I'm writing this review on the best computer I ever had, and that is saying a lot. I just can't say enough about this company. First of all, this is (again) the best computer I ever had, and I've owned dozens, literally. I've also built computers myself for a living, and know quality work when I see it. So I say again, this is the best computer I ever had, period.
As for their service: wow. A month and a half after I bought the computer, the power source failed. I emailed (on another computer) the fine folks in customer service at TastyComputers, and within 24 hours they had FedEx'ed me a brand new and BETTER power source (the original was a 650w power source; they replaced it with an 800w power source, at no extra charge), along with careful instructions on how to remove the other and replace the new power source as well. I had my computer up and running again faster than if I'd had their service people come over and do it for me. I was VERY impressed with their customer service; better than any I've found anywhere else, in fact.
Thanks, folks, and I'd recommend TastyComputers to anyone who wants the best computer they'll ever own.

After spending many hours online researching computer vendors, I decided to email Russell Sullivan at tastycomputers.com to ask a few questions regarding a prospective build. I liked the logical layout of his site and the fact I could carefully select each component for my new system. Initially, I was somewhat reluctant to deal with a "small company" rather than sticking with a giant manufacturer. Well, it turns out Russell Sullivan is a professional who really knows his stuff, and he provided me with more quality customer service than any mega-manufacturer ever had. After a week of pre-sale email correspondence, he had courteously answered all my questions and expressed a willingness to answer more. Once I ordered my new computer, it took a little longer than I expected because I was used to the way the big manufacturers do it. Rather than taking parts off the shelf or slapping parts together and throwing the computer in a box in the shortest possible time, Russell uses brand new parts and takes care to ensure the system is stable and trouble-free before he ever ships it. As he put my new system through a testing/burn-in phase, he sent email updates so I was never out-of-the-loop. In addition, he updated all drivers and the OS so everything was current when I received it. As for my new computer, I chose a Flava-X38 with a Gigabyte 3D Mars brushed aluminum full tower with blue lighting. It's a very nice looking tower that is more impressive than any other system I've ever owned. With the aluminum case and several fans, my computer runs very cool while remaining quiet in operation.
Bottom Line- Dealing with Russell Sullivan and tastycomputers.com was a pleasant experience, and I am a very satisfied customer who wouldn't hesitate to order again.

A couple years ago I purchased a computer from Russ, with the recommendation from a fellow employee, and was pleased with the results. The whole process of ordering and upgrading to my specifications was a pleasurable experience with out the hassle of a sales pitch. He truly wants you to have a perfect product that you would be happy with.
Anyway, two years latter I wanted to add a new hard drive and memory in which I thought I could install with out any support. Well as you know things did not go as well as I expected. I called Russ and with out any hesitation he immediately started working on my problem with a precise and accurate manner for trouble shooting. His knowledge of the components and how they interact with each other is far superior to any help desk I have encountered. At the end of this ordeal I offered to compensate him but he refused (try doing this with the big companies).
I have been soliciting his company for years now, but most people would rather not spend the money. My point is that you will buy a cheaper brand and in two years you will need another one. With Tasty your computer can be easily upgraded with components you purchased somewhere else and still get technical support. I would not buy any other brand but Tasty……

Great experience. Quality components and excellent service. Their existing cases did not meet my width limitations and Russell worked with me to find an excellent case that meets my needs. He has been in frequent e-mail contact throughout the buying, shipping and installation process. I have had a couple minor issues which he has addressed immediately. This is the only way to buy a high-end computer!!

I don't often give reviews for products and services I purchase, if only because the experiences usually has some negative atachment to the sale. However, I must tell the world about my experience with Tasty Computers and my purchase of a Pentium 4 system.
From my initial contact with Russell to the final purchase of my custom machine, I have had nothing but positive vibes. Tasty Computers has been profesional, knowlegeable, and helpful with my transaction.
Now that my machine has arrived with a better AGP card than the one I originally ordered (my model was out of stock and Russell did not want me to wait beyond my original due date), I can say I am completely satisfied.
I can and will recommend Tasty Computers to all and sundry.
Well done guys and thanks.

These guys gave me exactly what I wanted at a very fair price and quickly. My new computer is very quiet and fast, my 2 priorities. You can track the status of your order online, and they put up an actaul photo of your computer when it's been built. Everything worked great right out of the box, and they really put a personalized human touch on any communications I've had from them. I'd recommend tastycomputers.com to anyone who's looking for something high-end with all the latest retail components tested thoroughly with a 3 year warranty with free Fedex 2nd Day shipping included at a fair price.

We just want to notify potential customers that our default free shipping method has been changed to FedEx® Home Delivery effective 03/31/2004. We have found that the majority of our customers would prefer a lower system price in exchange for waiting an extra day (on average) to receive their order.
We greatly appreciate all of the positive comments placed from our customers! |

TastyComputers was just what I was looking for.
I wanted a custom pc but didn't have the time (or energy!) to build one myself. I did a lot of research and then bounced my ideas off of the sales rep at Tasty. They made good recommendations about everything from mb to memory to power supplies. I should tell you that they spent quite a bit of energy on me, even before I commited to buying anything from them. You won't find this kind of service from one of the major vendors.
In the end, they built me a box to my specifications and I am delighted with it. They even shipped it to my particular needs so I would be home when it arrived. It booted right up and I have no real problems with it.
It sounds a bit trite to say they met my every expectation, but so far they have...and I am confident if I have any issues they will help me resolve them.
