I ordered a Christmas present from them (via Amazon) on December 6th; the site claimed item was in stock and ready to ship. On December 13th they send an email saying that because of a 90 minute delay in amazon passing along orders, my item was no longer in stock.
BAD customer service. Not to be trusted on shipping dates, in-stock status, etc.

My friend just bought a Camera for 519$ and they advertised 12.49 shipping charges initially. Once the order was placed the link was updated right away same day the same order with no shipping charges. My friend contacted Amazon and ACE Photo Digital and they said they are crediting the amount after one day the price of the item was reduced again to 479$ at that time the item was not shipped. My Friend contacted both Amazon and ACE Photo Digital and both of them refused to refund the amount. Every where in North America there is always price guarantee at least for 1-2 days but both Amazon and ACE were putting this on each other and none of them giving the benefit to customer so on the whole we lost 54$ for nothing.
Customer service replies prompt but for nothing. I would recommend not to buy from cheaper sites cause you try to save your $$$ but eventually you harm yourself in thinking too much and wasting your time in silly emails or phone calls for nothing. That is why Best Buy, Sears or Walmart on the top as they care about customers first not about theirselves making money.

They Got Paid / I Never Received Order / No Communication
I placed an order for a camera battery on May 2, 2009 through Amazon.com. As of May 12, 2009 I have not received the battery nor any e-mail or telephone contacts with an acknowledgment and/or shipping (tracking) information.
My credit card was charged for the item on the same day it was ordered. Ship date was shown as May 2nd to May 4th. This reseller got my money but failed to ship the item. I had to call this reseller today and thus promptly canceled my order. I asked why I never got the item. I was told they didn’t know why.
In this economy, I’d expect all businesses to go out of their way to assure customers receive the upmost service and to receive what they pay for in a timely manner. At least the courtesy of contacting a customer and letting them know they are not going to get their order as promised and why. I needed this item by the 14th, so I think two weeks was plenty of time to expect the item.
This reseller has pretty good reviews but I’ll never spend my hard earned money with them if they don’t respect every customer no matter how much the dollar amount comes to per order. Interestingly, Ace Photo Digital does not show up in the list of resellers for this battery any more. I wonder why?

Ordered from Amazon a GE Lifestyles Series Phone. Based on reviews it sounded good. Imagine our surprise that the phone was used (there were multiple phone numbers stored in the memory). We ordered a NEW phone. Not used or refurbished. We had to contact Ace Photo and Digital directly and got the same "97% satisfaction" garbage from both Amazon and Ace. However, it appears that perhaps Amazon does not allow the not so happy individuals to post their comments. Yoo hoo, Amazon, (Jeff Bezos), what is up with that? Ace offered to send out another phone. Dare say we trust them. They did send a postage paid mailer. Amazon did do a credit. But all in all it was a major hassle in terms of my time spent with these individuals.

I ordered a lens, the Nikon 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6G VR AF-S DX Nikkor, from this company on Amazon.com. About a week later I received the following e-mail from Amazon.com:
"Greetings from Amazon.com,
We're writing to inform you that your order 102-9483404-6257857 from Ace
Photo Digital has been cancelled.
Our sellers strive to minimize cancelled orders. We're sorry for any
inconvenience this has caused. Your credit card was not charged for this
order. For more information regarding why this order was cancelled, please
contact Ace Photo Digital.
If you're still interested in this item, please search for it again on
Amazon.com.
We've included your order details below for reference. We've also included
the URL for the item you purchased if you'd like to try ordering from
another seller.
We value you as a customer and hope you will continue shopping on
Amazon.com."
As far as I can tell, my credit card was not charged. But I did waste a week of my time expecting my purchase to be delivered. Now I must start over. If an item is not available, it should not be offered for sale.

