Avoid!! Yes, I was enticed by the low price (even with the incredibly high shipping and handling) and ignored the plethora of bad press about this website. I thought I'd call before hand, just to make sure the item I was looking for was in stock and for real. Yes, they told me they had 20+ in stock. So I did the stupid thing and "bought" a Belkin Router at a great price. Never again from this reseller. I was smart enough to check back on the website in an hour. Low and behold they were out of stock. I call up, one dude tells me they ran out within the hour and their "system" was just updated. Riiiight. I ask for a refund. Another woman comes on and tells me - he was wrong, the website is wrong and they do have 20+ in stock. No way. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice.... you know how it goes. Canceled the order. Now I just have to keep checking my credit card when they try and bill me anyway. By the way, they did "update" the site showing the item in stock. Not taking that chance. I've bought "Targus Universal Notebook 90Watt AC/DC Adapter APM12US" from this fraud company. They delivered one, but with a wrong cord. Once I've tried to contact them about exchanging or replacing the cord all I got was silence. I've filed a claim with Paypal and immediately received a Unpaid item strike (which was hilarious because they left me a positive rating for being a fast payer :-)). So far so good, I'm still struggling with these spooks for my 43 bucks...
Stay away at all costs.

They sent me a Motherboard that was open already, and after I set it up on my bench, it would only run the fans. After trying numerous brands of memory along with different processors, I applied for the suspicious RMA number.
A couple days later it was granted, and I sent back the completed suspect form and labeled the box and had the arrival confirmed by my shipper.
It's been 8 business days now with no response. Guess I will have to contact the attorney general to get their attention!
What an expensively bad experience! Never again will I buy from a company without a little research!

I ordered the wrong product with free shipping and asked for a refund being redirected to their site address and clicking on there return option, then filling out a dreadful RMA form to print out.
I was approved to return the products ordered at my cost.
I was refunded less then what I had payed, but took this as an experience to not do business with this company.

Please read the reviews here carefully, I wish I had. This vendor does not seem to have a very good track record.
I purchased a 'New' Jetway ATX socket 478 motherboard from GearXS on 8-23-08 (which was a Saturday) and received it on 8-28-08. It was supposed to be 3 day ground shipping. I believe it may have been delayed a touch because I specified that I wanted the motherboard tested to guarantee a no DOA item and I ordered on a weekend - so the 5 day wait didn't bother me much.
After installing the motherboard and turning it on for the first time, the power supply fan spun but nothing powered on. I made sure everything was connected properly and tried again... same thing. After removing the RAM I did not receive any system beeps. I troubleshooted this issue for about an hour, and finally gave up. This motherboard was most definitely a DOA item. After reading the reviews here I decided to cut my losses and not submit an RMA, good thing the motherboard was cheap.
Buyer beware! Shop at your own risk with this vendor.

Ordered a cheap computer case for a build I was putting together. I had ordered smaller items (modems, mice) from them before and chose to order here due to a free shipping special, but was mildly concerned due to some of the reviews here. Happy to say, the case arrived in excellent condition. Gearxs had packaged the manufacturers case box in a larger box for shipping, something which not enough companies do to prevent damage. Would definitely order here again.

