This company is horrible. Customer service over the phone seems to be limited to a single phone line, and it's the same person every time you call. They sent me a DOA computer processor and refused to refund me or exchange it.

First of all, I have never ordered from this company before. I checked out their reseller rating before I placed the order. I ordered a hot priced digital camera 11/28/05. The camera was "IN STOCK". 1 week passes, no notice, nothing. I emailed. Received a reply about the A520 being on backorder. I found a much better deal, in stock, elsewhere which shipped out the next day. I continued to receive SPAM from futurepowerpc which I opted NOT to receive. Their order process is so 1998, having to create an account to place an order? I created an account which I'll never use. I have a question for the readers of these reviews. Doesn't it seem odd that A LOT of positive comments about this site appear from people with one (1) store rating? I guess these people only shop at FuturePowerPC and they are TOTALY happy with their one vendor. This review was modified by its author, Bill_A, on

We ordered and paid for two day shipping. Now, three days later, they still have not shipped our order. The order amount was over $700.
We called for three hours staight and got no answer. We sent 5 emails...no answer.

On November 19, 2004 I ordered a BFG 6800 GT OC from Futurepowerpc.com. I purcahsed using their online store. Upon ordering the item was in fact, in stock.
Their website says it takes no more than 48 hours for processing. After a week, i sent an email asking for an explanation as to why my video card was not at my door step. They told me the card was out of stock. I informed them it was listed as "In Stock" on their website. They declined to help me in my predicament as to not having a video card.
They lied on three occations as to when my video card would be shipped, purely to keep my order. After the third lie fell through, i told them to cancel my order and bought the bfg 6800 Ultra OC from another company (which i have reviewed).

Truly bad customer service and fraudulent business practice. I placed an order for qty 15 PNY 6800GT cards from their pricewatch.com ad. They had one of the cheapest selling prices on there at $369 shipped. I placed an order and a received an order confirmation. The next day I received a phone call to verify that i did indeed place an order for qty 15 pieces. I told them that it was me who placed the order, i also told them my credit card issuer is expecting the charge. Then the rep says on orders this size sometimes they might need to do a wire transfer in case of fraudulent activity. I told the rep, that I am the card holder, and that I am shipping to my billing address. they can call the credit card company and verify the info and also have their fraud dept call me if they have any issues. The guy then said it should be no problem since i do not have a different shipping address.
Almost two weeks passed and no shipment. I send a request on their website to ck order status, an email came back a day later saying they need a wire transfer even though they accept credit cards. I emailed back and told them I was assured by the rep that it is ok and that if there are any probs they will call me back. I told them to charge my card and ship it, when i placed the order the rep told me it would go out that day and they had plenty of cards in stock to fulfill my order.
Then i logged in the next day and found out that they cancelled my order. I did a little more snooping on their site and found out they raised their selling price from $369 to $399. It looks like they didnt want to ship my order and made up all sort of excuses to not ship it so they can jack up the price on the item. My credit card is used for purchases in excess of 30k per month and sometimes with single charges of over 10k per transaction so I already knew my card would not have been a problem. STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENDOR, THEY ARE DISHONEST, DO NOT LET YOU KNOW REGARDING THE STATUS OF YOUR ORDER, CANCEL YOUR ORDER TO SELL THE ITEMS FOR MORE!

Updated review: Had another good experience with FPPC. This time it was purchasing a Lian Li case and add-ons from FPPC. They had the best price for the case and were very helpful when I needed to add another accessory to my order after part of it had shipped. Plus, their location in NY makes for extremely fast shipping to me in Boston. I look forward to using them again.
Previous review 2004: Ordered some harder-to-find Taiyo Yuden (Plextor branded) DVD+Rs. FuturePowerPC had the best price by far, low shipping, and lowest total price. Gave me the best price on the net on a hard to find item. Their free shipping arrived in 7 days from NY to California. Item arrived as described with no problems. I would highly recomend this site. They delivered the best deal when others were jacking the prices on the same item.

i ordered a mini ipod for my daughter from them. their price was great and delivery was punctual. i was notified at all the appropriate times. i would definitely order from them again.

I ordered an AMD Athlon 64 3400+ Clawhammer cpu. Other sites like Newegg (great btw) was selling this for almost $100 more because AMD doesn't make them anymore and a lot of people want the 1mb L2. Shipped out fast and had no problems. Would shop there again.

I called before placing my order because I knew the video card was on back order at all resellers. I was told it was in fact on back order and I chose to buy from Future because of the great price they had knowing I would wait no matter who I would order from. The only issue I have as of today is that they billed my credit card yesterday and I know for sure they won't even ship this for another week if not more. If Future reads this, please understand that as consumers we appreciate companies that bill when they ship. I just ordered a monitor last week from another reseller and they charged my credit card when the item was signed at my door with UPS, now THAT is customer satisfaction!

Poor shipping time. Shipment was promised on Feb 2, but did not ship until Feb 9, which just so happens to be the day I called to check why it hadn't shipped yet. The item I purchased had also fallen in price during this time, and they would not give me the price break. I will be crossing FuturePowerPC.com off of my list for future orders.

I ordered a printer from here. Shipping took quite awhile (maybe cause I ordered right before the holidays). One thing that I did find puzzling was that the foam used to protect the printer was damaged badly. I've gotten shipments from UPS before and none have been in this bad condition. Could it be because of FuturePowerPC.com? But the prices were good, and the printer works fine, but I'm reluctant to recommend them considering the condition of the packaging.

Very straightforward and pleasant transaction. I ordered a DVD Burner (NEC ND-1300a). It was packed well and received promptly. I'll definitely consider them for another purchase in the future.