I ordered a Kodak EasyShare Z1012 10.1MP Digital Camera Z-1012 + 2GB Accessory Kit and paid almost $300 for it. They sent me some wrong accessories that weren't compatible with the camera so therefore the camera was completely useless to me. I emailed them and let them know that they sent me some of the wrong stuff and they claimed the hadn't after alot of back and forth from them as well as amazon they told me I could return the item for a full refund. I sent the item acknowledged that they received it and told me that they were going to refund me only $20 because it was not returned in its original packaging. I contacted amazon about this and they said that the company later on told them that I didn't send back all of the merchandise. I have not received any money back and I have no merchandise from them so I basically handed over $300 bucks for nothing. I have contacted a lawyer and we are going to pursue this so if you would like to be involved in this lawsuit please email me amandareed20@gmail.com My lawyer is putting together paperwork over the next week and then we are going to file the suit so please get to me as quickly as you can. If you'd like you can send me a written statement of your expereince. Thank you.

Purchased a Quantum FW-12 Hot Shoe Adapter Accessory for the FreeXwire Digital Radio Slaves that I use with my Mamiya 645 ZD.
The product came to me faulty, defective and missing a part. Be sure to exercise caution and immediately inspect your purchases to make absolutely certain Ace Photo is not providing used and faulty merchandise. I must say, there communications thus far quickly responded to and polite. However, they refuse to stand behind their product sales.
I will not shop Ace Photo in the future nor recommend them.

Unfortunately any positive feedback on this company was lost when I received the following spam:
Girls don't like you?
We have a solution !
U can restore your health just right now .
Simple way to enhance your sexual life .
Fast-acting sexual boost pills
The spam wasn't sent by acephotodigital.com however it was sent to an email address that I've only ever used with them (acephotodigital@mydomain.com). I guess they needed to bring in additional revenue by selling their customer list to a 3rd party? Hard to say how someone else ended up with it. Servers compromised? Also possible. No response from customer service when I asked what happened. They've lost all future business from me. This review was modified by its author, scottfl, on

If you are stationed overseas with the US Military, forget about buying from Ace Photo and Digital. They called me and said it's to much of a hassle to send to an APO. Good thing it only took them 5 days to tell me.

The product never arrived and i was only told two not to expect it after the delivery date had passed. I lost $28 on the refund due to a change in exchange rates, and on asking to re order with a discount taking this loss into account, they replied with unhelpful short/single word e-mails. Awful customer service, I still want the item but will happily pay a little extra not to use this company again.

I placed an order for a Memory Card from Ace Photo & Digital back in January and paid for Expedited shipping (2-Day shipping). I ordered on January 7 and received the item on the 14th.
Hardly worth the extra $18 I paid for rush delivery. 5 minutes after I posted my negative review on Amazon, the owner called me and basically pressured me to remove the review and offered me shipping compensation. I asked him how much, he said he did not know since he didnt handle those transactions personally.
WRONG. After I was off the phone with him, my amazon accounted was noted with a $5 refund.
Shady pressure tactics and business practices and I would NEVER buy from their store again. Their service left a bad taste in my mouth. Cheaper prices doesnt make up for bad customer service.

