I have made many purchases from Play-Asia and my orders came to my home usually between 5 and 10 days. My last purchase took a month to arrive but before it arrived I asked Play-Asia for assistance and they were quick and helpful.
I'm happy with Play-Asia and I will order again with them.

I've been using Play-Asia for around 3 years now, and while they were excellent in the first couple of years, the standards have dropped significantly over the past few months.
The story began when I placed a pre-order for Idolmaster for the DS in July 2009, with a release date set for September 2009. Later, I added another DS game to the order.
The September release date arrived and Play-Asia shipped my order out to me. While it took around 5 to 7 days in the past to get my goods, 14 days seems to be the norm nowadays.
Upon opening the package, I discovered that Play Asia had forgotten to ship Idolmaster along with the package, only giving me the DS game that I had added later (although now, I'd like to believe that they forgot), despite charging my card for both games.
I didn't think much of it as people do make mistakes. So I emailed them, and they said they would get new stock within a week from their supplier.
One week turned into one month, and one month then turned into two. Not a single word was heard from them. I emailed them again, and received the following message:
"I am very sorry for the delay in shipping your order. There is a sudden delay in restocking. We regret the restocking date is still not confirmed. We will try to get the stock and ship your order as soon as possible. If there are any news, we will contact you. For the time being, we kindly request for your patience."
Incidentally, another order of mine (a recently released guide book) at Play-Asia was also being delayed, and when I emailed them about the other order, I got the exact same reply.
Come on, Play-Asia. Not only are cut-and-paste messages a poor way of showing your sincerity towards your customers, do you honestly expect me to believe that a large, prominent company like yours, or your suppliers cannot get hold of a game which has only been out for 2 months? Or a book released just last month? Or give me a rough date of delivery instead of leaving me to wait in frustration? I'm beginning to wonder if you are serious at all about fulfilling my orders. Your suppliers must be shaking their legs at the warehouse.
A person would be an idiot to continue on with this after 5 months of waiting, but I do want to believe that they're working their hardest and give them the benefit of the doubt, since they've wowed me in the past with their service. But so far, they're not showing me that they're even trying. This review was modified by its author, KTEZ, on

I've never ever went through anything like this in my life before, when ordering something from online. I have been told to becareful when I order things on the internet and it hit me, yes.
It's been approximately 40 days since I made an order of 1 ps3 game from play-asia and I live in s.korea. I mean going through this for buying something for my very first time is pretty rediculius. I wrote to play-asia like 232976479246 times, but they just keep writing back saying "be paitence" C'mon it's been 40 days!
I don't recommend anyone from s.korea ordering games from this site if you dont want to go through what I did. And btw I still haven't gotten my item yet from them.........Sad This review was modified by its author, yao, on

The stock indicators on their website are really misleading, I made two orders specifically because some of the items I wanted were 24 hrs ship time and some were 5-15 days. It turned out the items that were in stock and ship in 24 hrs were actually not in stock and took over two weeks to ship. Customer service was not very helpful about this.
Once the items were shipped they were shipped via a cheaper method of shipping. To their credit though, they did refund me the difference in shipping cost. This review was modified by its author, guntervi, on

Play-Asia is a really great and the best online store which I ever found!
Although the delivery time always takes around 6-7 weeks (which really makes me so worried about my package), but Play-Asia is very reliable. Yeah because I choose free shipping. I always receive my goods in excellent condition. I ever ordered some PS2 games, a PS3 game, and some books.
I will be glad to order more from Play-Asia. Please look forward for my next orders..
I also hope Play-Asia will reduce the price for action figure.
Thank you. ^_^

Hello there! I am new to Play-asia.com. Had recently placed an order in October and the item was shipped in 2nd NOV (Demon's souls Deluxe edition). I would admit that the customer service is superb, before and after i placed the order.
The problem is my stuff haven't arrived yet, it is 22 days by now. I started to worry a bit, due to my experience with Amazon was 14 days the latest, and Ebay from UK and US 10 to 14 days.
And I started to email them from the 14 day onwards, and have few replies from Customer Service, asking me to extend my Patience. Well! until 22 days (i email them to seek advice for the solution), and I got email from Michelle (i highly appreciate her reply), which is as follows
Thank you for contacting Play-Asia.com
I am very sorry to hear about this delay when delivering your order. Can
you please kindly give us your postal address for verification to see if
this matches up with the info we have on file? We are going to
investigate in our local post office.
If you have any further question, please do not hesitate to ask.
So thats it for now, will update you guys when i have response from PA stuff.
after a day i received message like this,
Your address matches up with our file. We are now going to start
investigation in the post office here. Please understand it always last
for 3 weeks. I kindly ask you for patience. Please inform us when you
receive your parcel.
According to our experience, the delivery time of the parcel usually takes
longer time near Christmas as it is the peak time in postal service. Your
parcels may arrive later.
then i replied them, straight away i got the response which is as follows:
You can contact us for the investigation result after 3 weeks if you still
cannot receive the parcel.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience caused.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Not bad huh!!!! Well, what i can do now is looking forward for the arrival of my stuff.
latest update on 30 Nov. I finally got the item, AND IS PERFECT!!!!! I am so happy and satisfied!!!!! Thank you Play-Asia, Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This review was modified by its author, 458italia, on

