I was looking for a new laptop about a year ago and just happened by this gem of a company. XoticPC goes above and beyond all levels of service. Let’s break it down.
Sales Team: 11 out of 10
I knew little about the products they sold, but knew what requirements I wanted. The employees were all extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They didn't try to push me into a product I didn't need just to sell me more, and actually encouraged me to get the most bang for my buck. They have a great community of very satisfied customers who stick around on the website's forums to help others choose a product or make recommendations for specific needs.
Products: 11 out of 10
The products they sell are of very high quality and go through a rigorous testing phase to weed out bad parts. I have been a member of the forums for almost a year and can count on one hand the number of times I have heard of parts failing (there are close to 700 members who post on the forums, making the failure rate of around 0.7%).
Price: 11 out of 10
Some places online offer a 2-5% discount below a competitor’s regularly priced product. XoticPC does the leg work for you and offers you the 3% cash discount and the lowest price on the web. A quick search today for the Sager NP5796 brings prices as follows

This may be the one thing XoticPC has not perfected, though I’m not sure I would want them to. You don’t rush an artist, you don’t rush a cook. If you want a really nice product you spend time making sure you have it before delivering. XoticPC does and extensive burn-in on all of its notebooks which adds some time to the final product. I must say though, they do ship as soon as they feel satisfied that it has the quality you deserve. I personally had pre-ordered the NP5792 in November and it was released the 2 weeks before Christmas. After a week of extensive testing, they began construction and shipping of the new notebooks. I received my notebook the day before Christmas Eve without the extra accessories that I had ordered. When I questioned them about this, they told me that they wanted me to have the laptop as soon as possible and will ship the backordered accessories when they arrived. I couldn’t have been happier with there choice.
Integrity: 11 out of 10
XoticPC doesn’t jump onto every bandwagon technology that comes around which gives them a little more credibility than the next reseller. For instance, when everyone started selling the solid state drives XoticPC held off until they knew how the product would perform and decided not to include it when they learned of its flaws. They also won’t build a system with memory that is clocked higher than what the system can recognize just to make an extra buck. Also, as I mentioned before they won’t try to sell you just the biggest and the best. They will find out what you need, how much you were planning on spending, and working off of those parameters. This is the most honest company I have ever run across and will never switch back to the big-names in the business.
Support: 11 out of 10
The tech-support offered is amazing. Between the 24/7 DOMESTIC telephone support, the same-day response e-mail support and regularly answered forums support… there is always someone who knows how to handle a problem. When a RMA is in order it is handled quickly and with the utmost professionalism. I have heard of DVD rom drives going bad and the company shipping a replacement drive ASAP. Any software and driver issues that arise can be dealt with by checking the forums and getting detailed directions on how to update software.
Overall, I trust them. They are reasonably fast at delivering an amazing product and making sure that they have satisfied customers. I was very disappointed when I had ordered a mini-laptop from another reseller a week before they started pre-orders for an even better mini. I will always look to XoticPC first for all my notebook needs. They have a VERY satisfied customer in me!

I originally purchased a new gaming notebook from XoticPC on October 28th of this year. This is my first time investing money into a system that isn't likely to be outdated within the next 3 months, unlike the HPs and the Gateway I have previously owned. I decided to go with XoticPC after seeing all of the good reviews, and positive comments posted by members of a forum that I frequent. There was one other vendor I considered, but had a horrible experience with one of their reps before I ever placed an order. On the other side of the coin, Xotic has been extremely helpful and Justin is there to provide service after the sale just as he was before and during the sale. My original order was delievered without a hitch in about a week and a half. It's a custom build, high-end PC, so you can't expect to have it the very next day! Well, not if you want a quality build. I was 100% satisfied at that point. After a week or so of tweaking and tinkering.. I managed to have an issue with the system. As a matter of fact, I created the issue by having a faulty BIOS flash. That killed my motherboard, and I couldn't recover it. Justin took it upon himself to personally handle the situation, by providing me with an RMA ticket over the weekend when they're normally closed. He communicated with the service center, and had them mark my RMA as urgent. I shipped the package overnight on Tuesday, their service dept received it on Wednesday, and by Saturday I had a delivery from UPS. That's expedited service! I didn't expect to receive it until the following week - which Today is Sunday..so I'd still not be writing this review. And much to my suprise, when I opened the package, they had sent me a BRAND NEW Unit! XoticPC has lived up to all of the hype that I read before making a buying decision. Their entire team, from the call center where I completed my original order, to the service center who pleasently and expeditiously suprised me, and to Justin who is extremely dilligent and professional - You all deserve many praises. Thank you all so much for making this experience the best that I could have ever asked for, and then some!

