I was looking for a place to fix the brightness on my Sony CPD-G500 and found AccurateIT with Google. Cost me $90 plus shipping (~$40), but it was worth it! My monitor looks *much* better now. Shipping was fast, and the monitor was well packed. Email correspondence was prompt and courteous. I highly recommend them for monitor repair. If you have a nice monitor like the G500, it's a lot cheaper to get it fixed than to buy a new one.

I ordered a 21inch dell trinitron monitor from these guys for a good price (new overstock). It was shipped the next day. Five days later I got the monitor but the whole front was smashed and the monitor didn't work. AccurateIT issued a call tag to fedex who picked up the monitor and AccurateIT shipped the second monitor the same day (cross-shipped). I was quite satisfied with the purchase and would buy from AccurateIT again as well as recommend to my friends.

I ordered two 17" Dell Trinitron monitors and a very good price. Shipping was $30 a piece, making it still a pretty decent deal. I used UPS Ground and it took 8 days, so that was as expected. Not expected, was just one monitor. I emailed their sales department and asked about the second. I got an email back the next morning saying they will look into it on Monday (Got the email Sat morning) So, I'm not to happy about that wait, but as long as it gets here shortly after monday I'll have no complaints.
*Edit* Well, they shipped out my second monitor via FedEx Ground. In total for my complete order it will have been (according to FedEx's estimated arrival date) 17 days (June 20-July 7). Everything other then them shipping only half my order initaily and then sending out the second half slowly was fine. I would hope that its a fluke and would give them another chance whenever I may want another monitor. This review was modified by its author, Zebdawg, on

Not quite 7 months ago I bought a Compaq P1220 from AccurateIT. I could've got one for less than half the cost on ebay but I thought that I had a better chance getting something good going with a refurbished monitor over a plain old used one, plus the warranty was nice. Turns out I was wrong. The first one they sent had some problems with the horizontal size fluctuating and it died within 30 days. They sent me a new one without me having to even send the broken one back which was nice. The second one was ok for the first 3 days and then it too developed similar problems although to a much lesser extent. It's still alive but recently it has started acting weird and I'm afraid it won't last much longer, I hope I'm wrong. I did some checking and found out this isn't an uncommon problem with this particular model (I wish I'd known that before I ordered) so I asked them if they knew why it was doing this and if they could fix it, hoping that since it was a common problem it had a known solution. Unfortunately, they didn't seem to know what the problem is and after getting two with the same problem I didn't think asking for a replacement was a good idea since I felt I didn't have very good chances of getting something better and I could always get something like the first one again..
I think that this particular model has a design flaw so I was bound to have problems eventually anyway. I just feel that if it was properly refurbished it should have taken a lot longer, maybe years, for them to show up. Frankly, I have to question whether these are refurbished at all or just plain used.
On the plus side, both monitors had/have very good picture quality.

I bought a refurbished Dell P1130 21" monitor from them. It shipped the next day and arrived 5 days later. However, upon unpacking it, I discovered several scratches and cracks, as well as a non functioning power button(wouldn't stay on). I emailed AccurateIT several times, and even called them, but was told to wait. Finally, a damaged merchandise call tag was issued, but not after many email and calls. The old monitor was returned, and after a few days the replacement monitor was shipped. I only just got it today, 3 weeks after the original purchase. The replacement monitor was not packaged very well, with visible damages to the box. Upon unpacking the monitor, I found the packaging to be all over the place. Fortunately, the monitor appears to be in decent condition, but a power cable was not included. Also, the replacement monitor appears to be less sharp/focused than the original one. After all this hassle, I would rethink about getting a refurbished monitor, especially one from AccurateIT.

Repeat customer, satisfied until I had a problem. They ignored my request for an RMA for a month. They ignored my emails asking for some attention to the request.
The prices look good, until you find out that the warranties are fraudulent. Buy only if you're willing to live with a DOA because you won't get any customer service out of these guys.
I saw at PriceGrabber that lately they've been pulling the "you must call customer service" trick despite the fact that the website says the exact opposite. This is telling, since it's the only mode of communication that leaves no legal record of the interaction.
If you MUST buy from this company, use EBay for your own protection.

I placed an order for a monitor I needed to ship to a customer with one of our computer systems on 6-24-04. My credit card was immediately charged, but the unit did not show shipping in progress until 6-29-04. On 7-3 the package still showed it had not left the shipper (Fedex) all they had was the shipping transmittal (according to FEDEX) but no monitor. I notified AccurateIt many times about the problem, they kept insisting it had shipped. It is now 7-8-04 (15 days from the order) and I still have no monitor. My last communication told them to get the unit here by Friday 7/9 or cancel, so they wrote me back blaming Fedex and telling me not to be "nasty". I guess I should be happy that I had to pay for another monitor for my customer, while they have had my money for over 2 weeks, and i have no product!
