier. I suggest a clearer method of providing delivery time and what to expect in this process.

The TigerDirect order screen states to "contact Gateway" before returning the product and for technical support issues. Gateway Computers refuses to support the computer and indicates on the phone that the product is not under warranty and has been sold to the Gatway Renovation Company. The problem with the computer is that it will not create the recovery back up discs as it claims and most everyone has this problem. The software stalls after inserting the media, and I have tried all kinds of DVD media. My computer also shipped without one screw installed below the screen which is difficult to replace due to access. The bottom cover arrived unscrewed. The refurbish process by Gateway Renovation was not very good. Neither Tiger Direct or Gateway provide technical support for the product. This computer does not come with paper manuals or discs that are included when new. The computer performs well so far except for not creating the recovery discs with the included software. I am concerned if the system goes down that I will be left without software to recover the computer. Buying the extended warranty would just make it more expensive than buying new and it wouldn't make financial sense. This was my first attempt at buying from Tiger Direct and the jury is still out, for now anyway. TigerDirect did contact me and I am trying to resolve the outstanding issues. I will be calling the Gateway Renovation Company to deal with making the recovery discs. Stay tuned for a response.

As per the product detail screen it states that the warranty is covered by the Gateway Renovation Group and a phone number is provided. This is a company that will refurbish a gateway computer and they are the ones to cover this product. As well we offer a 30 day iron clad return policy on this product which is also stated on the product description screen. In addition it also states that manuals may not be included but in saying this we have manuals available on the product description page to download in .PDF format. In addition our site also specifies that not all the computers may include a recovery disc upon order. In stating all this we have contacted you with two resolutions, one is to do a full return for a full refund or alternatively you may bring your computer in and we will see if we can correct the missing screw problem and give you a gateway recovery disc at no charge. So far you have accepted to come for a repair to us along with the OS disc to be given upon your earliest convenience.  
 
Aug 4 2009 - As specified an OS disc from Gateway was given to you in hand and the missing screw turned out to be a different size then the rest, in turn you were unable to see it from that angle but it is there and no repair was required for this. I am happy to have resolved this in the manner you desired, Thank you
