I ordered an AMD processor. The box it came in was so small that the sides bulged out and there was absolutely zero packaging material used. When I opened the box, the inside of the processor box was destroyed. The CPU was floating around in the box and the fan was covered in dust. They blamed AMD for sending them a box that was already broken and UPS for being too rough with the package. However, if the box was pre-broken, then why send it to me (it was obviously broken without even opening it)? I don’t think you can hold UPS responsible if you don’t use any packing materials.

I sent it back, and it took them a week to process the RMA, but they did send me another processor. I requested that they use packing material the second time, and they did. So I lost a couple weeks and $6 for return shipping for the RMA.

You will probably have better luck with some of the other computer parts stores.

This is the second time I bought a video card from them and I had returned the first one and returned the second one today. They both had issues. Freeze up when you play games or bad graphic processor, and I am not making this up, I have tested it on multiple computers with same results. I dont know if its my luck or FuturePower.com but I wont be buying a video card from them anytime soon. The shipping was on time as expected, so no complains about that, but still, would look for other alternatives before I buy anything from them.

Along with an LCD monitor & a couple gigs of ram, I purchased a trio of rounded IDE & hardrive cables. Instead of all being blue, I was sent 1 blue and 2 yellows. Given the delay/hassle of returning low value items, I'll just keep them and purchase the correct colors at a local store. Besides the color mixup, the speed of service was excellent.

I ordered a hard drive on a Saturday. I paid extra for same business day shipping (2.99) and I paid extra for 2 day shipping. The product did not ship on the following Monday. But rather the following Tuesday and it was shipped ground. One phone call I was promised they would refund the difference. As of today (12/21/04) it has not happened despite the promise it would happen within 2-3 business days. Product was as advertised but they dropped the ball on the order delivery and customer service. Right now (Xmas week) their number is busy.
Not sure what course I should follow (do I contest the charge with my credit card company?) Or take the loss of 6 dollars or whatever the difference was and a heap of my time and blacklist this seller from ever using them again. Would not recommend for mission critical purchases under a tight deadline.

I ordered a Dvdrw at December 5 online, they email me on December 9 and asked told me that my order is currently on back order(out of stock?)
I email them back, but they didn't reply my email!! Finally they shipped my order on December 14. My order took more than 2 weeks, that's too long!

I found a nice deal on a GeForce 6800 GT through pricewatch, so I called to confirm price and availability. The guy on the phone did so without hesitating and I concluded my order within minutes. I thought, then, that the order would go very smoothly. Then I got this e-mail:

"We have received your order and currently one of the items you have
ordered has an ETA date. ETA stands for Estimated Time of Arrival. This
means that the manufacture has not sent the item to us, or the item is on
the way to us and is on hold from them. The ETA date is the date that the
manufacture has set."

Uhh... didn't you just tell me that it was IN STOCK? Well, I was a bit disappointed, but didn't cancel my order. To their credit, FuturePowerPc.com sent me an update e-mail every day. Even so, it took about four days for the product to ship.

I would order from FuturePowerPc.com again simply because other customers have had such good experiences and they did a good job of keeping me posted, but lying to me over the phone (or being too lazy to actually check) is not acceptable, so they'll take a hit in my rating.

Dissatisfied.

Placed order 7-29-2004. Said it will be in stock and will ship shortly after 7-30-2004.
"Shortly" meant 8-11-2004. They ignored nearly all of my emails, and their phone service was only accessible once. Their online ticket submission system is slow, awkward, and useless. They simply ignored my complaints. They also charged my credit card on 7-30-2004 before they had it in stock.

I will never order again from this unreliable, uncommunicative company.

I called before placing my order because I knew the video card was on back order at all resellers. I was told it was in fact on back order and I chose to buy from Future because of the great price they had knowing I would wait no matter who I would order from. The only issue I have as of today is that they billed my credit card yesterday and I know for sure they won't even ship this for another week if not more. If Future reads this, please understand that as consumers we appreciate companies that bill when they ship. I just ordered a monitor last week from another reseller and they charged my credit card when the item was signed at my door with UPS, now THAT is customer satisfaction!

Poor shipping time. Shipment was promised on Feb 2, but did not ship until Feb 9, which just so happens to be the day I called to check why it hadn't shipped yet. The item I purchased had also fallen in price during this time, and they would not give me the price break. I will be crossing FuturePowerPC.com off of my list for future orders.

Decent price on a tough to find item.
It turned out that the item was backordered which was not indicated at any time during purchase- as this was a fairly time-sensitive project I was off to a rough start with Future Power PC.

The support line was busy all day but JUST at closing time I got through- polite and helpful personnel and a fair substitue was available.

Due to an error on my part (entered cell phone number instead of home number) further delay occurred while they checked the validity of the order. I can accept that, and once again, customer support was pleasant to deal with although hard to contact.

The product arrived on Tuesday while it had originally been ordered for Friday delivery the week before.

Not my best online purchase experience ever, but due I may deal with them again.

Overall I would say that while I would not give them an excellent rating, I would give them acceptable but note that they don't seem to be the most well-organized online vendor I have dealt with.

And I have dealt with quite a few.

I ordered a printer from here. Shipping took quite awhile (maybe cause I ordered right before the holidays). One thing that I did find puzzling was that the foam used to protect the printer was damaged badly. I've gotten shipments from UPS before and none have been in this bad condition. Could it be because of FuturePowerPC.com? But the prices were good, and the printer works fine, but I'm reluctant to recommend them considering the condition of the packaging.

Weird, to say the least. Ordered it on a Thursday evening, and it wasn't shipped as of Tuesday morning. Called to complain and upgrade to 2-day shipping, and was told that 2-day shipping would take 4 days, two to the manufacturer and two for the shipping. So, I said, 2 day shipping means 4 days, and 3-day shipping means 5 days (not including weekends). They said yes. So, since my laptop died and I was in dire straites, I said I wanted 2-day air (really 4-day). And then it arrived in two days (a week after I ordered it, but two business days before it was supposed to arrive). Go figure. If you can follow this track, you're pretty good. It was awfully confusing, but turned out good, and at a great price. JOHN

The product is great BUT the ad recommended a cable to connect when there was ONE INCLUDED WITH THE PRODUCT AUTOMATICALLY, so I bought an unnecessary product. When the package got here, it literally fell open. The product was fine and fortunately it seemed all enclosures were still intact. Very poor wrapping for shipping.

First Advertised price on Pricewatch was great ($412 for iPod Photo 60 GB 2nd. Gen), and everything went fantastic with my online order.

However, I decided to change my order to something else listed by FuturePowerPC.com on Pricewatch. The representative that I spoke to on the phone handled it great and I was able to get a 1st Gen iPod instead of the 2nd Gen. They told me it was backordered and wouldn't ship for three or four days, though. I said that was no problem and I'd take it.

Unfortunately, they didn't honor the Pricewatch price for that device. That was listed at $425 on PW and $440 on FuturePowerPC's site. The guy on the phone did (seem to) ask his supervisor, though. He said that the PW price hadn't been updated (they get updated manually) and they couldn't honor that price.

That was a disappointment but $440 was still a good price, so I said to go ahead and make the change. To my surprise, later that day, I got an email that said my order had been processed and was ready for shipping.

I thought that FPPC.com was backordered on that particular iPod... I like to think that somebody pulled a string or two in order to get my order shipped out because of the Pricewatch mistake.

Thanks to FuturePowerPC.com for that!
