Deal with this reseller company at your own risk. while I delt with them based on numerous review sites such as this, my experiences we far different then the glowing reviews that are published here. They appear to be friendly and knowledgable, but in reality they just drag their feet and provide lip service. I have asked over and over again for an expected shipment date and all I got was automated emails saying "status change". I needed a new computer by the 13th of Nov, and in spite of many email requests for information, I still have no idea of when, if ever, they may be able to ship. I finally ended up cancelling my order and hope that they will at least acknowledge the cancellation.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience or problems you experienced during your ordering process. After placing a online order there were problems verifying this person's information with his credit card transaction, as we verify every order. This person requested a specific date he needed his new custom built laptop. We advised this person that his delivery date unfortunately could not be met and provided update on when the item would be available for shipment.  
 
We regret we were unable to meet this person’s sensitive delivery requirements as he returned from out of country. We immediately completed a cancellation of the order as requested.

This is the promised followup to our shopping experience as stated below. We received a call from the manager the afternoon after our order had been packed up and picked up by UPS. Day late and dollar short so to speak. They apologized for the service and asked what they could do to make things right. Considering all items were now on their way back, not much they could do. I did tell him that no offer of anything came until after this review was written and the products had been returned...a little slow on the uptake if you ask me. I also told him in reference to receiving the wrong mouse a VX Revolution, that the individual I spoke to hadn't even heard of that kind of mouse....ummm...switching label doesn't seem to apply to products that you don't even know you have. I also told him that the cooler I ordered was not the two fan Targus pictured on their site. The one they sent was a single fan cooler that would have been impossible to use on your lap due to its design. I mentioned this on my first call the same gentleman unfamiliar with the mouse I had been sent and was basically told that it is just the one they were sending out at that time and that none of the coolers would be able to be used on your lap. Well I am writing this followup with my brand new G50 A1 using my brand new VX Nano mouse with my brand new Targus (TWO FAN) cooler sitting in my lap. When asked what they could do to make things right I said nothing at this point as my new puter was already ordered and on its way. I was offered a discount at one point...product at another...and lastly cash. I basically told him that you can't unbake a cake and that what happened couldn't be undone and that this offer seemed to be prompted not by customer service but rather by our on-line review. As to the refund mentioned in the stores reply...we were called on Sept 30 and told we would get a full refund...they replied online on OCT 1st stating a full refund had been provided(see their response)...we received a call on OCT 2nd stating that the returned product had arrived and that at that point a refund was processed. Today OCT 7th the credit finally made it back to our account. Timeline doesn't exactly match but we did at least get our refund and in full as promised. The manager I spoke with basically just listened to me rant about all of the above...his offers of compensation seemed more driven by the review than by actual customer service. With the several offers of compensation made it makes one wonder just how many of the very satisfied customers were purchased rater than earned. Would we use Xotic in the future...not likely...would we recommend it to others...well...there are a few people out there that I am not particularly fond of.

Received wrong laptop and wrong mouse. Horrible customer service experience. How does a company that does this for a living make this kind of mistake and not catch it until a customer discovers the error--something about "labels getting switched"? The company did not make any attempt to salvage the situation. Rather than the company doing the right thing and offering to let me keep/use the wrong computer THEY sent until I had the correct replacement in hand, they wanted me to box it up and ship it to them tomorrow. Then, they will get the correct computer sent out the end of the week, as it (supposedly) takes that long to burn in the new computer. I personally feel they are just stalling for time to make sure they receive the "wrong" laptop back before they ship out the new one, as it only took them 2 days to get this one shipped out. They apparently don't trust me (although I have given them no reason not to trust me) but I am supposed to trust THEM (they have given me several reasons not to trust them)? They are the ones who sent me the wrong laptop--a cheaper model of course--and I have my doubts they would have ever brought it my attention had I not noticed it myself. And, oh yeah, I mentioned the fact that it will be a real pain to have to take off the programs I had loaded onto the laptop before my wife (who actually purchased the computer for me as a gift) finally got a look at it and realized it was not the one she ordered. Xotic's answer to that was for me to just send it with the stuff on it, as they will just be reformatting the drive. Helllllooo! Do I trust these folks to actually do that after the experience I have just had with them? I think not.  
 
So, I have cancelled my order and will be returning the laptop posthaste. Of course, this means the $2200 allotted towards the purchase of a new laptop will be tied up for who knows how long, delaying the purchase of a laptop from some other company by who knows how long. Very, very disappointing experience.  
 
I will be sure to post a followup update on my return experience to let folks know how that goes.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience & frustration caused by this uncommon situation where we mistakenly shipped the incorrect model. After being contacted by this customer that he received the wrong laptop our corrective actions included:  
 
1. Placing a new machine into immediate production/testing and scheduled to ship out once it completed testing .  
2. We issued a UPS Pick Up at our expense within hours of the customers call to pick up the laptop that was shipped in error and to be returned back to our location.  
 
The customer ultimately canceled his order and a 100% Full Refund was refunded back to him.  
 
We greatly apologize and regret our shipping error caused this inconvenience and frustration to the customer. We listen, learn, and adapt new systems to reduce the possibility of error. We are constantly striving to ensure that we exceed our customer’s expectations.

Great prices. Was sent to the wrong address but promptly corrected once I notified them. An item was missing when I received the package. 3 months later, laptop broke down, customer service was helpful but it still took a month to fix/ship. Overall, I feel they are an honest and caring company, but they need to work out a few things. They ship to Canada, which is great.

I believe I am the minority with a somewhat negative review for Xotic PC, but I have had a difficult time with my order.  
 
