I was looking for a new laptop about a year ago and just happened by this gem of a company. XoticPC goes above and beyond all levels of service. Let’s break it down.
Sales Team: 11 out of 10
I knew little about the products they sold, but knew what requirements I wanted. The employees were all extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They didn't try to push me into a product I didn't need just to sell me more, and actually encouraged me to get the most bang for my buck. They have a great community of very satisfied customers who stick around on the website's forums to help others choose a product or make recommendations for specific needs.
Products: 11 out of 10
The products they sell are of very high quality and go through a rigorous testing phase to weed out bad parts. I have been a member of the forums for almost a year and can count on one hand the number of times I have heard of parts failing (there are close to 700 members who post on the forums, making the failure rate of around 0.7%).
Price: 11 out of 10
Some places online offer a 2-5% discount below a competitor’s regularly priced product. XoticPC does the leg work for you and offers you the 3% cash discount and the lowest price on the web. A quick search today for the Sager NP5796 brings prices as follows
CompanyName/BasePrice/MaxUpgrades
XoticPC.com/$1777/$3454
Discountlaptops.com/$1822/$3474
Sagernotebooks.com/$1939/$3457
Xtremenotebooks.com/$1899/$3853
Speed: 9 out of 10
This may be the one thing XoticPC has not perfected, though I’m not sure I would want them to. You don’t rush an artist, you don’t rush a cook. If you want a really nice product you spend time making sure you have it before delivering. XoticPC does and extensive burn-in on all of its notebooks which adds some time to the final product. I must say though, they do ship as soon as they feel satisfied that it has the quality you deserve. I personally had pre-ordered the NP5792 in November and it was released the 2 weeks before Christmas. After a week of extensive testing, they began construction and shipping of the new notebooks. I received my notebook the day before Christmas Eve without the extra accessories that I had ordered. When I questioned them about this, they told me that they wanted me to have the laptop as soon as possible and will ship the backordered accessories when they arrived. I couldn’t have been happier with there choice.
Integrity: 11 out of 10
XoticPC doesn’t jump onto every bandwagon technology that comes around which gives them a little more credibility than the next reseller. For instance, when everyone started selling the solid state drives XoticPC held off until they knew how the product would perform and decided not to include it when they learned of its flaws. They also won’t build a system with memory that is clocked higher than what the system can recognize just to make an extra buck. Also, as I mentioned before they won’t try to sell you just the biggest and the best. They will find out what you need, how much you were planning on spending, and working off of those parameters. This is the most honest company I have ever run across and will never switch back to the big-names in the business.
Support: 11 out of 10
The tech-support offered is amazing. Between the 24/7 DOMESTIC telephone support, the same-day response e-mail support and regularly answered forums support… there is always someone who knows how to handle a problem. When a RMA is in order it is handled quickly and with the utmost professionalism. I have heard of DVD rom drives going bad and the company shipping a replacement drive ASAP. Any software and driver issues that arise can be dealt with by checking the forums and getting detailed directions on how to update software.
Overall, I trust them. They are reasonably fast at delivering an amazing product and making sure that they have satisfied customers. I was very disappointed when I had ordered a mini-laptop from another reseller a week before they started pre-orders for an even better mini. I will always look to XoticPC first for all my notebook needs. They have a VERY satisfied customer in me!

Great Service, friendly people. I ordered a Compal HGL30 notebook, but my bank delayed the wire transfer to Xotic PC. They never complained and continued building my system though they haven't received the money in time. The notebook was packed safely and shipped promptly. Afterwards, when i needed customer support, Justin was friendly, helpful and knowlegable.
Would definitely recommend XOTIC PC. This review was modified by its author, zeinoonm, on

Outstanding experience! I looked far and wide for an Asus G1 with Windows XP. Finally locating one at Xotic, Justin answered all of my questions and held the system until my Paypal echeck cleared. I got the system in 2 days, which is outstanding for Hawaii. The system runs like a dream and I am more than happy. My future laptop purchases will start with Xotic.