Just wanted to let people know about how impressed I am with the Sager NP 5793. The build quality is very solid and the computer is no joke in speed. It looks very nice and my friends are equally impressed with this laptop wishing they would have gotten a Sager instead of a Dell or HP. The picture on the laptop looks much better then the Alienware my friend just picked up and he paid a considerable amount more than I did for the Sager. Xoticpc customer service is topnotch and kept me well informed throughout the whole process from build time to delivery everything worked out as I had envisioned it. Thanks Xoticpc for a great experience.

This will be my first laptop from Xotic and my second laptop. I took a long time grilling Xotic, Sager, HP, and Dell. Justin at Xotic was the first to respond to my barrage and by the time I finished my first several questions he had me hooked. Justin, not only a great resource before I even placed an order, continues to help even after, this kind of customer service I have never experienced before. Thank you!
My first laptop was an Inspiron E1405 that I bought and received from Dell 3 days before my first day of college began. It has lasted me this long, regardless of the five optical drives, three faceplates, and two batteries. (each covered under Dell warranty *but took 2 weeks to 2 months for replacements*.
I ended up purchasing a Sager NP9262 since my Inspiron is no longer able to keep up in the heavy programming centered work environment that I now work in. I am anxiously awaiting to see the results.

Well, the verdict is in. This is probably the best, if not one of the best, places to purchase a laptop from. Ever since I received my Sager they have helped me out, answered my questions, and did so in a very timely fashion. It is closing in on my first year, and this has been the best laptop I have had (I now have 5 laptops). It really is a powerhouse and is very durable. I would definitely say that if you are looking for a laptop, look no further than Xotic PC, simply because they aren't like many stores that sell you a computer and help the least they can, they help you before the purchase, with the purchase, after the purchase, and even on different miscellaneous questions. I ordered a Sager NP8660 though XoticPC and its performance has exceeded my expectations and I am quite pleased with both the notebook and XoticPC. XoticPC's customer service deserves high marks because their feedback is timely and they showed their commitment to making my online ordering experience pleasantly memorable by helping me with shipping changes and refunding a portion of my order due to a now acceptable misconfiguration. I will recommend XoticPC to others and definitely consider making my next notebook purchase through them again.

A year before I was to head off to college, I decided to make an investment in my future. My dated desktop was too bulky and slow to meet the demands of college and what I would be doing there. I concluded that I would need something faster and more mobile, and thus began my search for my first laptop. With a limited knowledge of brand name only sellers, I found myself ready to settle for mid-grade laptops from Dell, Alienware, and Hypersonic, until I suddenly stumbled upon something I had never heard of. While reading through notebook review forums, I repeatedly hear the names of Sager and Xotic PC mentioned. Interested in hearing more about these companies, I searched them online and began to discover more and more about them. At first I was a bit skeptical, but after a few months of research, I found that Xotic PC not only offered the lowest prices on their products, but that their service was equally amazing. One question that I frequently asked myself and saw others asking was the advantage of buyng through Xotic, rather than the original seller. The answer was price and quality of service. No other computer companies have been able to match the customer service of Xotic PC in my experiences, and I felt like a valued customer during the entire buy process. Although Xotic PC is not the largest company, they do a fantastic job helping new and old buyers, and ensure you recieve top notch products. In late December of 2007, I decided to place my order for a Sager NP5792 through Xotic PC and I have not regretted the decision since. I was so satisfied with the quality of my buy, that I decided to spread the word and become an active member of the Xotic PC forums. If your in the market for a powerful laptop at an incredibley affordable price, then I strongly recommend checking out Xotic PC. Why should you settle for "brand name less", when you can get the best from Xotic PC?

