Ordered book on january 7, 2005. The company claims to have shipped my book on January 10, 2005 but it is now January 25 and I have not received my book. The company has also charged my credit card immediately. Without any customer service numbers, I am very suspicious of this company.

I ordered 2 books and realized very soon after that I had put in an incorrect mailing address. Somehow I was able to contact them and they corrected the problem. Thanks A1books.com. Their prices are unbeatable. The only problem I have now is that my credit card won't go through (the same one i used to make a purchase earlier this year) and I have NO success logging in and finding any customer service link or email address.

I will never, ever, ever, purchase a book from this site again. I purchased three items from Amazon.com to be sent to my daughter in LA (I'm in PA) and she received the other two promptly. She never received the book from A1. I have corresponded with A1 five times (the fifth being today, 11/7) and asked them to refund my money (first e-mail to them on 9/1). Basically, they give you the runaround with e-mails that don't answer the question, probably in hopes that you'll give up. Maybe the book was only $15.50 or something, but it is the principle - this is bad business and customers do not deserve this service. As a matter of fact, since they are based out of New Jersey, I'll be contacting the NJ Better Business Bureau. So, buyer - BEWARE.

T E R R I B L E ! Company claimed 3-day shipment on all items. I ordered a textbook which I could get along without for a couple weeks. They didn't even let me know that it would ship late, and although I ordered on the 4th, they didn't even ship until the 20th!!! It took over three weeks to arrive! When I complained about this to the company, they just told me that they had had a rush because of the beginning of the semester... DUH! The only thing they offered was to allow me to send it back if I no longer needed it. Lame. Very lame. Otherwise the book was as promised, but I would NEVER buy from them again. I am a mature adult who returned to college to obtain an additional degree in business administration. I placed an order for a textbook August 21, 2004. As of October 1, 2004, have not received the book, however, the payment was withdraw from my bank account within two days of order placement. Company contact is by email only and is time consuming. Customer service has replied to some of my emails, giving excuse #1: shipped, but lost in post office system, and the las one, #2: very busy. The order of the excuses leads me to believe that they "took my money and ran." Told me they would be happy to refund my money upon return of the book (difficult to do since I haven't received it). I will never do business with them again and have filed a complaint with the BBB.

I tried to purchase a textbook from this seller through half.com
They never sent it and never responded to emails. Half.com reported that this seller reported refunding my credit card which never happened. I charge backed the 90 dollars the book cost and this seller fraudulently said they had already refunded me. I provided half.com billing statements showing that this never happened but they still expelled me. Beware this seller. Go look at their reviews on amazon for thousands of negatives. They also change their name to A1-books, A1 tech Books, A1 computer books, watch out, they arew a NJ company, check for the address before buying A1 anything. The store is on the east coast, I'm on the west coast and I recieved the book in 5 days, which is pretty good. The price was great: 50% less than competitors. Book was in mint condition. I have no complaints. Excellent!

I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED! I ORDERED A BOOK FOR MY HUSBAND FOR VALENTINES DAY AND I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN I RECEIVED, THAT I WRAPPED IT AND GAVE IT TO HIM AND IT WAS A CD OF THE BOOK. MY HUSBAND DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A CD PLAYER! I WOULD HAVE NEVER GIVEN THAT TO HIM! I WISH THEY WOULD HAVE JUST E-MAILED ME TO TELL ME THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT IN STOCK! SHERI

I HAD ABSOLUTELY THE SAME EXPERIENCE AS THE LAST POST! I CANCELLED, THEY REFUSE TO CANCEL THE ORDER. I MARKED THE BOX "RETURN TO SENDER" AND GAVE IT BACK TO THE MAILMAN, THEY "CLAIM" THEY DID NOT RECIEVE IT AND WILL NOT GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS RACKET!!!!!!!!!!!11

I went to allbookstores.com to search for a book and came up with a1books.com as the lowest price. I was skeptical at first because I've never heard of the company and resellerratings.com didn't have it listed as one of the store (this new listing of a1books.com is requested by me). I took the chance and bought it on Dec 17, 2003. Within two minutes, I've received a confirmation email about my order so in a way it was some sort of good news. By the end of the month, still no book yet so I went to their website and logged into my account. There wasn't a way to find out if my item had been shipped nor there was a tracking number. So I waited and it arrived on Jan 6, 2004. The confirmation letter that they had sent me did indicated that it takes between 10 to 14 business days for merchandise to arrive. Well, if I don't count weekends and holidays as business days, then my book arrived in 12 days, within 10 to 14 days that they had promised (but doesn't U.S. postal service work on Saturdays?)However, it was sent in a bubble mailer via media mail using mechanical bar codes. There wasn't a sent day stamped so there's no way of telling when it was sent. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt by hoping it was the holiday season and that they shipped it from New Jersey to my home in Texas. My advice to you is if you need your book right away then try to buy it locally. If you can wait at least a week then a1books can save you some money.

1015107 The website is misleading and I was led to thinking that the textbook would arive in 5-7 days when an automated email was sent stating 4-20 days after the purchase. The refuse to cancel my order even after I emailed them 5 minutes after the order was placed. THE COMPANY HAS NO PHONE NUMBER ANYWHERE LISTED. ANY COMPANY THAT DOESN'T PROVIDE A PHONE NUMBER FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE MUST HAVE SOMETHING PRETTY BAD GOING ON. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