After a few months of searching and many phone calls and emails. I settled on XoticPC as my builder. I even had a few phone calls to Alienware under my belt. However, Justin and the folks at XoticPC blew them away! I received my laptop exactly as promised in a very safe and secure packaging with ZERO damage. After opening the package and firing up my new Sager NP5760, I was amazed right from the start. I've built many desktops myself, but decided that I wanted a gaming laptop, but I was not impressed with many off the selve models and wanted NO part of Vista which hasn't proven anything for the gaming world as of yet. All the bigboys out there including Alienware do NOT build with XP unless your going SLI. XoticPC does, and thats what I wanted. The free Vista upgrade coupon provided will give me Vista when it's a better system. Then I will (maybe) install it. Well crafted and very stable performance along with a clean installation made me feel like I had choosen the best builder out there. If this company continues to offer the quality in workmanship, great service and competetive pricing, this will be the builder to beat! A 10 out of 10 in my eyes! You won't be sorry you ordered from XoticPC at all.

Good product, had a little problem getting the extended warranty. However, Justin at XoticPC contacted me right away regarding this issue. He is probably the only reason, I am taking the time to edit my post and give change my rating to a positive one. Well, he quickly contacted the warranty department (a third party) and fixed the issue. Aparently there was some miscommunication and the issue was resolved. I was given next day shipping (ground because the company is in NJ and I am in MD). Overall, the transaction seems to have finished well with a few bumps here and there. Xotic made a custom-build Compal Hel-80 (laptop computer) for me. Communication was excellent both individually, and Justin at Xotic appears frequently on online forums. The machine arrived in the expected timeframe, even though I'd ordered a CPU that wasn't available at the time of purchase. Packaging was more than adequate, and they even upgraded my shipping to make sure I had the weekend to play with the machine. Very good experience.

I was in the market for a new laptop. I wanted something with good performance at a decent price. After spending weeks researching various brands, features, and online retailers I settled on a Sager NP5760 notebook from Xotic PC. Xotic offered the features I wanted at good price. Plus they deliver to Canada, where I reside.
Justin @ Xotic was very helpful, and polite, in answering any questions or concerns I had about hardware, shipping, etc. I paid for my order by wire transfer (something I had never done before), and his instructions were easy to follow.
The laptop arrived safe and sound a little over two weeks after I ordered; a reasonable amount of time, considering it had to pass through Customs, which probably takes a couple of days. Everything was neatly packed, double boxed, with lots of bubble wrap for good measure.
The only problem, and it was a minor one, was that Sager forgot to send me the external USB floppy drive that I ordered with the laptop. I mentioned this to Justin and he got on it right away. Within a week and a half I had my external floppy drive.
I've been very happy with the laptop since it arrived. I haven't had any problems with it after nearly two months of ownership. Everything works like a charm and it's built quite solid. I highly recommend Xotic PC to anyone in the market for a high performance notebook at a good price. This review was modified by its author, jspaceman, on