In searching for my first laptop PC I came across XoticPC. I didn’t know a great deal about the particulars of laptop PCs and was skeptical at first about dealing with this small company, especially sight unseen for such an item as a laptop. I knew what I did not want, but more importantly knew what I did want.
Imagine my surprise to find that XoticPC not only met my expectations, but far exceeded them!
After thinking about it for a while I decided to check them out. I made my first call to them and it was a very nice experience. I was greeted by a rep (Justin), who sounded very willing to assist me. I proceeded to ask a few questions and every one of them was answered kindly and completely. At no time did I feel rushed or like I was bothering them. I then read some of their information they have posted on their website and discovered more great things. I then decided to get some customer reviews. I ventured over to this site “Reseller Ratings” and ended up reading the 90 posts about XoticPC. I could not believe what I was reading at first, everybody had almost nothing but praise. Being a veteran reviewer myself I know how to spot a fake inside 15 seconds. Upon further digging I found that all these posts were real!
I went back and read more at XoticPC.com and found their warranty section. I could not believe my eyes upon reading the best warranty policy I have ever seen for a computer product! This is part of what drove me to go ahead and order from XoticPC, but it was not the whole reason.
The other part of the reason is the amazing service I received pre-sales, mid-sales, post sales and continue to receive! I must have called Justin and team at XoticPC 12 times with loads of questions over a two month period before I ever ordered my laptop. Never once was I put off or made to feel like I was bothering someone. Each and every time my questions were cheerfully answered. Not only that, but I was never put on hold longer than 25 seconds and that was only one time. The rest of the time there was no “hold”.
Overall I was made to feel of value. The other great thing is that I was never pressured at all. No sleazy sales tactics were ever used! I discovered it is not their style.
I have never received customer service at such a high caliber!! I felt like I was the only customer in a posh boutique looking to purchase a laptop PC without the snootiness and high prices. The most important things to me were warranty and tech support. To discover that every machine also comes with lifetime 24/7 “domestic” support was icing on the cake.
Bottom-line is that everything about XoticPC blew me away, from their customer service and support in all phases, pre to post and their warranties and tech support to their helpful forums.
Purchasing my laptop from XoticPC was the best purchasing experience I’ve had to date. No guessing or hoping I got the right thing and what have you. Everything was made to order and arrived in perfect condition, well packed and worked perfectly right out of the box! It was such a fantastic experience dealing with them, I wish I had the money to do it again right now. You can bet the bank that I will highly recommend them everyone I know who is looking for a laptop. I will also purchase from them again if that day comes.
In my opinion, you simply can not possibly go wrong getting your laptop from XoticPC.

Great customer service provided you know how to use it. I was in contact with their rep on notebookreview.com's forums, as well as their staff. They generally answer any questions within 1 business day. My laptop was delayed by a few weeks through no fault of theirs (the manufacturer pushed back the release date). My only complaint is that they wouldn't (couldn't?) provide a shipping date even a week in advance. After the laptop was delayed so long, I still got a 5 business day range in which it could be shipped at any time. This caused me a lot of stress because after the delays, I really needed it.

Ordered my laptop a couple months ago. They were very patient with my questions, and in the end I am 100% happy with the results. I can't comment on their support yet as I haven't had a single problem with the machine. I use it every day without a hitch (not counting Vista issues ha).

I recieved my laptop Sager NP5796 and I was very happy with the laptop :).
Xotic PC kept me informed with the status of the order from beginning to end and ALWAYS responded to my email inquiries .
It was one of the most pleasant buying experiences I have ever had.
Keep up the good work Xotic!
I would definitely buy from them again.