I, too, ordered the X-Rite Eye-One Design as the poster below did earlier this week and received an X-Rite Eye-One Display 2 instead.
The customer service people were courteous, but completely unable to resolve the problem to my liking and satisfaction. The best they could do is refund my order and have it shipped back to them at their expense.
However, I told them to on the phone that I'd be filing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau of metropolitan New York for false advertising and misleading sales practices.
Instead of recapping what happened, I'll just reprint in entirety what I submitted to the BBB:
~~~
To Whom It May Concern,
I had sought to purchase an X-Rite Eye-One Display 2 colorimeter for properly calibrating my computer monitors for color correction in digital photography editing applications like Adobe Photoshop. I knew that I could purchase it off of JR.com (J&R) via Amazon.com's marketplace for $169.99 plus shipping charges. When I did a search for the X-Rite product, I happened to notice that a more expensive calibration device package, the X-Rite Eye-One Design, which retails for an MSRP $995, for a mere $219.99. Instantly I thought this was too good to be true. However, I checked the merchant's seller page and in no way, shape, form or fashion did they indicate that this was not the correct item listed for sale. Other merchants conveniently noted that the device in fact they were selling, on the X-Rite Eye-One Design product page, was the X-Rite Eye-One Display 2. The merchant in question, Ace Photo Digital, had an excellent customer feedback rating with sales exceeding fifty-thousand customers served. I placed an order for the product, the X-Rite Eye-One Design, for their listed price of $219.99 in the early morning on February 4th, and made a record of every related web page in the ordering process--I have Windows XP desktop screen shots of every web page while I ordered as evidence. I will reiterate the fact that in no way was I made aware that the wrong item would be shipped out to me in three days time. When the product arrived on 6th, I opened the shipping package to find an X-Rite Eye-One Display 2, the item which I did not expect. I immediately called their customer service department Wednesday evening when I arrived home from work (shortly after I had received the package). I was unable to speak with anyone or leave a voicemail because their New York store was closed and they did not support that calling feature, respectively. In continuing my effort to make contact with them, I composed an e-mail explaining everything that happened and suggested that they should honor their advertised price and ship out the correct item, the X-Rite Eye-One Design, in exchange for the item they mistakenly shipped. The only response I received last night was an automated one informing me that my e-mail was being processed and will be reviewed within three business days. Unsatisfied, I called today, the 7th of February, expressing my frustration and asked them how they planned to resolve this problem. I was put on hold several times, and after a few calls they told me that someone had listed the product incorrectly. They explained that they meant to list their SKU for the X-Rite Eye-One Display 2 under the correct product description that matched it, instead of under the X-Rite Eye-One Design for the low price of $219.99. I told them it was unacceptable and that they should honor their mistake and let me purchase the item I wanted, the X-Rite Eye-One Design, for their advertised price. They said no and admitted that they do not even carry such a product. I was stunned to hear that for a few reasons: 1) they had the product listed at the $219.99 price point for the entire time my order was being processed and shipped. That night after I had received the wrong item, they still had the X-Rite Eye-One Design for sale. 2) in the morning I checked to see what they would do in response to my e-mail, which would alert them to their mistake. Lo and behold the item was now correctly listed for the more commonly found MSRP $995 market price. I asked them point blank why they would still be selling this item on their Amazon.com marketplace, after having realized it was wrongly listed and priced, if they had just told me that they did not carry it at all! I immediately called them out on a bait and switch scam. Why else would they list a product for a low price, to entice buyers, and then ship out the wrong item? After speaking with a supervisor, the best he could do to console me was to have me ship the item back at their cost. I said I'll do that if they promised to ship the correct item, the X-Rite Eye-One Design, in exchange. He refused. I asked him why I would purchase an X-Rite Eye-One Display 2 for $219.99 from them if Amazon.com sells it for only $169.99! He conceited the point and offered a $50 discount to price match. In my mind, it wasn't fair after I went through all the trouble on account of their mistake in false advertising to give them my business. I made a final offer to have them sell it to me at half price, $110, to fix this mess, but they refused. Finally, I told them that I am filing a complaint with you, the BBB, and Amazon.com.
I ordered an Eye-One Design monitor/printer calibrator from this store through Amazon. It was advertised as a "low price". What I received was the Eye-One Display 2 calibrator for monitors only, and the price I paid was actually very high. When I complained, they said that the Eye-One Design was not in stock and that the Amazon listing was a "mistake". Yeah, right. This is your classic Brooklyn boiler room operation playing the old bait-and-switch scam. I reported this to Amazon, but Amazon couldn't care less. So much for Amazon's "A-to-Z" guarantee. I left negative feedback for this store on Amazon and Amazon deleted it ! Sounds like some complicity there. I've made my last purchase from this store and my last purchase from Amazon.
STAY AWAY FROM ACE PHOTO DIGITAL !
I placed an order for what I thought was an "in stock" item on 12-12-07. I received a confirmation that it would be shipped within 24 hours. Then today, 12-21-07 I received a cancellation email said the order was canceled. I was expecting delivery of this small item by today, not a cancellation. Because of this experience, I will be sure to "NEVER" by from this company again. Now I just need to make sure they don't charge me for the item I never received!
On Nov 25 (Sunday, so that doesn't count) I ordered through Amazon, which showed "in stock" and a predicted arrival date of Nov 29-Dec 4. On Dec 5 I contacted Ace, who filled my order the next day and shipped via UPS ground. The order arrived Dec 10.
Ordered "in stock" Nov 26. Delivered Dec 10. Not too hot.