I spent a lot of time on google and various bulletin boards looking for user opinions and reviews for a good desktop replacement and settled on the Sager NP5760. I was in a bit of rush as I needed this laptop for a remote audio recording project the following week.
I was originally going to make my purchase from another online merchant because they offered the lowest price. I was just about ready to make my purchase, but decided to ask product related questions through email. I like to test a merchants customer support through email and/or phone to get an indication of what kind of support I'd might expect as a paying customer. While that merchant we good about making prompt replies to my inquiries, I felt that he was a bit pushy and gave me wrong information. I wanted the Intel A/B/G Wifi + Bluetooth + Internal TV tuner options. This merchant told me that I would not be able to have all of those options because there wasn't enough room and expansion slots. I found that kind of weird and stupid. I thought to myself, "Why do you have that option on your configuration page?" The other merchants I looked at offered the same options and decided to investigate further. I want to also mention that the merchant's site looked pretty shabby and homemade, but at that time I was concerned mostly with price and support. In addition, the website didn't have realtime inventory status.
XoticPC was next cheapest vendor. Prior to making my purchase through XoticPC, I noticed that they had a "Live Help" function. So I decided to give it a try. I was expecting it to be an automated response type of support system, but was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by none other than the infamous Justin Nolte. I heard of him and saw several of his very helpful and useful posts through various discussions I happened on through the bulletin boards. Let me say that he is just as friendly and helpful in person or chat rather, as he is in the boards. We spent a good 20mins or so chatting. Part of our chat included the Intel A/B/B WIFI, Bluetooth, and Internal TV tuner options. I mentioned to him that another merchant said that combination wasn't possible. His reply was that as far as he knew it was possible. In fact he double checked to make sure that it was. Long story short, yes it was possible. That's all I wanted to hear. I was ready to buy. I went with the 17" WUXGA, T2600 CPU, 2 GB RAM, 2 x 100GB 7200rpm drives, Spare A/C adapter and battery and the wireless and tv tuner options previously aforementioned. From there our online chat went to the phone to expedite my order process. I was a happy camper. To top things off, Justin gave me a shipping discount for choosing XoticPC over the other vendor and let me say shipping to Hawaii was rediculous. He charged me the cost for shipping to the contintental US. The final price combined with shipping ended up being cheaper than the other merchant. Go figure :)
In the end I chose to make my purchase from XoticPC for a couple of reasons: site design and layout, ease of navigation, realtime inventory status, and super-duper-top-notch customer support. Let me say that this support didn't end with my purchase consultation. Justin followed up with me once after my order was shipped to make sure that I received my package (he knew I was in rush). And then followed up again twice after I received my laptop(through email and telephone, so actually 6x's, but who's counting) to see how my laptop was performing for my remote recording project and to check if I had any problems or questions. I didn't have any issues at all. My Sager NP5760 runs like a Ferrari. It is a true desktop replacement. It's just as fast, maybe even faster than my Athlon FX2 4200 desktop.
I would have no hesitation to make a purchase from XoticPC in the future and highly recommend them. When you're ready to make your purchase, be sure to ask for Justin. He knows his stuff. This review was modified by its author, madskill, on

I'm a new Xotic customer who purchased a Sager
NP980 from them. Xotic's rep was one Justin Nolte.
If he's indicative of the sales reps Xotic is doing one fine job. He was polite, patient, informative, and seemed focused on personally making sure the sale went smoothly.
It didn't stop once the sale was made. When the unit arrived he followed up to make sure I was satisfied with the received merchandise. the few questions I did have he answered swiftly.
he even responded to my giddy and glib comments.
As for the unit itself, it was well packed and exactly as advertised. No missing stuff as I have endured with other vendors. Everything worked right out of the box. Obviously, I'm inclined to make future purchases from them because of the quality of the product they sell and the fact the sales reps know how to treat customers.
Finally, as a Deaf person who routinely encounters sales people who lack patience or respect for the Deaf--my Xotic experience was
extraordinary from start to finish. There's
a fair number of businesses I will never give my money to no matter how much I need what they sell
but Xotic is not one of them.

On behalf of Ogg Design, Inc. XoticPC did a great job with our latest purchase. Buying a high end laptop to run Alias software was a challenge. We always need to purchase the best graphics cards available at the time of selection coupled with the best processor speeds possible, not to mention upgradeable. This is our second purchase via XoticPC and by far the best effort yet.
XoticPC staff made calls to our software provider to guarantee the right choice in card, they balanced special port issues for our license key system. It's a pleasure to do business with a seller that is customer service oriented, works around problems and delivers the needed hardware. When we need other equipment I'll be to XoticPC to shop.