I ordered from GearXS and totally unhappy and irritated. I ordered a new Samsung 18x DVD+RW, received broken one that didn't read any disks, made weird noises and finally wouldn't even open the disk tray and died. On the top of the player you can clearly see the had a Sony sticker on top and added a Samsung sticker on top of that. I also ordered Samsung 2gb kit ram and received a completely generic brand and I also ordered a pair of Logitech gaming headset and the left ear piece cuts in and out from the start. The did finally send me a RMA # and form after days since my request and I honestly do not trust these guys at all to even waste my time sending back. I'll end up extending my headache with this company and pay even more money to be screwed with further. DO NOT BUY from this company. Shop at Newegg and be safe. I'm just taking this as a loss and I'll be very weary of online businesses forever after this experience. I didn't even get an apology. Instead the email me saying wrong accidental part delivered or something like that. No.. they sold me a bogus dvd+rw and they simply slap different name brand stickers on the top and are junk. The fed's should be investigating this company for fraud, I'm serious.
Update: 07/06 I read below that they bought from GearXS through eBay and now not on there. I just checked and they are on there and actually have a 96.9% positive rating. I'm not sure how that is possible considering how all other reviews are horrible. They definitely screwed me intentionally but I bought from their web site using Pricewatch (I also don't trust) Maybe they take better care of eBay transactions.
Added note: I use to trust Pricewatch until another company screwed me around a little bit on a delay and I gave a neutral review on the PW review asking to call me and was altered by the company (seller) into a positive and saying thanks for a hard drive I previously ordered. ***BEWARE OF THIS SELLER*** Ordered DVD Burner on 13JUN08. Received item a couple of days later that was insufficiently packaged and was broken. Seller e-mailed me a RMA form that was really long. Contacted FEDEX and had broken item returned. Waited 12 days and sent this email -
"Could you please forward the status of this RMA please. TX"

What do you mean 30 days? You guys didn't pack it right and it got crushed by FEDEX. If you've even looked at the DVD player I'd say the problem is pretty much in your face. I paid $40.98 for a DVD Burner that works. I did not pay $40.98 to maybe get a functioning DVD player in 2 months. I don't know what your scheme there is but let me propose a different solution - send me a functioning DVD player of the same type I purchased or return my money - today.
After seeing the other reviews of GEARXS.com my hopes are not high but I am going to complain to the Illinois State Attorney General FEDEX, and the Better Business Bureau.

Very disappointing. Purchased:” 1 x Samsung 18X External LightScribe DVD Burner SE-S184M Black with Software - NEW (SE-S184M) = $55.88 WARRANTY DIRECT MANUFACTURE WARRANTY”
Received product quickly, but the new unit did not come in an original manufacture box. The power supply unit had a discount sticker from “Best Buy” and is missing two prongs so did not work with this unit or any other external computer unit owned. Used alternate power supply from an external hard drive only to find that the Samsung burner unit was completely dead. Telephone call & email to GearXS proved unsuccessful as they claimed unit was under one year warranty and I could only go through manufacture. Correction: email was never responded to. Contacted Samsung to find out that the unit was no longer under warranty – considered an old writer. Samsung did finally send RMA to return item (shipping to be paid by me.) Samsung finally accepted unit and sent refurbished unit as replacement. Refurbished unit does power up, but doesn’t respond to either manual or computer requested eject. Able to open unit if the unit is turned off while using paper clip in emergency open slot. Once DVD is properly in unit, unit unable to read or recognize disk. 05/15/08 still do not have operable unit. Buyer beware.

Ordered a PS2 headset for Socom. Item was dead on arrival. I immediately went and filled out their online RMA form, which is horrendous to navigate with multiple submit buttons and form information boxes. Did not receive and RMA number for several days. Opened a dispute with Paypal and lo and behold, I received an RMA number in the email right after I started the dispute process. I was later told by a rep from their "ebay division" that "The RMA process is totally automated. You would have received it as soon as you submitted the form." Lie #1.
Sent in the item. Did not hear from the company for 5 days after they received it. Upgraded dispute with Paypal. Suddenly I get a phone call from them stating that "Oh, we just received it on 12/13." Lie #2. Package was signed for at their facility on 11/29. They told me they would refund my money if I would close the dispute with Paypal. Since they had just lied to me (twice!), I told them I would close the dispute when I got my money back or the product returned in working order.
After this discussion they left this on my feedback page: "We have repeatedly sent emails. Called customer. No response, but bad feedback." Lie #3. Interesting that I have supposedly sent no response after having repeatedly emailed them. I am currently infuriated with them over this particular bit of slander/libel. It is now over 5 weeks since I ordered this thing and they STILL have not gotten me a working item. And they continue to lie... and lie... and lie... DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!
UPDATE: After finally getting a refund from Paypal, they suddenly ship another headset out. The funny part? It's STILL broken! This review was modified by its author, qsilvererie, on