I ordered a 9280 laptop on May 24, 2009 and paid by wire transfer. I am a student and needed a replacement laptop as quickly as possible. The wire transfer was the quickest way to do it. The build time was 3-7 business days, and on day 3 my order went to phase 2, which meant it was in production. I called and asked how long it would take, and I was told the parts were there and it was currently being built, so it should be shipped within the 7 business days. On day 7 the status hadn't changed so I called again. I was told the Sager parts were on back order and their first batch of laptops had already been sent out... mine not included. I was told that the parts might be in next week, in 5 days, and then it would take another 3-7 business days on top of that to build. I am already 3 semesters into a course and needed a laptop now, so I asked for a refund. Refunds are typically sent back as a check, which would have been held for an additional 5 days by most banks.  
 
EDIT: Issues have since been resolved. Thank you Jason for understanding the importance of this, and going through the extra effort to resolve the issue.

No complaints, everything went through without problems. Pre-order costumer service was great, email answers were always friendly, polite and helpful and came within a day, often even faster. Assembly and shipping after ordering was as quick as one could ask for. Order changes were done without problems, wishes for exotic foreign parts were fulfilled.  
Payment went through wihout hickups, refunds were no problem.  
The delivered system was exactly as ordered and works better than great. I'm a very satisfied costumer.

Xotic PC is simply the best place to get a laptop!  
 
The staff is knowledgeable about their products and they allow for live chatting to discuss which laptop suits your personal needs. The prices are also very reasonable and the shipping is fast. The products are also very well made and I am very happy with my Sager NP2098 Laptop.  
 
Getting a laptop from anywhere other than Xotic PC is a mistake.

this was my first experience ordering a "specialty" laptop not from one of the big brands (sony, dell, etc), and i'm really happy i did so through xoticpc. the prices are good and even cheaper than the direct sager website with xotic's cash discount. and joseph from the sales dept was terrific to work with - i always received very prompt and helpful replies to all my inquiries and requests. overall, i had a great experience with xoticpc and would not hesitate to highly recommend them (i already have!).

I would have to highly recommend xoticpc! Their sales staff were always friendly even though I changed my order 3 times. I couldn't be happier with my Asus G51J-A1. Also fyi if you're looking into purchasing a laptop from them they have excellent forums with benchmarks and tests describing the products! Amazing! I'll DEFINITELY be a repeat customer!

Outstanding... I am truly blown away by the performance of this laptop, I thought it would be on part of my old E7200/9800GT Desktop combo I had, well it's much better! For what you pay for you really get much more in Sager/Clevo, the products are rock solid and very well built. I can play Crysis on this machine with gamer spec and hit 25-32fps on a laptop mind you! Also the heat is not bad as some have claimed, I left my fan option on the bio’s on continuous. With that option when this unit hits around 60c the fan stays on continuous and adjust speed accordingly to keep the components cool. Plus the cooling chassis is solid heavy grade copper, quality you just don’t get in lower end manufactures. Xotic-PC price matched this machine for me and gave me an outstanding deal, I would recommend them to anyone. Sager NP8662 CPU: Intel P8700 @ 2.53 GHz GPU: GTX 260M/Folding RAM: G.Skill DDR3 1066Mhz 4GB SSD: G.Skill Falcon 64GB.

I am writing my review of XoticPC and the great customer service I received from my sales rep Justin during my purchase of a SAGER NP8690 (Clevo W860CU) custom 15.4" gaming laptop.  
 
Prior to purchasing I had been emailing and using the online chat function of xoticpc.com where Justin and another sales rep were very patient and knowledgeable with my questions. I was actually considering purchasing another Sager model when the NP8690 was released. Justin provided me with some preliminary information, and after the first reviews of the new model I was ready to order.  
 
Over the past couple months I had been saving up any credit card gift cards I had received to use towards the purchase of my new laptop. Some of the other Sager resellers I talked to could not accept these or allow multiple forms of payment. Justin said this would be fine, I just needed to call in my order.  
 
The order phone call was painless, as Justin and I had been in previous contact. He created my account and we reviewed all the options I was considering. He provided input and answered my questions, but did not pressure me to purchase anything extra. He took my multiple forms of payment and since I called after 5pm on a Friday he said the order would post on Monday.  
 
Monday came and there was a issue with one of my gift cards. It took a couple of days and calls to their billing department, but eventually it was worked out on their end and my order was sent to production. Unfortunately after this delay there was now a 2 week backorder from the vendor on the new models. To compensate me for the billing issue that made me subject to the delay, Xotic upgraded my shipping one level. During the backorder Justin was very helpful and patient with my status inquiries, and gave me estimates of when my order would ship.  
 
Once I received my laptop it was as described and I am really happy with my purchase. Justin even contacted me after the sale to ask if I had any questions or concerns and to make sure I was satisfied. During the whole process I received a total of 14 emails from XoticPC keeping me informed of the status of my order. I would order again without hesitation from XoticPC. Thank you!

This is the first time I buy laptop online. I searched for a portable gaming laptop and XoticPC answered my desire, it's the Sager NP8690, a customisable gaming notebook. XoticPC answered all the question I need in hours, no worries about the parts I request, the invoice and payment, and the shipping is really quick!! Hopefully everyone will read this and also join the ranks of those of us who are truly happy with Xoticpc. Ordered a Sager 9280 with the i7 -975 and I have to say it is truly a screamer. Your staff has been from day of ordering to now real professional , courteous and very knowledgeable. When I order my next laptop one day and I will it will be from you guys. I am also recommending you to all of my friends who are looking for laptops as well.

Awesome company. The product was top notch. It was delivered much quicker than I expected. They have answered every question I have had precisely and promptly. Will I buy from them again, ABSOLUTELY!!!