XOTICPC took care of me and my company!
I am the CEO of Kamea Networks & Technology, Inc. It's a small but growing consulting company that provides IT support and high-end custom built workstations to small and medium-sized businesses in the Chicagoland area. I was looking to include truly high-powered laptops into our arsenal of products. While I am not afraid to buy the right tool for the right job, I am also very picky about where every dollar goes, and I expect top-notch treatment from my employees and my vendors... just like I give to my clients. After researching the 9750 model for many months, I felt that this laptop would FINALLY free me from having both a workstation and a laptop.
I blasted out a total of 7 emails to various venders that I had found on the web offering the Clevo D900K model under various names, including Alienware, WidowPC, RJTech, and several others. The contents of this email specified my desire to purchase the unit in more of a "bare book" fashion; meaning without hard drives, OS, and processor. Since this is, hopefully, the first of many units to be bought, I wanted a proof of concept unit for my personal use that could utilize hardware that was already in my lab... no sense paying for hardware that I didn’t need (So I thought… more on that later)
Many of the vendors took their sweet time answering my emails (several days) and some of them would not warranty a machine sold without all of their components stuffed into it. A few, including XOTIC, would!
Justin was excellent at answering my questions truthfully and quickly. He understood my unique business requirements and explained warranty information carefully to me. After comparing warranty information, Xoticpc had the best offerings of anyone, including the vendors that wouldn’t warranty a "stripped" machine. Various other vendors, when I placed phone calls inquiring about specific information, had what I can only describe as a bunch of knuckleheads working the phones. Not who I want to deal with if my client’s machine was to start having problems! Xoticpc was great in general… and Justin specifically.
Xoticpc actually came in a close second on the bottom line after my custom configuration details were sent. However, I really had developed a good feeling about Xoticpc and inquired about them matching the price to earn my business. They actually came in a few $$$'s below and sealed the deal.
Now… what you MIGHT want to hear about is the problems I had, and how Xoticpc worked with me to fix them. As I mentioned, I ordered the laptop without a processor or hard drives. The problem started when I went to install the 2.5” IDE hard drives I had. There was an update that removed support for IDE drives and now only shipped with their proprietary SATA cable assembly. Okay, no biggie…
So I decided to order 2 80-gig drives from Newegg since I had a credit with them. When they arrived, the laptop wouldn’t recognize both drives. So after talking to their separate tech support (the infamous Sager “we’ll call you back” policy) we started troubleshooting the laptop’s issues. First of all, the person I talked to 3 times in a row had some difficulty with English, even though the number I was called from was in California. So muscling thru a heavy Asian accent, we had several attempts in a row to describe the problem being misinterpreted. After FINALLY getting thru to him that I am capable of setting up a RAID array, he agreed to overnight me a new proprietary SATA cable assembly. Didn’t work. After another couple attempts to talk to them, they agreed to take the laptop back and rush-turn around the repair. The person on the other end of the phone was clearly expressing his opinion that I didn’t know what I was doing and was convinced that I had bent pins on the motherboard header where the SATA cable header plugged in due to my "inexperience". So after arguing extensively, I paid out of pocket (due to my time constraints) to overnight the laptop back to them.
Sadly, the drives I ordered from Newegg were quietly documented as incompatible with the VIA chipset on the laptop… so we were both wrong. I bought a single hard drive from them and it was installed and shipped back to me.
Why tell all this? Xoticpc really earned their pay with their dedication to helping me resolve it. Justin stayed cool under considerable pressure from me, and stood up for his company’s products and services (which I admire him for) but still investigated where his processes were failing in this instance and began rectifying it to the best of his abilities. TRUST ME when I tell you that I didn’t make it easy for him.
So as far as I’m concerned, a small ding for the rude support person, but still giving Xoticpc an “A” for their quality and dedication. And you can email me at chach@kameanetworks.com if you want me to verify everything I told you in this review.

