Ordered a Nikon flash. They followed up with a call saying it's backordered 4-6 weeks. Instead they offered me a "better" flash that's compatible with Nikon for the same price.  
On the positive side they gave me a quick refund.

The company was both efficent and helpful. I felt secure using their online transaction process. I also had called the company and was treated with both respect and helpfulness.

HOW DOES THIS PLACE STAY IN BUSINESS!!! Fortunately I found resellerratings.com before I continued with my purchase from NWV Direct.com. I ordered a Sony HVL-F42AM Flash recently. I noticed that the prices were greatly reduced from other retailers. I also read the reviews from supposed customers saying how great NWVDirect was. A couple days later a service rep called back giving me a story that the flash I ordered was on a NATIONWIDE backorder. Yes not just a backorder but a NATIONWIDE backorder and that they wouldn't be available for at least a month. He went on to say that because of the inconvenience they would "upgrade" me to a much more expensive flash that was comparable to the HVL-F56AM (which is the top of the line sony alpha flash). He also noted that the flash they would upgrade me to was priced at over 300 hundred dollars compared to the 190 dollars I was going to purchase my sony flash for. Something didn't seem right so I told him I would call back. I searched the site to find that the "upgraded" flash was made by a company known as "Digital Concepts." Just by looking at the pictures provided the flash looked CHEAP. I further researched Digital Concepts and found that the same model that was going for 300+ on NWV Direct was going for 100 dollars elsewhere. I immediately called back and instructed NWV Direct to cancel my order. If I had listened to the phony story the sales rep gave me I would have ended up purchasing a piece of crap flash at an OVERINFLATED price. It’s a serious outrage that a business would have such immoral business tactics.

I search several sites for my product and NWV Direct had the best deal and delivery was prompt. I was very satisfied with my purchase.

I was very pleased with the overall dealings that I have had with New World Video both via email and by telephone. I will shop again with them when the opportunity arises.

There was a minor availability issue with my original order for an original Canon part for my new A590IS. When I contacted them by phone I spoke with Maurice who was extremely helpful in getting me what I needed. He pointed out some issues about the original Canon part with which I had to agree with since I already own a similar part from Canon for my old A70. I'm a competitive shopper and I believe I'm winding up with a better overall value in that Maurice was able to include another accessory I really needed and was able to stay within my original price target. I'm familiar with the vendor of the part that Maurice recommended as I have several other of their products and am happy to go with this choice. I haven't received the merchandise yet as I just placed the order. I will update this review when I get the new products. But I'm pleased with the customer service experience so far!

This company tries to scam you! Dont order or atleast dont fall into their trap! What they do is they offer really low proces on OEM products and then once you order them, they call you the next day saying it is "backordered" and suggest an aftermarket product that is "comparable". DONT BUY FROM THEM IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR QUALITY PRODUCTS! Their website inventory isn't accurate and the sales men are pushy!

ordered a sony flash... instead of receiving flash, 'sal' called and tried to sell another cheap brand at an over inflated price. The store did not have any intention on selling the original sony. NWV uses the classic 'bait & switch' scam method. Do not buy from NWV Direct.

All I needed was a rechargable litium ion battery for my camera. The price was excellent, and the delivery was quick. I did not have any problems with this company. I will order from them again if they're price stays low.

The salesman was very helpful in locating the appropriate conversion adapter for my camera and lenses. This after failure with another on-line company to provide the appropriate adapter with the order. The order arrived very quickly and was reasonably priced.

I have very limited knowledge of digital cameras and video recorders and wanted to upgrade ours' for wildlife. A better choice was available than what I ordered and the representative actually contacted me with this information. The working knowledge of this individual was great and his attitude of helpfulness was totally unexpected. The telephoto lens I received for the Olympus SP-510UZ is great as is the lens for the SONY Handycam DCR-HC26. I highly recommend NWV Direct for its' outstanding service and products. Whenever I have a need for items sold by NWV, I will return.
