This company is very responsive to question, has very good products at reasonable prices and delivery is very good. Products are as described

Placed an order for a Canon CB-2LW batter charger and a NB-2LH battery yesterday. Then I read some of the reviews on here and other websites from people who purchased similar items and were "bait and switched".  
Lo and behold, just now I received a call and email from them saying my order "required attention". I returned the call to hear exactly what I was expecting, the item was "out of stock". NWV: Why do you list so many items on your website that are "out of stock"? Why not just put in red letters on the item's page "Out Of Stock"? Are your inventory tracking practices really that bad? I seriously doubt you ever had any intention of supplying this product to anyone.  
Upon hearing it wasn't available, I asked the rep on the phone if he'd be "offering me a cheap non-name-brand alternative," to which he quickly and carefully (I assume to prevent me from claiming bait and switch) replied that no, the order is cancelled and my card was never charged.  
 
Bottom line:  
Avoid this company.

I am truly satisfied with NWV Direct’s service. I I made a mistake and ordered the wrong item and without hesitation they exchanged my order in a heart beat and also covered the shipping. I would recommend anyone out there making an online purchase to start with NWV Direct as their first and last stop.

I couldn't ask for more. Their web site search engine easily found exactly what I needed and at a great price. The checkout process was user friendly. The delivery was quick. I'll be back.

We needed camera batteries, and we needed them fast. That is exactly what we received. Great service, as promised! We'll be back for sure.

NWV sent me my package very promptly and gave me the tracking number. The problem was, I never got the package. I don't know if it was stollen or what, but I contacted NWV and told them my situation. Without me even asking, they simply sent me out a new item!! I couldn't believe it, and they didn't charge me or anything. They are an honest and thoughtful company, I highly recommend them!!

My experience was HUGELY NEGATIVE - this was a waste of time!  
 
I called and the rep told me it was back ordered for 8 to 12 weeks. I then asked him if there was any guarantee I would get the order in 8 - 12 weeks if I waited. He responded by saying, "Well it looks like this item has some distortion issues and that is why it is back ordered." I was like seriously? That response doesn't even mean anything. What are they going to do fix the distortion issue on a product made by another company??? Makes no sense. My advice (*based on my experience): STAY AWAY!

Update: Literally 10 seconds after I left this review someone from the company called me hassling me about the way my review was worded. Saying, "You were not Bait and Switched, we did not offer you another product when we called you." No but I did waste 2 hours of my day trying to find the lowest price and placing my order on your site only to be called and told it was back ordered. Back ordered? Canon doesn't even make this lens anymore! pffft. The guy was nice I will give him that but wasting my time and bothering me at home is totally unacceptable and a horrible way to do business.  
 
He also told me he would make sure the item was taken down soon and that they would write please call about the item instead of having available for purchase. We will see... I will update on that in a couple weeks.

I would absolutely order from New World Video Direct again. Not only are the prices the best around you receive your order quick and promptly. I was missing a step up ring in the order and they quickly got it to me and they have great customer service. I highly reccommend NWV Direct.

This was the second of two orders which were both processed immediately and shipped immediately to arrive the next day. I am very satisfied and happy with the product and the service.

My opinion of NWV is mixed. On the one hand, they sent me a different battery than the one I ordered. It was a cheaper, lower capacity battery than what I paid for, so I was upset. However, when I called, they immediately apologized and offered a full refund or a second battery of the same kind (the original one I ordered was out of stock). I opted for the second battery, and it shipped the same day. Take that info for what you will.

After finding the nvwdirect website by googling a lens I was interested in, I used the "live chat" option to check if the item was in stock. A customer rep quickly emailed me with his phone# and extension. On calling him I discovered the item was not in stock, but he helped me find a substitute that was in stock.