Great experience; great product!
Xoticpc was the first of three or four resellers to respond to an initial email query I sent to all of them at once about the desktop replacement notebook make and model I was interested in purchasing. My message went to them on a Saturday afternoon, and Justin at xoticpc responded on Sunday. He also responded within 2-4 hours of each of my subsequent questions, up to the point of making the purchase. I posed some direct, "hard customer" type questions about the quality of product and quality of service that could be expected from xoticpc. Responses were prompt, cordial, and to the point. I knew quickly that I wanted to do business with this company, even after the others responded to the initial query (as much as three to four days afterward).
But there was one hurdle--pricing. The notebook computer I wished to purchase was priced higher at xoticpc than at the other resellers considered. When I noted this difference and provided the evidence, Justin immediately dropped the price reasonably below the others. Based on his commitement, I was willing to make one, too.
My order was shipped on a Friday, two days after the purchase was made on a Wednesday. It arrived at my door on the sixth day, Tuesday. Had I placed the order on a Monday, I believe it would have arrived on Thursday or Friday. The product was solidly and doubly boxed, and well wrapped. The components and configuration were exactly as I ordered. Everything about it worked just fine out of the box, and it has run beautifully ever since. I received a follow-up telephone call from Justin two days later. He wanted to know about the arrival and its condition and my impressions. I fear that I was slightly off-putting to him because I wanted more time to break-in the new computer, but he was again cordial and very understanding, unassuming, and pressed not at all. In response to one of my earlier email queries, Justin affirmed that future interactions and service would be of the same quality as these initial ones. The follow-up call served as evidence of that promise.
A day or two after purchasing the product and it had already shipped, I decided to purchase an extended warranty. This was no problem, and I had the warranty in place before the shipment arrived. However, although I had requested an invoice for the warranty the day it was purchased, I did not receive it until I made another request two weeks later. This is the only blemish in an otherwise stellar experience with xoticpc on this purchase; and I believe it was due to simple oversight, nothing untoward or irresponsible. It certainly is no reason to refrain from considering this company again in the future.
It surprises me that this company is not more visible and more frequently referenced in some of the notebook computer forums. I will do my part to talk them up in discussions of notebook computer resellers. For anyone interested in custom notebook computer purchases, especially in the Sager line, I wholeheartedly and unhesitatingly recommend xoticpc. Top Notch Company!!!!
I have had the most pleasant experience buying from this company. I had the pleasure of getting in contact with the same person every time I contacted XoticPC. He has remembered my name from my very first call. Ask for Justin he is great and knows his tech.
I bought their AMD64 dual core line up of desktop replacements the "Sager." they personally helped me over the phone come up with exactly what I was looking for and than they even took the time to allow me to pay for it with part Credit Card over the phone and part Pay Pal. They were more than willing to work hard for my business and were flexible to my needs.
I received my laptop with in a week and have had zero problems with it. Although from my experience so far I can tell that if one ever occurs they won’t hesitate to do everything they can for me.
But the top reasons they are so great is simple MONEY!
My laptop is almost two times better than the Alienware laptop in the same price range. It’s the same thing folks down to the nuts and bolts. Except I have a bigger processor more ram better video card better monitor and a better warranty.
Thank you XoticPC.com

Xotic PC leaves the competition in the dust! I wanted a high performance Laptop so I started shopping online. The usual stores just did not have the power I was looking for. Did a Google search for High Performance PCs. Of the 4 most interesting results, one was from another country, so that left 3. I went to each of the 3 sites and customized all as close to each other as possible with the Specs I wanted. Those Alien guys really must be from another planet to even think that someone would pay that much ($500 more). The other place had the best price but less standard features. Xotic, by far, surpassed the field for quality, price & options. Financing was a breeze and the building was underway shortly after the order. I have to give one warning, if you are in a hurry, go to Wal-Mart. If you want a machine to blow everybodys doors off, be patient. All masterpieces take time. 2 weeks is not to long wait for a masterpiece! Customer Support was great. I inflicted my own grief that rendered the system unable to get to the desktop. Justin had me up and running in no time! Great place, great service, great communication. Next time there will be no need to search. I'll go back to Xotic PC in a heartbeat! Long Live my 3.6 P4 and the Geforce 7800 256MB video card. Bring on all those high end games ... I'm laughing at the software/hardware requirements! Thanks Justin.