This is the second time i was fooled by the estimated shipping date by Playasia.
Im utterly disappointed when I have sent so many queries and no reply.
The second ticket I sent was query if I can cancel the order as I am frustrated with the "I see no problem" attitude from playasia.
If they wont have satisfied answer and refuse to cancel my order this time again. I will never ever purchase from this shop again.
It is really disappointing after so many years of patronizing this shop.

I have made many purchases from play-asia and have never had any issues. They usually ship Imported Game Systems via Piroity so you get it within a week. They always have a great selection and prices are in line with Japanese MSRP compared to other sites and on ebay where the same games are listed $20 above play-asia. You have nothing to worry about when you order from them.

I just had my first order with Play-Asia, which was a PS3 game. To my surprise, it took only three days from when I placed my order until when the game was delivered to my home (in Vietnam).
Play-Asia has a very large game list with nice prices (most of their games are cheapest among the online shops I know). If you're buying video games online, they are definitely the number one choice.
If in the rare cases your order isn't coming within the expected time, I'm sure 99% of all times it's the delivery services' fault, not Play-Asia's. If you want you can always choose one of the courier shipping services (I did) - more expensive, but very fast and safe delivery in return.
They also have excellent customer support service - fast and simple but easy to understand responses.
Without a doubt, I'll continue purchasing games from Play-Asia whenever I have a chance in the future. This review was modified by its author, Freewing, on

I reached a small milestone with PA and thought that this was the perfect opportunity to write a review for them. It is now almost a year since I started shopping with them and just finished placing my 136th order with them. I have been very skeptical to purchase from online stores, but shopping with play asia has been a breeze. All my orders have been processed smoothly and I have never had a problem with pre-orders or the postal service. Even if there was a problem, their support has been more than helpful in resolving any concerns.
Play asia might not be the cheapest for all products but as I compared with other sites, they are cheapest for most of the products they have on their catalog and the $5 discount coupons are also the best.
I first visited their site for games, but now I practically purchase everything on their catalog.
5 stars from a very satisfied customer! This review was modified by its author, k1327online, on

Only one word, great.
I ordered 3 music CD's from them.
One CD stated that it was ready to ship in 24 hours.
While the other 2 was due to ship in about 5-15 Days.
To my surprise, it only took them 5 days to ship it. Which is true to the date that they stated on the product information.
When the product arrived, it was nicely packed and organized.
I will be happy to do business with play-asia again! This review was modified by its author, gryphus, on

I have ordered successfully before with good experience and my friends have had good experience ordering from Play-Asia.
This is a recent bad experience ordering a Region 3 (Asia) game from Play-Asia. The Batman Arkham Asylum finally shipped a month after my pre-order after nearly 3 weeks after launch due to stock shortage. To my horror, the game that arrived 3 weeks later was a Region 2 (UK) Batman Arkham Asylum. The R3 Product Code (BLAS-XXXXX) was pasted over the Region 2 globe. Luckily I recognized the different packaging (PEGI rating) as well as the different product code BLES-XXXXX before I opened the game.
Please note that where I am (Asia), a Region 2 (UK) PS3 game is inferior to a Region 1 (US) or a Region 3 (Asia) due to:
1) Difficulty to purchase PSN DLC due to the requirement of a UK credit card
2) Poor resale value when compared to R1 and R3 games.
The explanation from their customer service was that was the stock delivered to them from their Asian supplier.
To their credit, they have since taken back the game and refunded my purchase price + return shipping with minimal fuss.
Due to this experience, I will have reservations ordering Region 3 games from Play-Asia. I noticed Batman is now back in stock, but am very worried I will get a R2 again. I would strongly suggest Play-Asia to engage their suppliers so that this does not happen again.
Any attempt to replace the game should first have the agreement of the customer and stated clearly. I would also suggest that Play-Asia start displaying the UK/Europe sign/flag for these products so that customers are aware. A game I recall where Play-Asia passes a UK PS3 game for a Asia P3 game is Sacred 2 (Catalog number BLES-00410) This review was modified by its author, ZenMY, on

I purchased NFS:Shift with Play-Asia and had technical issues with the game. The staff sent a replacement but this also had the same problem and so was returned. The company agreed to refund the price minus a small fee and were extremely courteous and helpful in the whole process. I thoroughly recommend their services.