I was originally a little bit skeptical ordering from a company I had never heard of. After all, I had ordered off brands before, and I can't tell you how many times I've been had. I bought an off brand MP3 player that was supposed to compete with the iPhone (from a brand whose name I will not mention because at least I have a little respect), and the thing was a piece of junk. So when I first ordered from Xotic, it was only because of the reviews I had seen. Customers praised XoticPC for their outstanding service. First timers (like myself) switching over from Dell, Toshiba, HP, and even Alienware were amazed at how well Xotic handled their order, and how fast the laptop got to them. So I ordered my NP8660 with a little bit of doubt in the back of my head, thinking it was all too good to be true. Now, after two weeks of having my laptop, I can honestly say that every single review that you read out there that praises XoticPC for their customer service is absolutely right. The laptop arrived right on schedule, I recieved several calls and emails confirming said schedule, and that schedule was as quick as I've ever seen. Obviously, the prices there are litterally unbeatable. I attemted to search for a lower proce on ANY model based on the M860TU, and couldn't find one, especially a custom build. The laptop itself is the best laptop I've ever owned. It does everything want it to do quickly, and obviously games like no other. There is simply a certain feel of high quality about the entire process. This was my first time buying though XoticPC, and it will most certainly not be my last. I encourage everyone looking for a high end laptop and great service to try them.

I purchased the Sager NP5796 from XoticPC, and it is without a doubt the most powerful and amazing "portable" gaming laptop on the market. Top of the line features such as the Intel Montivina CPU, DDR3, the world most powerful mobile GPU (9800M GTX), and many other features, all covered in an attractive design, made this system the best choice of any system available. While I use the system for high end gaming from time to time, I also run a lot of professional apps such as Adobe's Photoshop CS3, Sony's Vegas, and E-On Software's Vue 6 applications. The NP5796 excels in the power processing these applications demand, yet when the work load is light, the hardware scales back beautifully and provides an amazing battery life. Sager claims 1-2 hours of battery on this system, however, I have been able to squeeze almost 4 hours out of it under office use. If you need a top end system for professional and gaming use, but don't want the weight, battery life, and size of the NP9262, this is your system. Dealing with XoticPC is amazing. I've never worked with a better company that manages so well. The techs I've spoken to were all American and spoke perfect english (YES!). I have recommended this company to everybody I can, and can guarantee you'll never buy from the "Big Guys" ever again...

I settled on XoticPC after reading pages and pages of positive customer reviews raving about their product performance, build quality, customer service, and warranty coverage. I placed my order on the 22nd of August and a few weeks later it arrived in pristine condition. That's after I contacted XoticPC to change some aspects of my initial order, and moved to a new place of residence. Along the way, XoticPC clearly stated what they needed from me to confirm addresses and order changes. I really can't see how it could have been more convenient, honestly. It added a little time onto the overall ship date, but that's to be expected with changes made from the customer after the order is placed.
As far as the laptop I got, it is, in a word, ridonculous. Check your dictionaries. Couldn't be happier with it. No garbage installed on the system. I downloaded the latest video card drivers from laptopvideo2go.com and within minutes was blasting through Very High DX10 Crysis. It's a beast of a system, to be sure. Sure, battery life is limited to say the least, but this desktop replacement is an amazing piece of technology that will be a well-loved toy of mine for years to come.
A huge plus for me being a relatively inexperienced PC user/modifier was the fact that XoticPC has their own forum page where you can sign in and interact with the community members and even cooler XoticPC employees monitor the forums and answer questions and offer tips and advice on further optimizing your system. In a few years when I'm in the market for the next latest-and-greatest I know where I'm going. XoticPC.

One of the best and easiest purchases I`ve ever made.
Justin was awesome during all the time, and tell you what, I even got some free screws when I lost mine, easy and friendly support, and you`ll know that somebody REAL takes care of your computer needs.
10/10 , already did a few recommandations to my friends, will continue to do so!
My Sager was one of the smartest buys I ever did and my next powerhouse will be another one, most definitely from Xotic!

I recently bought a MSI MS-1651 Barebone from Xotic PC, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. The notebook was great in almost every way, but what was even more outstanding is their service. All E-Mails are replied to within 24 hours, and oftentimes even much sooner. Justin even goes the extra mile to find out exactly what stage it was in production and also find out how I'm doing with my new laptop. My experience with them is nothing less than memorable, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.
